When Matt was telling his golf club story and he got to the part of seeing everything from above I got CHILLS. He basically had an out of body experience which in his case was caused by a near death experience. It's so insane and scary how close he was to not making it, I don't even wanna think about it. I'm so thankful that he's here with us🙏🏻 This episode was SO FREAKING good. I loved how much Matt spoke in this. Definitely my favourite episode so far and I know I'm gonna be rewatching it.❤❤❤

He possibly had an out of body experience, like when you’re so close to death that your soul essentially leaves ur body (I’m assuming this is when he was in surgery or completely passed out from the blood loss) and his spirit may have experienced and seen all those things. People who woke up from comas have shared similar experiences. Most of the time when they wake up they won’t remember. But Matt seeing all this in a dream years later suggests that he DID spiritually see and experience all of that, and that he subconsciously DOES remember it in terms of his soul, but he doesn’t consciously remember it bc his physical body wasn’t the one experiencing it 🫢 it was his soul
Matt’s story genuinely made my heart sink to my stomach. The thought of him not surviving that is heartbreaking. I can’t imagine how scary and lowkey traumatic that must’ve been; I’m glad matt doesn’t seem too affected about it now, minus the dreams he gets (which sounds terrifying). So thankful he’s here and well 🤍
I’d love to hear more from Matt about his anxiety (if that’s something he’d be comfortable doing). Would it be possible for an episode on it? (growing up with anxiety, first getting diagnosed, telling people, daily life, etc.) I feel like so many people can relate to the struggle that Matt goes through and he’s such a phenomenal role model to your viewers going through a similar experience. This episode was both the best and saddest one. Hearing about Matt’s near death story gave me CHILLS and I honestly can’t believe that it actually happened happened to him and I just can’t help thinking that there was a 2 centimeter gap with him either being de@d,paralyzed or eating from a frikkin tube for the rest of his life.
