    Tried this today. Although I don't like Hing, having tempered it well in the hot oil took care of my dislike to the pungent smell, and I guess it did add to the flavour! In fact, it was delicious! Enjoyed my Hara Choliya of the season! Thanks for a great recipe!🤩

    I wish I could understand Hindi! So much information!
    Does this taste the same if I use the normal dried channa. I don't think I can find any green channa.

      Evelyn6825 I use frozen green channa/ choliya that’s available here in USA. Works great.

      We buy fresh green chana/ choliya if in season or frozen in many Indian shops in London.I bought frozen cholla last week in Indian Gujarati shop .

    Thanks for sharing your recipe. I would like to draw your attention to recipe that you made with chholiya wasn't cooked but in recap chholiya precook and then made the curry as you made!! Can you please clarifiy ????the best way of making chholiya curry???? Thanks

      May be, coz raw choliya may not cook properly, if added after dahi. So it's better to add pre-cooked choliya after addition of dahi. Otherwise one can skip dahi and add raw choliya to the cooked masala.

      The description in both videos are different, but I think both ways are good as pre cooking the chana will just cut down the time of cooking.

      I think it's a mistake to cook in cooker.choliya cooks very fast.Tastes good even half cooked.Thats y Sanjeev said not to overcook.Its eaten raw as well

      Thanks for sharing your lovely recipes, but confusing.chef Sanjive brother did not mention to pre cook green chana .also didn’t mention to use sour yoghurt or fresh yoghurt. It will be helpful if your measurements and direction clear to follow your recipes. Thanks .

    यह रेसिपी confusion वाली है.. इसमे पहले छोलिया गरम पानी में उबाल्ले फिर बादमे डायरेक्ट डाले... सही बताव दादा...
    वैसे आप बडे भाव खाके बताते हो...
    ढंग अच्छा रहे तो मझा आयेगा..

    I mean which salt you put in your dishes?
    Kya ap sendha salt daalein hai ya जहरीला रिफाइंड साल्ट which is not salt but it has been raped and 82 trace elements hv been taken away and only sodium chloride plus some dangerous cancer causing chemicals known as anti caking agents.
