    I have a pair of passive Alto 315s used with a Yamaha Powered Desk (500W RMS clean per chan). I can attest that the sound is amazing and even allows for the bass player to plug directly into the desk for those occasions when he turns up to the gig but forgets his combo amp. They are a bit heavy to lift off the poles at the end of a gig. Of course the drummer is busy with his kit and the bass player has sloped off for a smoke and the singer is too precious to indulge in any manual work. Sound familiar?

    I know of someone up in Denver that turned a three wheeled bicycle into a sound bike with one of these. Powered by two Optima "Blue Top" batteries, a 3000w inverter and an aux cable for streaming music from a cellphone.

    Got a pair about 6 months ago and used them every weekend for wedding dj, party dj and karaoke shows and they're doing an amazing job with enough bass and superb volume for up to 80 people.
    Still deciding about the subwoofer, as I was wondering shall I pair it with 15" or 18"... I think one 18" should suffice but still deciding.

      You are doing up to 80 people with just a pair of this s

      @@SuAmigoElilegal the bass is very well handled actually. I didn't used even the knob till the middle and my dj controller is adjusting everything.
      I believe it can reach up to 150 people set in a good height as well.
      And I got a TS315S subwoofer as well, so my bass and speakers are amazingly balanced.
      Totally love the pur hase and will probably getting a second sub soon

    Have you compared the 315 to the 415?not so much concerned with the bluetooth and that stuff but are is the extra wattage noticable?

    • @SuAmigoElilegal
      @SuAmigoElilegal 7 місяців тому

      There is not much of different is just the Bluetooth and a little different look o guess but overall is sounds the same. You might not notice any changes at all if u put them and test them together but they will tell that it has more power
      Anyway the sound is the same . I mean is good and decent but if u compare to ev or qsc is different

    This brand gets a lot of bad press. I have had a pair of original ts12 300 Watts rms. Had them for 4 years never let me down and even hired them out to small bands. If you run your desk properly then you will be OK.

    I've got the TS308's and am pretty sure that I'll add a TS408 or two, but I just can't seem to get answers as to how to connect a bluetooth signal through a TS4 series to a subwoofer, and why is the bluetooth signal not available on the xlr output?

    Hi, I have notcied that the HI, MID are gone when DJing sound is really
    bad, very bassy, not clear whatsoever, I believe it may be the Tweeter. I
    only bought these speakers less than 10 months ago and have used them
    only about 6 times a small events? Is this normal? Do you think I would
    be covered with Warranty or any advice you can give me?

    • @skeletalwreck
      @skeletalwreck 3 роки тому

      From my research, its a relatively common issue to blow a tweeter. However, it is usually down to user error. For example, I noticed you said you used these speakers for DJing. That would be 'Line Level'. Most equipment will have a line-level / mic-level switch. These do not. They turn into Mic-Level after the 12 o'clock position of the volume knob. This means it is easy to accidentally run line level equipment much too hot on these speakers. Did you use them with the volume turned up past the half way point on the speakers volume control? If so, you would have been running them past what they are designed to handle. Hope this helps some.

      @@skeletalwreck Thanks for your reply. I actually had always under 12 o'clock at most I would have went to 11 maybe just under as they were very small gigs at home. • @mightyquinn5135
      @mightyquinn5135 10 місяців тому

      The better comparison would be to RCF HD12 A MK5 even then the RCF is twice the price.
      The reality is you could buy these or some other $400 speaker start getting gigs and making money and within 6 months reinvest into the high end stuff or you could just work your "real" job for another year till you save another 1500 and then start. Seems to me you should start with what you can afford and then if you need to reinvest. Even then if the Altos get the job done or the beginner controller is doing what you need then why drop 2k? It's a business not a status symbol. You don't see Dominoes Pizza buying Rolls Royce for their delivery drivers. Obviously, reliability is important, but you don't need to drop 2k to get reliable speakers for mid sized gigs.
