Hi. As I recently streamed the Churchill/Flying Fortress run on Off The Coast CHIMPS, I can confirm that these tips are good, and I can further add that Transforming Tonic is a sighted DDT buster with a moderate cost for as much considering it costs $8775 base before crosspath with AMD adding in only $600 base for something that can be stockpiled onto something that isn't attacking during Round 95's first half. The transformation lasts 20 seconds, exactly the same as the spawn duration for Round 95's DDTs, so activating it not too far into active engagement with them should catch all of them, and the rapid fire can especially capitalize upon Embrittlement involvement. Just be mindful of the order of ops when dealing with the DDTs; in Churchill's case, Churchill's activations should be the first to be used to avoid wasting the MOAB Barrage missiles or even the AP Shells. Transforming Tonic also conveniently has Unstable Concoction along the way, which could be used a bit before transforming; it's not particularly great against the DDTs, but it IS something I used to survive Round 98 long enough to finally get the Flying Fortress. Transforming Tonic has a long cooldown, but it IS a solid reliable option. Oh, and I am guessing your tips go like this for summary for people who are confused: -Understand how to fight DDTs -Have support towers such as MOAB Glue, Maim MOAB, Embrittlement, etc. -Consider DDT busters such as Prince of Darkness, Pre-Emptive Strike, Ground Zero, etc. -Workarounds from using MIB and/or Acidic Mixture Dip
Oh yeah, it's worth adding onto the MIB skip point: if your towers generally have Normal/Acid, Fire/Plasma, and/or Cold/Glacier+Lead Damage Types, MIB is unlikely to be worth the price expenditure unless you want Call to Arms/Homeland Defense. Spectre being none of those doesn't change that enough.
Churchill can solo ddts if you have MIB, without MIB, it wouldn’t be able to deal with them. Churchill can handle black, camo and leads, but not all of them combined.
Round 126 is devastating if you don’t have atleast a decent way to get kill ddts. Round 126 is just a ddt rush. Also don’t forget about rounds 95, 106, 126
My first run in with DDTs I just used the Pirate Lord's Hook gave up on Round 93 since I could not hook 6 of them at the time as this was around Update 19.0 (Also I would had never got past Round 95 with that method)
out of curiosity are you recording the gameplay, editing it together with commentary in mind then doing it without a script? not that it's good or bad im just curious
I don’t use a script, I have footage that I record and put it together with what points I’m going to say and then I record the voice. If there is conflict I will slow, speed up, or add more filler footage
I posted a correction on this. But I’m actually surprised. I just assumed that lord of the abyss slowed DDT’s even though I’ve already done several challenges with it.
@@Chom_Chom You should also know that T5 Lord of the Abyss is currently bugged to have a weaker slow than T4 Abyssal Warrior. In fact, the T5's inferior slow overrides the T4's slow. Also, lower tier top path mermonkeys inferior pierce buffs override higher tier top path mermonkey pierce buffs.
It has a maximum capacity in the circle so if there are lots of DDTs, it will trap like 6 or so which means the rest will just fly on by. It's good, but not as good as other support towers like ice or glue
Small correction. Abyssal warrior doesn’t slow down ddts.

Im pretty sure that everyone already has ceram defense
I read that as "scream defense"
I remember first seeing DDTs in BMC.
Trauma.
glue strike and glue storm are also really good for ddts because they remove the lead property and give +2 damage
i could've sworn they also de-blacked them at some point in the past but sandbox says otherwise

Baiscally:
Stalling support
DPS buffs/support
Debuffs to shred immunities
Plasma/fire/normal damage types.
All 3 tier 5 paths are great vs DDTs for the spike factory. Just need 2 in the top path to pop lead. So 5-2-0; 2-5-0; and 2-0-5.
Icicle Impale’s sole purpose is to freeze and destroy ddts
Your my favorite btd6 youtuber, you helped and inspired me to play with my own strategy
I also think that 0-2-3 heli deserves a mention for being a cheapish ddt staller
Always wanted something I can show people when they ask me how to kill DDTs. Thank you for making a high-effort video that also has based opinions.
I know it's not the best option, but whenever I go Apache Prime, I always try to throw in Icicle Impale to take down DDTs.
