Add a Rock-Solid Foundation to Your Music
There are times when your sound system needs additional low-frequency output and “punch.” For those situations, Alto Professional proudly offers the TS318 powered subwoofer. This subwoofer extends the bass response of virtually any full-range speaker, relieving that speaker of the difficult task of having to reproduce the low bass frequencies. The result? A system with stunning wide-range response characterized by dramatic, impactful low frequencies and effortless, undistorted mids and highs. The listening audience will hear everything with perfect clarity, from the lowest bass synth tones to the highest percussion bells and everything in between.
    Premium Components
TS318S features a rugged, long-excursion woofer mounted in a solidly-braced ported enclosure, computer-optimized for powerful low-frequency performance. The enclosure itself is made from a dense wood composite. This strong, resonant-free material has virtually perfect acoustic characteristics, which ensures that the subwoofers’ output is always clear and impactful. Conventional enclosures with flex-prone thin metal or plastic walls actually rob the speaker of acoustic impact by dissipating the driver’s energy as cabinet vibration. A sturdy, braced wood composite enclosure doesn’t waste the driver’s motion as cabinet resonance.
    The Perfect Match
Strong, clear output is only half the battle, however, in order for a subwoofer to be part of an ideal speaker system, it has to blend seamlessly with the companion speaker. This is where the Alto Professional’s TS318S truly excels. All TS300-series subwoofers have a choice of six selectable DSP output modes, so the subwoofer’s frequency response and crossover frequency are perfectly-matched to the speaker it’s being used with. Four of these six output options match the subwoofer perfectly with Alto TS2 and TS3 full-range speakers, while the other two output options (Hi-Pass or Bypass mode) ensure a perfect match even with non-Alto full-range speakers.
    Precision-Engineered for Performance
Our computer design techniques feature advancements such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA), which enables us to optimize the speaker’s magnetic structure and maintain a tight voice coil gap for maximum sensitivity. Our voice coils themselves have extremely tight windings that ensure maximum utilization of the input signal and our adhesives exhibit unrivaled consistency and durability under high-temperature conditions for unsurpassed system reliability. TS318S features an onboard 2000watt amplifier (1000 watts continuous) with proprietary limiting circuitry that provides electronic clip, thermal and transducer overload protection, ensuring that the system always sounds clean and clear, no matter how hard it’s pushed.

I recently got a pair of alto ts318s a week ago, And the first wedding I broke them in and by listening to them is just awesome. But on the second wedding I'd turned them up and holy moly dude. On one of the light fixtures I saw the lights dim every time the kick happened on every song I played. To be honest it must of been the power draw that the subs had. Just absolutely mental on sound quality including the matching tops ts310.

Great Vid as always! Super impressed by what Alto is doing. As I've stated before, I have the TS310 and the TS312 and I don't use anything else as of now. From solo shows singing to tracks to DJ'ing, they have fit the bill and then some. Will be looking into this item for future larger DJ shows. I felt while the TS315 was great, I preferred the overall sound of the 10's and 12's in this demo. Thanks for all the great vid's and info!

      Lol.....
      18" does 45hz lowest
      15" 48hz lowest
Both should have around the same xmass as im sure they both will have 2.5" coils.....
Cone displacement will be different by cm squared, but not by much, also volume output will be lower on the 15's by 50watts i guess (manufacturers will "clip" the 15's to better sell their most expensive models (18's)......
Theres little in them sound wise, only in output volume..... in time, replace the driver, and bypass the plate amp for a crown amp, and all will be well....
I would buy the 15's, as these are good cabinets, and will take the power of a JL Audio speaker driver which will get you down to 15hz, and will be 2,000w rms capable over 2 coils (duel 2ohm coils, than wired in series to get 4 ohms)..... and stuff that speaker with loft insulation and sprey glue, which increases the sound quality..... also add another shelf on the bottom to increase and lower port tuning from 52hz to around 34hz...... (REW and a usb mike will prove me right)......
Good luck and enjoy your products.....

