Ola, honored to see it get fed some chugs😎. The EE EE EE EE got me, thanks for checking out my love letter to high gain. It's true name is the Eleven Eleven (II II II II) & I engineered it to be the experience I became obsessed with using my stereo dual high gain towers live; cascading harmonic collision. To those watching I say one thing: demo it in your room & it will hit you like a sledge ⚒👍
Sorry but I disagree entirely. The demo is only good if you don’t have the money to buy it right now. If you do then just buy it. If you have the money and do the demo you will just end up buying anyway. It’s just the best high gain plug-in period. If you play plug ins and high gain then JUST BUY IT.
So there was a few things really missed that make this plugin shine. The first being that if you lower the bias, you can raise the Amplitude which makes the thing rip. That's why the IR didn't sound very loud, got up that amplitude. The other major feature is the Sag, that will help with the attack from the guitar giving it a tighter or looser feel. The gate is also pretty solid for allowing some more grit or a tighter punch which gives it a lot of versatility for recording anything from scraggly beard black metal to Djent. @TaylorDanley did a great in depth video on this plugin that helped me figure out somethings I didn't even realize about it.
@gurahl Thanks for the comment, indeed it is a deep plugin, engineered to be a tone tweaker. The point of Ola's video it seems was to just give a "on first open" impression. There are hundreds of riff and mix ready presets.
The furthest I have down tuned is C#1 and this is the only amp sim to handle it without sounding like its sitting inside a isolation box. I'm glad I didn't spend more on neural dsp plugins.
Such a massive sound and the "feel" when playing is so good! Bought my first seven string a year ago, and it wasn't spectacular sounding, until I found this plugin. Now I know what chug-damage a downtuned guitar with a great amp sim can do! 🤘🤘
Also, match this with the OA "More is More" plugin and you're all set. I have very little knowledge about compressors, limiters and such. For me, More is More is perfect because it takes out all the complex guesswork. It's all in there, turn some dials and listen, the song now has the secret sauce. Love it!
Okay, i have been looking at this plugin for a few days, and read alot of good stuff about it, i would often see OTTO himself answer to peoples comments like : Try it in your room and you wil see ;) So i became kind of intrested.. .is it really that good that he is saying? so i tried the trial...... but ended up instantly buying it after i tried it out! The amount of smack in this is insane! its a damn powerhouse! Iv been trying out different approaches on it with different IRs and blending cabs all day, and i seem to find another sick sound every time haha. the OTTO delivers such clarity in the tones!
Moments Ola's face melts from heavy II II II II presets: 2:53 "OK that's really heavy" 3:10 "that's actually cool" 3:37 "that's actually nasty" 3:47 4:06 4:13 4:47 7:07 8:52 "it's actually very snarly" 9:17 "damn man" 9:59 "that's also very cool" 10:46 "I do think it sounds good it sounds very different" On a more serious note, I rarely check any manuals from ampsim, but the back of the amp buttons opens a whole world of tones if you read the manual. Becaus a lot of the knobs are linked to other knobs internally. Only if somehow the presets don't cover your heavy thick needs.😅
This is my go to plugin! I just wish it had some more basic features like a tunnah and maybe some effects. Maybe the next update! THANKS for making this video Ola! 💪💪
This has to be some weird form of Pavlov conditioning : Ola goes "EE EE EE EE" and i felt the need to listen to Meshuggah's Future Breed Machine. Damn good sounding plugin btw
Yesss. Ive been waiting for this review. Awesome stuff. This is a great plugin. Im a big fan of otto audio software. It is so fricken heavy. And the tones you get out of it are brutal. Ola can u post some presets please. The ola range.
