Beautiful flowers and you are so fun to watch!! A little trick I learned with dirty lilies is to use a pipe cleaner to dust them and they look fabulous again. 😊

Love love love your arrangements and this video! Somehow ever time I've had a stressful day and I watch one of your videos it uplifts my mood instantly! I adore your passion, your kookiness and your beautiful relationship with the flowers and the plants! I talk to mine just as much as you do!
My library had 16 people on the wait list for Erin’s book (=16 months) so I bought it, and of course it was worth it! Think they could use a second copy... 🤣
I love how proud and happy your flowers & arrangements make you. They are all so gorgeous in their own way. I hope I can grow flowers like that, one day soon.
I’ve now taken to live commenting as I watch. 1) can we have a flower farming friends retreat or something? You, me, Gina, Dr A? I can teach you more about floral design and you can teach me how to destroy Japanese Beatles with my mind. I feel like that’s a fair trade and would be super fun 2) I found myself saying Son of a slug this week and What the Thrip. Thank you for expanding my garden curse repertoire
So damn lush! I have now gotten my friend addicted to your channel too 😅 it's currently snowing here so I still have my flower seedlings in my sunroom! Hurry up spring!
I just found your site, and interested because I love flowers, and have been in boonville, ny. I was born in rome, ny, and now live in Joplin, mo. Love your flowers! Gretchen Elder
Stunning bouquets! And amazing value. Love watching you put them together, watching you make choices. I’m going ‘pick that dalia/lisianthus/glad’ and then you pick it, too fun! 🤣💕
Omg I thought I was I only one that calls out what flower nicole should pick while watching the video ... if u could only hear me ... I love it too when u pick the one I was cheering for!! 😊
I too have Jerusalem artichoke I got from a friend I have oriental lillys too but some kinda bugs sucked the life out of it even though I treated it with neem oil. Yours are gorgeous. I just picked also some of my sun flowers and placed them in a vase. Again you are so funny thank you for making me laugh.
Loving your channel! I'm planning on starting flower farming next season. I prefer the stamans on lillies because they add character. I'll leave it up to the clients.
I love those bouquets (that spelling not though). I also love pollen on my flowers and on the table afterwards. This makes all of it so natural and homey. And I also love the lisianthus. Must learn how to grow lisianthus, thought. 💐
Oh my God, you kill me!! If I made a video it would be just like this...stream of consciousness kicking in and so quirky and fun!!! We could so be bff’s!!! The bouquets turned out beautifully 😂♥️
I grew amaranth in my greenhouse last year...not knowing it self-seeds... what a mess this year, it was everywhere.. it is very pretty though. for the lilies and the pollen I just spray it with a water mister. Thanks for all your hard work with these awesome videos I am always learning so much from you... I am thinking I call all my peeps flower friends now.... sorry it just happened!!!
I came back to this video because I am practicing making bouquets and I wanted to look at your videos because I am struggling with arranging the flowers without damaging them. like the zinnia's- I feel like I am crinkling them all up, And a lot of the petals (florets?) are falling off my snapdragons, if I'm not extremely careful!?! I was trying to see if I could find some tips! & I'm glad I did because you reminded me I have those protection baggie things! & I need them! 👏😁
I love those pale yellow zinnia. All of mine this past season (my first year growing them) were super bright, bold colors. Next year I want to grow some colors a bit easier to work with.
Never knew there was a rose lily and I only just got my bulb order lol The hybrid lilliums, lily of the valley, day lillies, dahlia ball mix and gladioli will have to do for now 😊 two days till spring in Australia 🇦🇺👍
Australian Seed Collection is where I've got some seeds and supplies. I can't really recommend from experience as I'm only just planting but seeds have had a great germination rate so far 😊
What does wrapping the flower heads do in the field? Prevent the bees from pollinating them? Also those look light enough that they won’t crush the buds blooming? Is this correct
Those particular ones had gone to seed and were shedding. I normally do not. I just didn't want stuff falling off the bouquet for my customers but I still wanted them to have the amazing smell!
I love the orange white lime 💐 I think it was the 3rd or 4th arrangement...anyways best if you have a thrash or bin for your cuttings so you just don't throw it on your floor sorry just wondering 🤷 😐 😅 less clean up later 😉 😏 😜
I usually have a large basket for the clippings! I have a huge compost pile right off the porch that we brush the pile into. There is ALWAYS a mess on the porch LOL
I sell mine in bunches, so they don't have vases or jars. I temporarily store them in anything I can find-- five gallon buckets, old pots, floral buckets. My bouquets are usually $15-20.
@@FlowerHillFarm cool, are they mesh? Where do you source them? Also, I wondered about Jake the wholesale guy you talk about, is he just in your area? I’m in thePacific NW..TY! I love your videos.
The sunflowers I started two weeks ago in trays are now 6" and LANKY :( I'm planting them out in the garden, but how do I prevent them from getting lanky? They were grown on my porch with plenty of sunlight. I can't plant directly into garden since I've had bad luck with chipmunks eating the seeds before they even sprout. We call Jerusalem Artichokes - sunchokes.... edible.
Prevents bug damage. We grow organically. People also use the bag to prevent cross pollination if they plan on saving seeds from the plant. No dumb questions! 💐

Organza bags! Prevents bug damage
What does wrapping the flower heads do in the field? Prevent the bees from pollinating them? Also those look light enough that they won’t crush the buds blooming? Is this correct
The organza bags help prevent bug damage. They do not damage the blooms!
It can also be used to prevent cross pollination if you're saving seeds.

Those particular ones had gone to seed and were shedding. I normally do not. I just didn't want stuff falling off the bouquet for my customers but I still wanted them to have the amazing smell!
Do the people that purchase flowers from you return their vases or do you purchase large amounts of vases every so often?
I do not typically sell the vases. The members just take the flowers. I do have vase options but they are extra!

Hi Renee- not a bad idea!
32:35 lol
What so you use the blossom bags for? Curious question all the way from Sweden ☺️
The organza bags are used to help prevent bug damage- like chewing beetles and stuff.
love your videos! the bugs are for keeping the flowers protected from the insects?
Yes they are!
I missed registration for Dave dowling’s course for this year - is there anywhere else I could find this type of info until I can get in next year?
Hello, do you plant any types of roses ? ty.
I have a couple David Austin Rose bushes.
Do you remember where you got that shirt? I love it!
Why do you place organza baggies on the flower heads?
Prevents bug damage!
@@FlowerHillFarm ahhh- I kill plants and haven’t tried flowers so had no clue- gotta keep them pretty but how do the bees get to them?
What books can I buy to learn how to raise and sell flowers? I could use extra money.

Hello madam ❤️ good morning
Good morning
Are all chickens as “soft-sounding” as yours? I love hearing them in the background 🐓
Not all, but mine usually are. They are so sweet 💐
What kind of pots do you put your cut flowers in? How much do you sell them for?
I sell mine in bunches, so they don't have vases or jars. I temporarily store them in anything I can find-- five gallon buckets, old pots, floral buckets. My bouquets are usually $15-20.
Can clean the lily with a pipe cleaner
@FlowerHillFarm what’s the story with the bags on the dahlias?

You can grow a lot of flowers in a very small space!
