  • Here is a full Rogue Assassins build guide for in Baldur's Gate 3! While this isn't the strongest class it still has some interesting techniques to make it fun! You really have to play this class like an assassin. It works really well with the dark urge cloak to give you invisibility so you can disengage and trigger combat again. You have to be able to take them out immediately but it is still pretty great in some areas.
I am working on a rogue assassins with GOO warlock, and the fighter but those will come out at a later date after I test them out!

underrated class, what you said about leaving combat and retriggering the surprised is an awesome idea. your build guides are the best on youtube

they need to add more gear for wizards and rogue and not copy and paste armor but ofc they wont :( it was a problem in dos2 i dont like the wizard gear at all

Yeah sorcerer / warlock get some great options but the wizard and rogue don’t have many. This is one of the few rogue armor and it only adds +3 to stealth which isn’t fantastic by any means. This class can abuse disengage and surprise targets over and over again which is cool but I agree there should have been more rogue specific gear!

I love your videos but was wondering if you can show some combat with the builds?

I always struggle with including combat since you only get 1 turn per character. I tried including combat in one of my build guides before and the view retention was terrible for the video sadly. But I’ll try and find a way that works! I wish there were dummies at camp that wouldn’t aggro scratch haha

@@JasonDunnaI think I’m having that issue as well as the combat makes the video way longer. I was thinking off cutting it somehow where certain abilities are showcased instead of an actual fight with multiple rounds of combat. With the save file I use, there’s tooooons of companions that aggro cuz I test vs Aylin because when she dies she comes back to life and isn’t mad.

@@Quantum_Bluntz Thanks for chiming in! You see it from the creator side. It’s a tricky issue because you can only show one action at a time and then your three other companions go, and then the enemy. It’s not the easiest thing to implement without spending another 30 minutes filming the particular build doing a couple actions.
I do plan on doing combat guides at some point for these builds but it’s a matter of time for me 😅 I work two jobs and gave up my social life for content creation so I try my best! I did notice that the video I added combat too had half the retention that a normal guide would have so I assumed people didn’t want to see it combined

@@JasonDunnai never thought about combat guides lol that’s pretty genius. But yeah, I’ve noticed if it goes over 30min it’s too long or something. And 60 min is even worse. But when you have to explain each level, feats, abilities, suggested gear, etc that alone is a lot. Adding in combat I think would be cool for showing off 4 builds simultaneously so you can take advantage of showing each turn. Maybe like ideal team compositions? That way one video does 4 things.

@@Quantum_Bluntz That is a great idea man thanks so much for sharing that! It really is about the party composition. Lately I have been running a Sorcerer, Cleric, Bard and Spore Druid. All with dips for heavy armor/utility.
Turn 1: Create water + chain lightning and crowd control.
      Turn 2:Finish combat encounter