Right out of the bat, it doesn't sound like your typical modern amp plugin... which is a good thing for me! Too many of those seem to boost the living shit out of the higher frequencies on the incoming signal, which gets old very quickly. The only thing missing is a parametric EQ for further tone customization, though you could probably use your DAW's default EQ plugin for that purpose... So essentially, we're golden! The stereo output option sounds phasey through monophonic systems (e.g. phones with only one speaker) - not good for demo purposes. Could be easily omitted, since there are pseudo-stereo plugins out there that do a much better job. The IIOUD preset kinda sounded like the guitar tone on an early Novembers Doom EP (Her Tears Drop) :D
This amp sim is ridiculously heavy! If you're on the fence, just try the demo version. I think I bought the full version after playing it for an hour straight. The only improvement I would like to see, is the ability to upload your own IRs, and/or being able to select 2 different cabs, instead of 2 of the same. But that's it. This is a killer amp sim.
really great sounding pluggin, wow. The chugs have a real snarl to them. FYI: the pluggin is half off right now if you use the code NIK50, which brings it down to $55 which is a pretty solid deal for what you get.
Totally awesome demo man. I just got a new six string and gotta jam through the 1111 with it. Or the Eeee as you say :) I spat out coffee laughing. Keep it brutal
The low end thing is to emulate the real life sound waves a 12in speaker throws to your chest (monitors have really small speakers and most of us don't have the privilege to own a bunch of 4x12 + Fortins) guitar players record only a small amount of time, so no need to have a pre-polished sound that sacrifices the joy of playing solo. Should be the other way around like this plugin. This is just the Nolly's IR loader ''room mic'' effect pushed to the next level.
Nice! I've been using Eleven Eleven a lot lately. It's got a certain tube-like fullness that sounds really good. I pretty much use this and Neural plugins exclusively nowadays
Ola, I use TS on plugins now, It sounds great with this plugin too, which I am on Trial mode now. I wish you put TS before interface, amazing results. Well, I like to use the plugin on mono though.
i love this thing... the nueral stuff is good but this feels like having an amp in my room. also takes my front of amps pedals good. running a plumes or fortin 33 works great.
Ola! Please Respong! Will you make a video about how to make a great tone? I have issues with it, and just dont sounds good, what i am making. #pleaserespong
i'm not really into vst plugins (i still prefer the analog amps) but to be honnest this one to me sounds really good (in therms of tone) for record/mix, definitively have to try this one ;)
OK Sir Englund, ... great demo and ... as you said it had it's own sound ... and I normally use setup with amp, cab, mic and the like ... this time it's the first time I finally bought an amp plugin. Thank you very much. But ehhh ... would love to do a special with you on my channel ... which means ... I will do little bit of golf with you and we have a chat. Anyway, ... thanks again Ola. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
I love that amp plugin it sounds great but unique as well. I use it for some of my stuff normally either that or the bogren 1 knobs is what I use for my recordings/songs
Hi Ola, big fan here. Just a tiny pronunciation note... Impedance is normally pronounced im-pee-dnce. The way you said it sounded more like impotence 😂
KT88 tubes sound pleasantly disgusting! Those tubes are the main reason I have bought the Neural DSP Omega Granophyre. Think it's time to add this AMP sim to my arsenal as well.
From what I understand the "mono/stereo" is a unique feature meant to emulate a "final mixed product". If that's the case, then I could understand why he would want it to be front and center, to get as much exposure as possible.
@@OTTOAUDIO don't get me wrong. I fucking LOVE the feature. It was just in a few other places first. But i do love the 11 11. Don't think i'm hateing lol.
@@crowdkillproductions. Haha no worries, I engineered my version of it in fall of 2020, ndsp didn't come out with theirs until a year + later, December 2021 with Petrucci. Wait until you play it in your room 🤌🧂
That switch you flipped for the headphones gives it a little more clean sound. I like that plugin.
@Ola Englund There is a free overdrive by Otto Audio called the Otto8 which you can use as a boost, I have this Amp sim and it's BRUUUUUTAL!
The Punish switch on the back is essentially a tube screamer
2:52 had me screaming with how good that was, WHAT IN THE WORLD, MAN!?
hehe 😎
This is probably the most brutal sounding plugin I've heard. Until the next thing comes along... Also, Ola... That guy can make anything sound brutal.
Lololol Ola is so funny "ee ee ee ee" 😂😂. Just barely scratched the surface of what this plugin can do.
Nice, but we need a revival of Will it CHUUUUG?!?! 🤘🎸🤘
REVIVAL! Pls
The "punish" switch on the back is meant to act like a boost pedal. However, OTTO does offer a free Tube Screamer type boost for free.
Very very nice to the ears especially with headphones on
