Okay my fingers do not bend 90° the wrong way so I can’t play the second chord what do I do
I don't know if this is still relevant for you but what I do is that I hold like I usually hold a B chord and slide the pinkie finger up a fret instead of the hammer on, sounds almost the same. To clarify I have my pinkie on the B string, ring finger on the G and middle finger on the D string.
@@stekarenhd6911 thats a good way or just use your middle finger to hold down the D and G strings and then ring finger on the B then you can hammer on with your pinkie just the same,,, his way of doing it is kind of weird imo

Amber Bennett you could just play open chords Dm C G and f. You can pluck them too. It's not the same but it may do

Bel Sky Yes!! The key is to practice transitioning from one chord to the next, slowly. Eventually you’ll be able to pick up the pace!

OK - I am a very new player. When he says "...on 5th fret" or whatever fret, does he literally mean ON the fret? It looks like his fingers are directly on the fret, but when I try to play it, the notes sound muted and I feel like im doing it wrong... send help plz
I always had the same problem! But what works for me is putting my finger on the fret, right next to the fret wire, so it helps me to press the string better! When it sounds muted it's generally because you're not pressing strongly enough. I hope this helps!
You're supposed to put your finger right behind the fret, not directly on it otherwise it will mute it.
