Kenny was so excited! He successfully looked HF up on the Internet! And I am relatively certain that he actually adopted Adam Rupp after this set. He just wrapped his arm around Adam and wouldn't let go.
What an honor and blessing that Home Free has had the chance to sing with the great legend Kenny Rogers at the request of Kenny Rogers himself. While maintaining the respect and appreciation of Kenny Rogers, this sounded wonderful again. The voices fit together so well. With the great vocal percussion added, this was perfect. What a memory !! R.I.P. Kenny Rogers🙏
Kenny Rogers was one the precious few country artists I cared for before Home Free won me over on the Sing Off, It's just wonderful that they got to sing with him -- a legendary collaboration. Thanks Teri and DJ for putting this one on tonight.
The moment they start with the fingers snapping, my whole body wants to start shaking and dancing. Talk about mutual bro love. They perform so well & always allow their guests to shine! Thanks for the reaction/review.
This was such a great reaction. I've never been a huge Country Music fan, but my mom used to always play Kenny Rogers, and he was the big exception. Then I fell for Keith Urban, and Home Free made me more of a fan of well. Kenny IS a legend. This was one of the best groupings ever.
Kenny Rogers and the First Edition: Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town; Lady; duet with Dolly Islands in the Stream and You can't make Old Friends and many more recordings.
I stumbled upon this video just about a year ago. I had never heard of Home Free until then. I watched this video about a dozen time to convince myself they did not use any instruments. I absolutely love this group!
Great reaction, as always! To hear Kenny in his absolute prime, please react to his live version of "Lady". He's in an arena, so the audience is literally surrounding him. He did that concert about ten days after the song was released. He will absolutely blow you away!! Another fantastic song of his is "The Greatest" - you'll love it! And of course, keep the Home Free reactions coming, too! Thanks for always being such a treat to watch!
Not too many Christmas songs you can groove to but was on my feet the whole song at my second Christmas concert in December. Not to mention front row next to the sub woofers 👀👀
Pause as much as you want to. I'm here for your reaction to music. If I wanted to hear the song in its entirety, I'd go to the original song. Your reactions to the songs are what I came for. It's fun to see and experience your joy with you to the songs that I love. I can't go back and hear them for the first time, and it let's me experience some of that initial joy all over. You be you and don't apologize for it. XXXX
Thanks for another great reaction. Not only was Kenny a great singer he was also a great actor. He acted his is song of the Gambler as well as in his song of Coward Of The County and among others shows he did.
I love this collaboration - the singing, harmonies & beatboxing are all terrific. Kenny Rogers still sounded so good! Chris Rupp has a segment on his channel talking about the making of this video. After his passing, HF did a video of "The Gambler" as an homage to him. This would be a wonderful song for a Sunday School since all the verses are Biblical references.
There's a fan video where Tim tells the story of them ALMOST being on the tonight show with Kenny. Kenny invited them to join him but the weather prevented them from making it in time. But they went anyway & got to hang out & spend time with Kenny backstage. It's so sweet. They had an amazing relationship with Kenny. ❤❤
I don't know if anyone else has commented this but Chris Rupp has done a reaction to this video explaining what was happening that we couldn't see. Amazing reaction as always. Oh and Kenny has an amazing song that is hardly ever reacted to called "The Greatest" you should check it out (official video version) even if you don't react to it on here.
If you go searching for Kenny Rogers and the First Edition, back in the late 60s/early 70s, you will hear that same gravelly voice from Kenny Rogers when he was a much younger man. "Just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in" is the song you want to start with. Don't miss out on this one... Kenny Rogers started out as a Rocker.
This one is definitely a bop! I love it and I, too, am so glad Kenny asked them to record this with him! I heard him say in another older video that he was originally going to ask Pentatonix to record this or another song with him, but then he found out about Home Free, as he said here in the video. Loved your reaction, DJ! I could see how much you enjoyed this one!