Monolith without a doubt...... the pb16's are good, but watch comparison videos...
Svs (to protect their drivers) have a slope starting at 20hz, and then they begin to "roll off", whilst the mono's just let them play....... youthman? i think, did graphs of them, search the hometheatre videos.....
These kinds of speakers are pure junk for HT applications, yes, at between 1 1/4 inch and 1 1/2 MDF these cabbinets are good, but HT theatre uses HDF (high density fiber board, not medium density) and comperable to thickness......
Perhaps, buy a box kit, than buy a 18" JL Audio woofer, then a crown amp, it will be near to the cost of these "cheepo subs" (which the drivers are rated lowest at 45hz before the paper cones rip at the edges) but alot cheeper than a monolith..... and far better than a pb16.....
If you want the sound, but also want to save money, disco subs are not the way forward....... these are for crowds that are mainly drunk or on the pull,.... sound clarity, and how low they go is the least of their concerns..... and the guy who pays the DJ is only concerned that the music was loud enough, and the music played which made his guests happy.... this certainly isnt a CISA Expo.... 😂😂😂....
Its up to you bro.... 🙂👍🏻

Hi, I need some advice. I need to get a sub and I am having a real hard time deciding which to go with between the EV ELX 200 18sp and the Alto TS318. Currently I have 2 Harbinger Vari 2312 tops. I am a beginner DJ so money is a little limited. Not sure if I should go with the Alto or get 1 EV for now and another later on. I do all types of parties and a lot of outdoor parties. What is your opinion?

With the Harbinger Vari 2312 you could start with 1 of the TS318s and add a second one when you get some extra cash saved up for bigger Job. We are going to be getting in one of two new Models from Blastking next week that may be better then TS318s for the Money. stay tuned.

I’ve had all alto even a tx8... 1 series...2 series... and 3 series with two 118 subs I loved them but things went wrong a few times at the worst time never a problem with subs but I didn’t use them as much but one of my 1 series woofers went out on my 15s and my horns went out on the 2 and 3 series so I went with qsc after that last failure but I made tons of money for years with alto so my only issue was periods of unreliability but great sound and I wasn’t happy paying for shipping them for repair on my 3 series.

I've got a pair of ts212 and the horn drivers while they sounded good.. were cheap junk. Overheat and blow. I replaced with jbl horn drivers and have been very pleased. Think I paid $100 a piece for the jbls and the alto replacement were like 35 a piece. Well worth the higher price for reliability. Don't know if the current line of alto has upgraded their horn drivers or not but I do like alto overall. Bass reflex of the 12" boxes are amazing. I picked them over the 15" cabs. Recently I've moved towards Grund Audio. Made in USA completely and have been rock solid!

      Peavey also make good speakers....
As for these Altos, putting in a 35watt horn driver with a small white resistor hoping it will take 100w of music power is utterly ridicules......
Smart move buying the correct driver...... although, i think at 100 you baught the whole horn, you do realise the drivers unscreww from the horns dont you?..... 1 and 3/4 inch thread i believe, unless alto used the ultra cheepo chinease ones that are gluwd togwther, the pitzo horns instead of the dynamic metal drivers in them....
You all need to know how these speakers are built, buy propwr 1 way crossovers for your speakers, and buy some loft insulation and sprey glue the wadding into your speakers to make them sound better...... low cost, high gain, especially with crossovers and your main drivers suffering from "cone breakup".....
How can a 12 or 15 inch driver which is rated from lets say 50hz to 4k do 10,000hz ?????? When fed sound out of their range that they cant do, they try to do that anyway which ovwr time makes them go bad....
Thats why we NEED good quality CROSSOVERS in our speakers......
The powered speakers should have 2 wires to bass and 2 separate wires to horns, if they only have just 2 wires going to bass, than looped up through tiny resister to horn, then buy a crossover......... its less than 20$ and will protect your investments...... also put thicker wire in there.... atleast 2.5 to 4mm thick excluding the plastic coating..... ofc quality is great....
Stay away from copper coated aluminium speaker wires..... they are the worst ever, go find out why (their name is cca wires, and they are really cheep)...... stay away from them.... van damm cables arw best as they are 2.5mm csa (cross sectional area, or diameter of copper) and they are ofc (oxygen free copper, they are made better to carry sound, best are crystal latice aligned ofc, or even silver plated copper, but thats for audiophiles).....

