@@thierrywilliaume8490 You're wrong. Bruce Woolley is an ex-Buggle, he left the Buggles in 1979 to form the Camera Club with Thomas Dolby and the late Matthew Seligman. The Camera Club disbanded around 1983, the year after Dolby released 'She Blinded Me With Science' at the start of his solo career. Woolley and Seligman then formed the Radio Science Orchestra in the late 80's/early 90's. After Seligman's death from COVID in April 2020, they released a track titled 'The Brightest Star', a jazz-fusion piece recorded before his passing around 2017-2019, and was released in tribute to him. The album 'Memories Of The Future' was then released, which featured the track as well as many other tracks that Seligman recorded before his passing. Hopefully that answered your dispute.
I went to see Lena Lovich back in early 1980. Her hit, "Lucky Number" was a new wave fave. But when I saw the back-up band, I was blown away. Bruce Woolley and the Camera Club were amazing! (didn't find out until much later that they had a young Thomas Dolby on keys) Lena was good, but I went out and bought the back-up band's album. I still think the brilliance of this track, plus Flying Man, Johnny, No Surrender, and Dancing With The Sporting Boys ... well they're still on playlists of mine to this day. Thanks for uploading this. Still sounds just as fresh as it did back in the day!
A stunner of a track. The whole album is as good. I'm old enough to remember this and have the vinyl. It was as inspiring as No Thugs In Our House from XTC
That's because it technically IS the Buggles. Bruce is an ex-Buggle. He played with them from 1977-1979, and formed the Camera Club with Thomas Dolby, Matthew Seligman, and ex-Buggles guitarist Dave Birch. Seligman left the group in late 1979 to join the Soft Boys, and was replaced by Re-Flex bassist Nigel Ross-Scott.
Only heard of these guys when some in the comments on buggles video (video killed …) that bruce wolley co wrote it and did his own version of it ..these guys are good 👍

45 years is a long time to be misunderstood...
“ 40 years is a long time to be misunderstood “ English Garden sounds as good 40 years later .
There is no one who does this music so well in 2019...
Bruce Woolley is in fact Trevor Horn. Do you REALLY think he's been misunderstood for 40 years???

One of my favorite new wave albums! A true masterpiece, IMO! The more you listen - the better the song, the performances, and production sound!
Used to play this a lot as a FM radio dj. Remember FM radio when it was really worth listening to?
OUTSTANDING and way beyond its time !!! 40 years ? could have been recorded today , some should give credit and more to it !
Great music. Timeless! Loved this when it came out; still love it!!!
Great song! I have this album on vinyl.

Similar to Yes a bit - the chord progressions..
influences from big bands, probably...Which YES song are you referring to on chord progression?