Gosh this is a lovely song, not one I know (original or otherwise) but it reminds me very strongly of "Green Grow the Rushes O" which is apparently the Old English equivalent of this song. My family and I used to sing it (badly) on car journeys with my Grandparents so this whole song felt nostalgic even though I'd never heard it before. This was a total vibe and I adored it. Kenny Rogers was one of the greatest growly singers of his generation and could do things with his voice that very few have or will ever be able to mimic. He was also one of the nicest guys in person too, just a genuinely sweet guy. Thank you Teri for getting this song in front of DJ. Absolutely wonderful choice! And thank you DJ for the great reaction!
This was so great and a wonderful reaction by you my guy. If you react to nothing else by Kenny, you have to check out Coward of the County. You'll probably only find lyric videos, but that song doesn't need a video. It is flames by lyrics alone!
Love your channel!💝 I had the wonderful chance of seeing them in concert in November and they were fantastic. This was one of the songs they sang with Rob doing Kenny's part. You should check out Kenny Rodgers and The First Edition they were terrific together. They had a television program in the 1970's.
Been waiting for you to do this one. Knew you would LOVE it! A fav they did with my favorite male singer, Kenny. His gravely voice was the best. Here are some of the ones I loved best -- be sure to listen to at least one, Lady for sure, Don't Fall in Love With a Dreamer, She Believes in Me, Ruby Don't Take Your Love to Town, Lucille and what many sites and other singers consider one of the greatest duets ever, Dolly singing with Kenny -- Islands in the Stream. Find a live version of them together. They were incredible and very close. It comes thru in their singing together. Take care and thanks always for the great(!) reactions!! Your joy and enthusiasm is so infectious!
While this is treated as a Christmas song nowadays because of the line about Jesus being born in Bethlehem, that's actually the only Christmassy line in the whole song. It's an old African-American spiritual and was originally sung all year round, so it's okay to react to it after Christmas is over.
Kenny was so excited! He successfully looked HF up on the Internet! And I am relatively certain that he actually adopted Adam Rupp after this set. He just wrapped his arm around Adam and wouldn't let go.
Love that! Kenny adopting Adam. Lol😊
#HOMEFREE......wow!
Such a good song!!! So energetic and I loved your reaction! They did the Gambler as a tribute to Kenny when he passed! Kenny sounded great for 75! 😃🤩
Home Free still sing this on their Holiday Show with Chance singing Kenny's part. I got to see them perform it in December. Great reaction.
Yes. Adam Chance is great singing Kenny's part. RIP Kenny.
The Holiday show was amazing!! Loved this live!!
Kenny Rogers is actually how I discovered Home Free. He was my absolute favorite singer for many many years and this song came across my feed.
I'm so glad Kenny Roger's got ahold of Homefree and they Sang so well together ❤🎉 Kenny might not have liked to be called a Legend but he was❤
❤#Home Free. Great 👍 reaction. The guys did amazing 😍. RIP Kenny 😢 ❤❤
Love the joy you feel from this.
This is one of my favorite Christmas songs. Austin is showing his southern gospel roots in this one. Love your reaction.❤
One of my favorites! You can see how thrilled they were to sing with him. Loved your reaction, got you moving huh?❤
Such a great reaction! I loved this one too! # HOMEFREE.
Loved your enthusiasm! Thanks for your reaction. Most excellent!
R.I.P. Kenny Rogers🙏
It’s a classic Black Spiritual and Counting Song. Brilliant!!!
Love your enthusiasm and wit- subbed!
If you want to check out more Kenny, may I suggest his live version of Lady? Where he's in the white suit? It's an epic performance.
Yes and for a twofor, do Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton "Islands in the Stream" paradiseresort
Yes!!!! A real love song. Many babies made to this song.
Yes! Excellent Kenny Roger's song to gain some exposure. Gotta have a reaction from you on that one. 16 year old video but still sounds sweet.
@@gk5891 I love "Islands", but my favorite Kenny & Dolly is "You Can't Make Old Friends".
This was the first song I heard Home Free do. Hooked from then on.
Kenny and Dolly Parton were good friends and did several duets together ... my favorite is "Islands In The Stream" ... think you'd love it !
I just went to church. Have watched it so many times and still am ❤
I stumbled upon this video just about a year ago. I had never heard of Home Free until then. I watched this video about a dozen time to convince myself they did not use any instruments. I absolutely love this group!
Thats exactly how I feel! Music has always been the best way to reach me! I luv this! Great reaction! 🤙

