Jazakallah Khair for addressing such an important, relevant topic Sheikh! May I humbly suggest that perhaps you yourself wrte a comprehensive book addressing this issue since Alhamdulillah, you already have some profound insight.

This is very interesting!!! I was introduced to Islam by four Saudi men who shared a one bedroom apt at one point as students. I was in the bedroom and the men slept in the same bed together or on the couch. I thought it was the sweetest thing, but they also felt homosexuality was unnatural so my girlfriend, who has many gay friends, had many debates about the subject with them. I've noticed that even in frats or in strong male friendships, the men become much more heterosexually affectionate toward one another (perhaps when alcohol is involved). But I agree men and women cannot be friends past a 1 or a 2. Thank you for your lectures. These are valid points and I can back them up with my first hand experiences.

Is it allowed to cut ties in kinship with such a human? I am closely related to a person with an immoral life and I am so disgusted to be in the same room as them. I cannot look into their eyes and speak more then 5 words with them put of pure disgust. Is it allowed to break off contact completely?

If you're having a positive impact on them, please continue giving da'wah. However, if they are having a negative impact on you, then it's best to create distance. Allah knows best.

@@dr.nasserk barakAllahu feek! we will try to open up the topic to him. It is actually crazy for him to have such tendencies in our family and culture. It like being tired of living. Its not impossible for someone in the family to catch him and we hear nothing of him anymore…so we don‘t want the situation to escalate but still want to make him get away from that lifestyle
