In the 80's, I used to pass her maybe once per week while we were both running in a park along Santa Monica Blvd in LA. To my surprise, from about the second time on, she said good morning to me each time she saw me there. Nothing more. Just a very pleasant person.
She's a brit star. It's amazing how down to earh brits are when it comes to fame and even more as they age.

These are some of the big qualities I aspire to have as a woman - a lady, polite, kind, and down to earth.
I met Joan many years ago at a book signing. She was around 70 then. I brought along a movie still from “Land of the Pharaohs,” one of her earliest roles in which she starred in 1955 as the evil Princess Nellifer. I asked if she’d be kind enough to sign my photo & much to my delight she had me come stand next to her while she told me about making the film. She said “I looked pretty good then didn’t I? I was 19 & had trouble keeping my plastic gemstone in my navel!” She then proceeded to reinact her final scene from the film & thanked me for being a fan. She was fun, friendly & gracious. And although she had a lot of makeup on it was easy to see she had not had any work done. She looked real & YES, still very sexy! I was in my 30’s at the time & remember thinking what an effect she must’ve had on men in the fifties considering how incredible she looked even then. Joan is the real deal & she’s certainly made the most of a life well lived.

I’d rather be less known and incredible at my craft than overrated and have to namedrop big celebrities to be relatable to an audience of people.
Joan Collins is an elegant lady and is unfailingly charming and friendly in interviews. She strikes me as being a very warm person.

Ageless and fabulous. Even if she has had surgery, she is still Joan. Hasn't ruined or distorted her looks, has wonderful style, and is still an impeccable and strong lady. I am a lifelong fan.
I'm a fan too. Seen her in passing a couple of times and she said good morning each time. She really is what a star should be. I don't think she has had work, I remember seeing her on a show and she denied it. I'd say that she is scrupulously honest. Some people just age well.
@@michaelmontagu3979 I remember her saying she was told when she was young that to keep her skin youthful, she should never suntan. I started following the same advice in my 20s, and now 40 years on, I can see that advice was good! 😁

What an as$ that Sinatra was. He didn't even bother to try for a minute more to convince her, when he realized he would have to work a little harder, he just abruptly hung up without saying goodbye and went on to the next starlet. What a gentleman! Joan was lucky she avoided his company.
And don't forget that he served Mia Farrow the divorce papers on set.
Heard he wasn't very nice, Ivana Trump said in her book that he stayed in the hotel she managed. (She handled all the celebs,) there was a married couple coming out of the elevator that was so overwhelmed and happy to see him and saying how much they loved him. He then stated "Get rid of the bums" in front of the couple and walked off. The world made him seem like he was some god during his era.
And every complimentary story I've heard about Sinatra could be equally be told as an example of his arrogance and need for admiration.
Frank Sinatra wasn’t a good man. He treated a lot of people terribly. Many other people in the industry discussed him.

I met her at a Dynasty autograph event in 2016. Had my picture taken with her. It's framed in my kitchen to this day.