Use bypass.... them 15's will take the sound...... if you want some protection for them, use the shelf mode...... all this alledged "dsp" is, is a bank of capacitors and resistors to weaken the sub to the 10 or 12 inch speakers that some will connect to it so they match.....
Crap 10inch speaker, crap sound from sub....... 15inch speaker, than sub should sound good?.... perhaps bypass the plate amp, and wire the sub direct to a crown amp, maybe a 1500w amp giving 750rms to each sub....... if your only using 1 sub, then buy a 300w crown and use "bridged mode" to get around 650w to the sub.... drill hole in amp of sub, and use a 6.5inch standard jack plug socket, if you wire it right, it will disconnect the amp and allow powere straight to sub driver, dont forget to wire an "inline" crossover to help save the sub.....

You can not use phono to xlr adaptor for a connection, or use your phones headphone socket to the sub as phono or line connection is 2 volts, and these need 4volts from professional mixers or dj consoles.....
Plug output of your sorce straight to your sub, than from sub to your main speakers...... if its still low, you either have a problem with your wire, or you may need to send them back if you paid for them.......

  • @mohammedisaa9952
    @mohammedisaa9952 Рік тому +1

I personally think its a shame that these (and other brands) are labelled as "subwoofers" !!!!
I mean seriously,...... they wont even go lower then 45hz, look at the speakers specs, and im talking about the 18" here.....
A sunwoofer (a proper one) should at that size be able to reach into "infra-sound" ie 10hz and below..... thats what we want, and thats what a "proper" subwoofer can do....
All i can recommend is ripping out the sad drivers and put a JL Audio driver in it, but weather the plate amp will allow such low figures im not too sure? (Alot of manufacturers protect their speaker drivers by limiting how low they can go to protect the coils)....
Hence you would need something like a peavey or a crown amp which will play that low.... (they do, ignore the 20hz to 20khz specs)... ultimately, all these are worth are the cabinets.... 😮‍💨
You can also buy D.I.Y Cabinets if your handy and they glue together........
I really dont see a point in these, unless its a "quick fix" to provide "some" ( and when i use the word "some" i mean minimal) bass (45hz is bad).......
Good luck with your purchase, and listen to the sound demo with "Quality" headphones and listen to how low the "sub" (😂) goes.... especially on the first track and the 15's paired....... im so sorry 😞 ..........

I still have to remove the cover to confirm the ports, so I will be making the video for the TS315S next week and I will check the ports for both the 15s and 18s and note the details in that video for you.

Depends what size these troopers are, just match the numbers.... 10 for 10inch.... 12 for 12inch etc.... use the shelf mode if your troopers have 18inch drivers in them.....

Is Alto brand made or have any relationship with China's manufactories?
I dont understimate China's Market and products, But there is a huge amount of forums , feedbacks and coments about the bad quality of end product when brands like Behringer opt for manufactoring in China for the elements and important material of low quality and durability.
So , is Alto making his stuff in China too?
    Thanks

Most proberly like most manufacturers nowadays......
Hong kong or taiwan are also typical.... manufacturers cant afford your country's pay grade, even at minimum wages...... so they pay chinease equivelent of 40cents per day wages, and they are happy with that, not knowing that, that work is worth 1,000+ × what they are paid.....
"Scales of ecconomy" they call it, we call it ripping someone off who knows no better....... hence poor quality, and some "inteligent" workers not giving a crap about the products they work on....... what would you do for 40c a day wages? Its not even cost effective to turn up for work 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Disappointed with the TS318s, I'm a home DJ so the dance floor is 10x20 and one of these 1000w RMS doesn't do much to the low end. I even added a separate mixer and played around with location (corner of the room) and settings on sub and tops. The sub sounds better from behind than in front.

Cool video…. But sorry I’m a hip hop R&B dj… none of your music tells me nothing about the speaker . It just sounds loud to me…. If u want to sell that speaker… play a hip hop song that has base in it…. Something with a lot of bottom…. Not these loud songs your playing… I bought alto speakers when they first came out and literally burned the whole system out in a 4 hr party because it can’t handle hip hop rap music…..

    • @expertisland

I need to use royalty-free music so in 2019 my options were more limited than today. I now get my music from artlist. Personally, I would like to play more House music David Guetta that is my go-to for Bass but hip-hop R&B is also really good.
As for your speakers, I think it was more of a case of *bringing a knife to a gunfight, you can't blame the knife* . if I'm geared for EDM, Hip-Hop, R&B, I'm always looking at doubling up on Subwoofers of a setup for just a band. for every 2 tops get 4 subwoofers rent them if you have to.
