A marvelous and inspiring personal testimony of triumph over evil. I find it heroic in the true sense of the word that so many people who were subjected to such barbaric inhuman subjugation are able to find the strength and revisit those terrible experiences for the good of others learning from them. Of course, nobody "wins" in war but where once people sought to see Judaism in all its forms irradicated, I am pleased to hear the "triumph" of the Jewish families, faith and culture flourishing.
Well said!! I’m so sorry that anyone would treat human beings so egregiously, especially God’s chosen people. Their faith and strength in the midst of their persecutions defies belief…only God could lead them to the promised land. ❤
What a turbulent early life Artemis Batis lived !! What a loss she faced!! Sad that no one from her immediate family survived. Artemis is really brave. Hats off to her steadfast approach !! She must be 95 if she is alive. Yad Vashem has done a wonderful job ,with superb pictures, videography of real places and for preserving the story of Artemis. Thanks to the team of Yad Vashem!!
a very brave young lady facing so much tragedy and death and of loss of her mother and family. Artemis had a lot of stamina and grit and a will to endure and to survive, which she did very well, and without the hate and animosity which so many survivors couldn't let go and still carried with them all their lives. A beautiful, upbeat, inspiring lady. Bless her and her positive attitude to forge forward in life, and not to dwell on her tragic life. If Artemis had to keep her mind and body busy all these years so not to dwell on her pain of her families and her tragic past, who can blame her. This was her way of coping until she could come to terms with her past. She had done very well in her life and in living it.
What a sweet and positive lady you are, Artemis. You inspire me. Shalom.
