- I modified my esbit stove, since it was pretty vulnerable to side winds and setting a cup on top of it was pretty unstable.

As a rule my bugout bag has esbut style stove and 48 fuel tabs .
I like this mod ,
If you don't mind oldgoat will copy and use .
Sure. Feel free. That‘s why I shared the Video.
Very helpful. Thanks!
Absolutely brilliant.......................................................................................!
Very elaborate , but you could have the same effect by flipping the stove upside down and putting the tablet underneath
Yeah, but won‘t the sides still be open? Or do you only mean the wind protection effect? The indentation for the fuel tablet will also stick out instead of beeing indented inward.
But yeah, I guess you could do that in an emergency
Excatly what I going be doing. Thanks
Genius.
Like my Esbit stoves. I have done some mods on mine. Thanks and take care.
Yeah I like them too. They are pretty underestimated although i must admit I rarely use it for anything else than boiling water. Real cooking outside just uses too many fuel tablets.
Really interesting design. And I was hoping you could help me to understand the mod, such as the importance of the screen on the bottom of the inside of the stove? 🤔
Thank you
Hi. Sure.
The screen mesh is only stored in the bottom of the stove. There it fits perfectly between the two lips. When set up the mesh serves as base for smaller cups.
The mods main purpose is to protect the stove from side winds. A secondary need was to store the additions inside the stove and still hold the fuel.
Thank you for your feedback on the stove design. Much appreciated!
👍🏻
It need only two steel wire for support small cup.
That is of course true. I use the mesh for stability. (Better for clumsy guys like me😬)
Simple and good TY
Thank you
Is that, mosquito wire?
No, it is a bit thicker than that…I‘d say about a millimeter. Got it from a hardwarestore.
@@JarlHauke ahhhh, ok, thanx
