This is adorable! I get the feeling it’s a crocodile and a bird because in real life plover birds will eat food out of crocodiles teeth and the crocodiles get clean teeth so they don’t hurt the birds (mutualistic symbiosis). Even if that’s just a coincidence, it’s really cool!
Edit, read description, she’s a caiman, not a crocodile, but I think I still have a good theory.
