This is my 2nd Keurig coffee maker of this model. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first worked fine for more than 2 years, and I could still get a decent cup of coffee out of it if I fiddled with it when I decided to replace it. The problem I had with my first unit was this: When attempting to brew a cup of coffee, the unit would either keep brewing until the coffee was undrinkable or it would not run long enough and the coffee produced was way too strong. I cleaned the unit as best I could but it did not help. So in the end it was just too much trouble to get a good cup of coffee out of it, so I decided to replace it with a new one, which has been working great since I unpacked it.

Bought my refurbished Magnifica from you 5 years ago, no issue until this week when the infuser got stuck in the down position. Will need new outings, but it is still better than another machine. Thank you!

I discovered my infuser 2 years and 6 months after using my machine every day. I actually dreamt my coffee machine was going to make me really sick with mold last night. So unlike most dreams I remembered this one and set about looking into what I've been missing on previous cleans.
Yeah it was rank in there and no doubt it would have made me sick. Thank you to my gaurdian angel for looking out for me.
Some how it doesn't need a lube yet but I'll be watching out for this when I clean the infuser on the 1st of every single month.
    Enjoy your coffee 🙏

Thanks for that! After 5 years of usage and more than 7000 coffees, I hadn't opened the infuser. Let's just say that it didn't "Just come out", but I did manage with a decent pull and screwdriver. Once everything was removed I used mineral oil as I didn't have any food lubricant. Popped back into the unit after a good self-service and the machine works like new. My Perfecta has been working non-stop and now at 7015 coffees, still works great.

Hey guys, your advice on cleaning the brew unit came just handy for my 14-year-old ESAM 4200. I bought it in 2009 and never(!) disassembled. I don't know exactly how many coffee cups it made without cleaning, but it seems like 3 cups/day * 330 days/year * 14 years = 13860. God bless DeLonghi' engineers :) And of course thank you very much for this useful advice

Another thank you! I did have to gently pry off that first clip with a screwdriver and it took some noodling to get the second part out, but otherwise it was easy :) Putting it back together, not so much. Non-pro tip: push the piston in until you hear/feel a click. It felt solid in there to me, but it wasn't. Then pull the piston out just a bit before putting on the clip, or it won't snap in. The piston fell out when the machine was turning on and got stuck. I thought I'd broken the machine!!! Finally got it figured out and was so happy to get this particular cup of coffee. :)

The key points are that the clip rests just above the three black tabs on the tube (over each side and one in middle) and that the gripping parts of the clip are towards the bottom

Thanks. One note: Sometimes the black inner sleeve stays stuck when you pull the bottom out after removing the clip. If that happens, put the piece back in, thenuse a flathead screwdriver to get under the 3 black prongs to wiggle it loose, then pull again.

Hi so I watched your instructions video, with a delonghi ecam 23.460, little bit different brewing unit than this one...any my problem is, that the dumping mechanism ( the plastic arm with a spring under it ) on the brewing unit, does not fit closely, so there is a gap, and when the brewing finishes, the coffe pallet does not go down the waste basket so smoothly, so everytime the filter on the brewing unit might still have some coffe residue. Do you think replacing the spring for the dumping arm will help ? Please help thank you.

I've noticed that the entry level Delongie bean to cup machines has the same brew unit as models at twice the price. The difference is more in the user interface and additional automation of milk foaming. Is there anything about the more expensive machines that would help them brew better espresso?

Hi I have a Caffe Corso and clean my brew unit every week or so by soaking for 15 minutes and pushing back and forth. After watching this however I decided to take it apart and fully clean it but I ran into a problem as when the clip was removed the slider did not come out, it would move the piston up and down as if the clip was still there. Is there a reason that it could get stuck and is there a remedy?

Can you tell me where to get these O-rings and possible a new infuser? I may need at least the O-rings. I have searched the web with my Model Number of my TrewBrew CAM51025MB and nothing comes up for either. The O-rings I find are all general or go for different De Longhis and no infuser I have found looks like mine ( the one you guys are working on) I have my unit almost a year and it is definitely having problems. I hoping a good cleaning will help but may need more than that. BTW nothing on the maintenance part in the manual states about doing this to the infuser. Very disappointing and I am hoping it is not totally destroyed. I thank you in advance.

      Hello,
Unfortunately I'm not positive whether or not the brew unit in the model you have matches what is shown in the video, as the video uses an older brew unit. I believe that the newer DeLonghis have some updates to the design. Unfortunately your best bet is to reach our to DeLonghi directly as they are the most likely to have the parts you need and can give you the best advice.

This video is a thorough teardown and cleanup, this might be something you do every year (or even less frequently), or in the case the brew unit has been neglected and become jammed.
Delonghi's official infuser cleaning videos just involve soaking it in water (no soap/detergent!!!) for 5 minutes followed by rinsing it under running water. This is what I imagine they recommend doing every month.
