  • There’s a BIG difference between “hitting a better ball” and winning more.

    The way most people try to “win more matches” is… hit loads and loads of balls, improve their technique over the course of a few months or years… and win more by “being better” than their opponent.
    BUT… there’s Two major problems with this: A. It takes a LONG time. B. You’ll probably still lose to the people you’ve always lost to
    Number 2..
    The elephant in the room is PRESSURE. Whatever technique or mental toughness you've improved, tends to leave ya in the dust when you need it most.
    In a tight, 50/50 match… the sets (and therefore the match) is decided by a few points.
    These are “big” points. And they’re chock full of pressure.
    This is the game within the game.
    And almost nobody trains it.
    The ones that do, like Djokovic… hoist trophies and get the glory.
    While the ones that don’t, walk home the “unlucky loser”.
