    If you vibrate the mold after pouring the concrete and again after the resin, you'll get rid of a lot of the air bubbles. Use an orbital sander on the sides of the mold right after you pour the concrete, and again after you pour the resin.

    • @DIYCreators
      @DIYCreators  2 роки тому +1

      I did vibrate it a little, but because I could not see I was not sure how much. I figured there would be micro bubbles, not that large one I shown. I know for next time to put in a bit more effort.

    Great little project. I use tyvek tape when I do epoxy work good for me you should try it. You can get it at lowes or home depot

  • @jst1man
    @jst1man Рік тому

    Can I recommend that you mount the bowl upsidedown sealing it to a board. Then put your demolding wax on, concrete, then do your epoxy. The problem you are having with bubbles is that the bowl has a pocket underneath. Epoxy is self leveling as long as the surface is level.
    Now: Having 2 bowls 1 for concrete and 1 for the final is a good idea! Don't ever forget to use demolding wax or spray, that's an amateur move buddy!

    Using so much water in the concrete is what made the outcome so brittle.
    If you have a vibrator/massager/horsecock/etc. you can use a thicker mix, retaining strength and your ability to make more precise and controllable breaks in the future.
    Good luck in the future.
