Improving Planning and Budgeting at the Subnational Level to Advance Universal Health Coverage

In this webinar, representatives from Tanzania and Timor-Leste shared insights on their efforts to support public financial management (PFM) at the subnational level. Panelists from WHO and LHSS discussed strategies for enhancing partnerships between national and subnational actors, aligning PFM systems with health sector needs, strengthening subnational capacity, and actively engaging local stakeholders. This session highlighted promising practices for building PFM systems that better serve communities’ health needs and improve resource efficiency.
