I do love your videos, but for folks that are primed to watch sports videos on UA-cam, you might consider adding "Preview" to your title so that viewers will know that they're getting a pre-race analysis rather than a post-race breakdown. You post both well, but I was hoping for the latter - unaware of when the meet date. Thanks for helping to put Track & Field on the entertainment radar for so many folks!

Yep, by far. Lyles would have to do a Bolt like roll, or pull something to lose.
Lyles would need to run in the 400 or longer to not be the favorite in pretty much any given race rn

That may be true in the 100m, but bolts 200m record is absolutely doable by lyles. His pb is only a tenth of a second off, which can be made up with better conditioning

good vid but where the heck did you get splits from lyles faster than 3.37 for the closing 40
TRP saying nonsense as usual.
Fahnbulleh looked on fire on that final baton. The leg speed seemed better than previous seasons.
A crazy win
Ato Bolton's 9.86 (1.8) on 19 April '98 I think is still the only wind-legal 9.8x in April ever with the 2nd quickest being Terrence Jones's 9.91 (1.0) last April, really hope all the races this wkend get good legal tailwinds 🤞 Want to see Big Joe build on his 10.09 (1.8) opener from 2wks ago & better his 9.98 (1.6) PB from the same meet last yr. Wanna see him get back to 2022's 19.83 200m form after being a little off in the event last yr. Be interesting to see what Kenny B runs in the 100m as well & what Knighton does in the 400m.

Boling is overhyped for no valid reason.
You should look into Kibren from Albany State. Opened his season with 10.14 and recently ran 10.00. He DII
I am surprised you again didn't mention why that baton exchange was screwed up. I feel like the best explanation is simply Knightons incredible run that messed up Lyle's timing, as he set his pace to match Knighton instead of his teammate.

