There aren’t any instruments. The Guitar is Geoff and they added an effect in post production to make it sound even more like a real guitar 😅

That was just them with a few vocal effects (it is a "Cyberpunk" version - so set in the future). I loved it from the minute I heard it! You are right - they did it justice and sprinkled their magic at the same time 😉. They opened up the song to a new audience 🌹🕊
No instruments in this arrangement, all vocal. Voiceplay has used violin (VioLayne) on occasion but it's shown in the video.
gar - jewl' -la Anthony is in the center, Geoff at your left hand, Cesar (baritone/tenor), Eli (bald tenor/rock god), Layne (beatboxer).
Cool reaction ! It was interesting to listen to the two versions side by side ! Though I am from the right generation, I don't remember having heard Soundgarden's version back then. I listened to it for the first time when I discovered it would be the next voiceplay cover. I suppose it's OK, but it didn't blow my mind - not the way Voiceplay's version did. This arrangement is pure musical genius to me, absolutely stunning ! :)
RIP Chris Cornell; he was an amazing artist. I feel like he’d be happy with the cover
Never knew what you would see in an MTV video back in the 80s and 90s. I like VoicePlays video better.
I hadn't heard this song before Voice Play did it so I, too, went to hear the original before listening to Voice Play. And, much like the Pentatonix version of "Gold", I definitely prefer the Voice Play version! Thanx for the reaction! 💖
Voiceplay is wonderful! The original sounded okay, but the video was way too weird for me. I can have a preference - Voiceplay all the way!

I don’t think there’s anything deep or symbolic to the orig video. It’s just creepy. The song was supposedly not wrote about anything; he was just making up phrases and matching rhymes. So if the lyrics meant nothing when they were first wrote and sung, I don’t think the vid could mean anything.

Voice Plays cover is better than the original.
This is the first time I heard Soundgarden's version. And the umpteenth time listening to Voiceplay's version.
And I have to say I like Voiceplay's a lot more.
Never was a fan of Soundgarden anyway.

Nope no instruments!! Just effects on the vocals!! Voiceplay would show you if they used an instrument on non vocal sound. Amazing!!
