The Local Health System Sustainability Project (LHSS) helps low- and middle-income countries achieve sustainable, self-financed health systems that offer quality health care for all. Funded by the United States Agency for International Development, the project works with partner countries and local stakeholders to reduce financial barriers to care and treatment, ensure equitable access to essential health services, and improve the quality of health services.
Resilience on International Migrants’ Day: Tony Lozada’s Inspiring Story
To commemorate International Migrant Day, we share the story of Antonio Lozada, who crossed the Colombian-Venezuelan border in 2017. Today, he owns and directs "Todo es Noticia,” a digital media outlet with over 172,000 followers. Despite facing numerous obstacles, this Venezuelan migrant journalist has not only transformed his own life but also contributed to the integration of the migrant population in Colombia through his journalism.