Heyyy champion of what, less talk 🦜 and more running.
Bro wants to be Noah friend so bad...😂 🤦🏽♂️ "the faster he's got in the 60 , the faster he's gotten in the 100 and 200" not true. 2 years ago he ran 6.55 and 19.31 and last year ran 6.51 and 19.47. Only thing he improved on was his 100 his 200 got slower and he only broke 19.5 once averaging 19.78 last year
TRP mate. Fanboying like there's no tomorrow. 😅
10.95
Why did bro use so much special effects when talking Lyles than others. Also why would you use 3.34 last 40m instead of 3.37
It's TRP, click bating and so on. You know how it goes.
@@actual_random Lyles did split 3.32s. BUT, that was with a +4.4m/s wind behind him. 🙃
So we're back to breaking the 10 second barrier and everybody crossing the line together, how boring life is without BOLT.
Then don't watch
I know you don’t cover multis, but don’t forget Anna hall is finally competing! Easily one of the top American female prospects going into Paris
Fon boo LAEY!!
Practice makes perfect
Lol at TRP. So much hype, talks about a 9.7s and Lyles pulls off a 10.01s going all out.
The hype is over (I know, till next race...).
10.01s with +1.7m/s Tailwind, on top of that.
@@AttractionPB2 Yep, forgot to point that out.
But to be honest, I'm a bit puzzled. Lyles was clocking 6.4s low just a few weeks ago, in March. So, he should be in that kind of shape. His performance was subpar, more so with all of the hype around him nowadays... Even his top end speed was far from impressive.
Is this the year that Fanbulleh brings it?
Fastest ever 😂😂😂
Exactly
9.88. I think he'd want to make a statement for the season.
If Lyles gets at least a 1.0+ m/s tailwind on a fast track against elite competition, he can run 9.67.
9.67s? What makes you think that? More so, in April?
That makes no sense lol
Dreams, Hopes and Ambitions 😂😂
@@TheoOJamaloO1 🤣 The thing about these so called fans is they talk about numbers like if it's just a number... They don't realize how hard it is to go sub 9.7s.
From what we now today, Lyles can't split any faster than 3.37s. For him to go 9.69s alone, he would then have to split 6.32s at 60m, lol. Only 4 guys have ever split 6.32s or faster (Su, Bolt, Asafa and Coleman). Lyles has never split sub 6.43s, though, let alone 6.35s, and let alone sub 6.35s... Lol, so all of a sudden 9.69s seems impossible!
Let's then assume Lyles can split 6.35s (at Gatlin's level pretty much) at 60m, which seems hard to believe. Even so, Lyles would have to split 3.34s from 60...100m which only 2 man have split: Gay and Usain.
I will not say Lyles cannot surprise me (us), but to think, today, that he can go 9.6s seems a pipe dream.
9.82
Lyles a beast...
American leadership sprinter...
Where is Fred Kerley and how will he run this Olympic year?
. A+
I bet a lot of people will scratch.
It’s a shame the Paris Olympic Games will be so controversially affected... if they don’t end up cancelled due to impending War!🙏
TPR
That 6.40+3.30 (9.70s 100m), which is like almost his human limits, could become a 9.61/2 with +2.0m/s of positive tailwind which is not an athlete's ability but a bunch of luck! I really want this to happen! Imagine Lyles running 9.6
What 9.70s exactly are you talking about? TRP is just adding numbers at random there and made up a number out of his arse...
And you just made it worse yourself. 9.61s? Are you being serious? You pick a number that has just been completely made up and then you make further assumptions to get to a 9.61s? LOL.
Btw, what makes you think Lyles would be able to go 9.70s with no wind assistance in the 1st place? May I remind you that just last season Lyles ran a wind assisted race (+4.4m/s) and was only able to split 3.32s from 60-100m. And that was with a 4.4m/s wind behind him...
You newbie fans are living in la-la land.
@@Yes_I_c4n Was just gonna comment but you nailed it!
@@Yes_I_c4n what makes you think Italian champ is only a newbie fan? 😅
@@Luca_._ You surely seem like it.
@@Luca_._ Mate there's your answer: 10.01s at 1.7m/s tailwind.
My head says Noah but my heart says Joseph.
Me rn 🤣🤣🤣🤣Noah most definitely wins but if joe pulls an upset I will be very pleased!
@@Pumpxkin Very unlikely though. According to TRP, Lyles can split a conservative 6.40s. 😅
@@Yes_I_c4n Nah I think Noah can split 6.38+3.18 for 9.56 wr! And he for sure will go 18.60s.
@@Pumpxkin 😅One thing is for sure, though, Gay also never split sub 3.37s before Berlin 09, when he was 26/27 years old. So, maybe Lyles can split sub 3.37s this year, though I doubt it based on his overall consistency.
@@Yes_I_c4n that’s a great point. But I just don’t see Noah dipping below 3.33s and that’s a stretch. Maybe he can split 3.34 on a perfect day but I doubt it. 6.43+3.37 he’s like at 9.80 pace.
9.83!
I'd like to see Ronnie have a great season this year.
Noah will break the American record in the 100m in 2024 by .01
he doesn't have a 9.6 in him
You are just talking nonsense with no actual data to back it up.
He'll go mid 9.7 at most
@@epicperson137 Yea a low 9.8 is far more likely. It's too early into the season.
The wind will contribute to the 60m outdoor being faster. As you can see nearly all of those are wind aided but within the allowable limit
I think he will go 9.9
I do thonk lyles will be faster this year as a direct result of him competing in the 60m
If he comes out the blocks with the intensity that you have to come out with in the 60 he will be better this year
He should be faster. Let's see how his speed maintenance holds up, though.
I think 9.90 is where he'll end up.
I don't know man. He was running 6.4s low just a few weeks back. Unless he is not fresh, then I would say 9.8s low.
Lyles its gonna win because he's start is way way better than Fanhbuleh, despite raw speed of both of them is good.
Lyles splitting a conservative 6.40s at 60m? 😅
Jeez, the fanboying is outrageous...
My boy Joe!