This is so very awesome! Home Free + Kenny Rogers are fire! RIP Kenny! Love your reaction!
Another cool song from Kenny is called "The Greatest " NOT WHAT YOU EXPECT
This is an old Gospel song. Awesome
It’s not with HF but you MUST react to Kenny Roger’s-“Lady”! OMG
Not too many Christmas songs you can groove to but was on my feet the whole song at my second Christmas concert in December. Not to mention front row next to the sub woofers 👀👀
Oh how fun, so glad you loved it, I hope to see you react to more of Kenny's music.
When someone like Kenny approaches you for a colab..you're going to jump at the chance

This!! Pause as much as you feel the need to.
I grew up religious. I'm not anymore but man i love this song. It reminds me of the southern gospel churches where everyone is up singing and dancing.
Great reaction, glad you loved it. Just to clarify, this in not a "Kenny Rogers" song, it's a cover of a traditional song.
First time I ever heard that song was Pentatonix version on this year's Christmas album. Love Kenny Rogers and Home Free, they did it justice 🥰
Thanks for another great reaction. Not only was Kenny a great singer he was also a great actor. He acted his is song of the Gambler as well as in his song of Coward Of The County and among others shows he did.
Go listen to his whole discography. You won't regret it!
Kenny was a legend and im sure the boys were thrilled to collaborate with him, it was awesome. Great reaction as always

PS - Kenny Rogers hits with his band "The First Edition including ua-cam.com/video/AULOC--qUOI/v-deo.htmlsi=J_bCtyRPgJqln3WX -"Just Dropped In".

If I ever need some get up and go, this song does it for me - every time. Thanks DJ! 😆🍟
RIP Kenny
Gospel isn't my thing, but this is such a bop and the harmonies and the backing melodies are fabulous.
This was so awesome! Home Free used the whole toolbox on this one! One of my favorites Year round! ❤️ #HomeFree
This is a favorite of mine.
This song is good for any time of year.

Great Reaction I adore this version it is awesome and I am herd my maiden name is little deer or sign of the deer in Czechloslovakian
This was so great and a wonderful reaction by you my guy. If you react to nothing else by Kenny, you have to check out Coward of the County. You'll probably only find lyric videos, but that song doesn't need a video. It is flames by lyrics alone!
If I remember correctly, Chris Rupp reacts to this video as well and explains the making of the video.
Kenny Rogers started out his career in rock. For fun, check out Kenny Rogers and the First Edition doing their song, Just Dropped In.
Love your channel!💝 I had the wonderful chance of seeing them in concert in November and they were fantastic. This was one of the songs they sang with Rob doing Kenny's part. You should check out Kenny Rodgers and The First Edition they were terrific together. They had a television program in the 1970's.
Look up Tim’s story about trying to make it to NY to be on Kenny’s appearance on th Tonight Show…
❤
If you're ready to go down the rabbit hole that is Kenny Rogers, and his 64 year singing career, You SHOULD react to "Coward of the County"........
I recall hearing Tim say the guys got the call from Kenny while at church they were performing, & they were practicing the Butts Medley!
Kenny didn’t write this by a long shot. It is an old (like 1930s) African-American spiritual (gospel), which evolved from an even older English song.
Thsnks for making the hair less distracting! Love to see your face fully!
Kenny also does a live version with Lionel Richie, it is amazing!!!

You should also listen to Kenny song Coward of the County 😊😅❤
That's a beautiful song. ❤
I love to see reactors do an about face during that one.
Just like being in a Southern Baptist Church
Anybody who complains about pausing can piss off. Lol.
Look at Lady by kenny rogers. My favourite. Written by lionel Ritchie
Gospel music at its finest.
Great reaction. If you like country i truly recommend you to check out more of Kenny Roger's.
👍👍Awesome performance. 🖖❤
If you want to hear a beautiful song by Kenny Rogers, listen to "The Last Ten Years", it will make you want to cry.
RIP kenny
you should check out Islands in the Stream with Kenny Rogers and Dolly Paton great song
I saw them sing that live together at one of the many Kenny Rogers’ concerts I went to. It was amazing!
Thanks 😊
They had to take breaks cause of Kenny Rogers cause of Kenny's health . He passed away shortly after this taping .
He passed away in March, 2020 -- years after this was recorded.
You haven't heard anything yet, you need to react to LADY by Kenny Rogers.
Fire!!!!

You probably already know this, but Kenny didn't write that song. It's so old, no one is sure just how old it is.
And yet you use God's name often in all of your reactions. Interesting. Enjoy your reactions, lots of energy.
you talk to much and to long