I LOVE this channel but I hate that the clickbait videos act like it's a break down of the race when in reality the race hasn't even happened yet. YEARS of this nonsense!
That steroids is fest fester
Your comment that Noah would have caught Joseph Fanbulet in that failed 4x100 is incorrect. Joseph's top end is unmatched! If he can only get his starting to be better, he will be unbeatable in my mind. Just look how he hauled in everyone in that race you showed. He came from just about last to 2nd place?
I would agree with you if it was anybody else. Does Joe have the ability? Without question. But Noah could possibly be THE top end guy. We (and possibly Joe) got robbed at the Florida Relays, that leg could boosted Joe’s profile with a win or close loss.
I think Noah would’ve caught him because he was only like 2m behind and Joe never has great early season times, would’ve been a really fun race to watch though
JB and NL's top end speed are actually very similar.
Joseph Fanbulet couldn't run down a teenager Erriyon Knighton. Knighton was actually gapping him the final 50m in a 200m race... Yet you're say a grown man that's the 100 and 200 world champion couldn't????? BUHAHAHAHAHAHA 🤦♂️
@@tankeater You're funny, but you should know your numbers a bit better. Do you have any idea how fast has JF split for his anchor leg? And what about NL? Do you?
U have make a mistake in the season open in 2023 we have Julian Forte running the 100m with lyles and in the results we dont see hes name in there !!!Wrong information my man!!
Can you please put PREVIEW in your titles?
It's a bit annoying clicking and expecting to see the race.
9.45 WR or 9.92
Bravo.
9,91 noah
If Fahnbulleh could get his start working, even up to normal, his closing speed could get him on the medal stand and possibly ahead of Lyles and Tebogo.
The indoor 60 is slower than outdoor 60 in a 100 because of what is trying to be accomplished in the respective distance.
The indoor you are working hard (perhaps too hard in many cases) to reach max velocity over 60 and shutting it down. Not as smooth or relaxed as a quality 100.
Over the 100, you are trying to reach max velocity in a slightly different manner, in order to not become tense, which requires a more or less relaxed ( under great effort) exertion.
When a sprinter is able to focus on 100 instead of 60 it allows the mind and body to be more relaxed, less tense. This in turn produces a result of ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nervous system firing, being more efficient.
Relaxation in effort generates more efficient results.
That makes no sense whatsoever, lol.
@@Yes_I_c4n it does if you actually sprint and also study body mechanics
@@inerfyr No it doesn't. Then all they would have to do is run the 60m as if it were a 100m race and they would get significantly faster.
Interestingly, up to this very moment, Coleman is actually a significantly faster 100m runner. For all the seemingly vast improvements, Lyle's is still covering 100m no faster than he was five years ago. Not saying he can't but amazingly he hasn't improved at all (yet).🤷♂️
He has improved his 100m time by 0.03s. His top end speed has not improved at all since 2019. His start is faster, for sure. If he maintains his 60...100m fastest split he should be able to go sub 9.8s.
I can see a 6.40s + 3.37s = 9.77s. I don't see him going faster than this and I'm not expecting him to go much faster than this.
@@Yes_I_c4n Yes I know technically he improved. And agree he will top out at a high 9.7. Though I think what will actually happen in the race this year is that he'll be put under enormous pressure and won't actually break 9.8 at all.

Yup... My sentiments exactly
“I really think Lyles had a solid chance of tracking down Fahnbulleh over the final 100” …. What? Man Noah would have easily WALKED him down
Idk about that it would’ve been a battle. Joe’s finishing speed is pretty damn fast and it would’ve had Noah run for his money. Not to say Joe is faster but to say he would’ve easily been walked down is a bit crazy.
@@Pumpxkin Noah has the fastest top end and closing speed in the world…
Don't say nonsense. JF and NL's top end speed is actually remarkably similar. The thing is JF's start is not that great, but give him a running start and the kid is fast.
@@inkedbeedeez NL''s top end is a bit overrated. I mean, he is obviously super fast, but he has "only" split 3.37s on his best day. Kerley, for instance, has split 3.35s. Hughes has split 3.36s. So, saying that NL's has the highest top end speed just shows lack of knowledge, really.
@@inkedbeedeez stop talking and do more search
i think part of the 60m thing is mental, they know that they have 40m left of the race plus extra track after whereas indoors 60m its very rare u will see any of the athletes still sprinting thru the tape as they have to slow down in a very short space after if they dont wanna cause themselves any injury, id like to see a 60m race where they dont have that worry and can really push it to the max
