- This is one of the cleanest 72 K5 Blazers you will find. It took Mike two long years to get this project finished for his son Luke. It is powered by a healthy 2016 6.2 liter direct injected LT Chevy 2500 HD truck engine. The engine is coupled to a 6L90E 6 speed auto transmission and a 3.0 Ratio Atlas transfer case. The rear axle is a late model 10.5” GM 14 bolt full floater with 4.10 gears and a Truetrac limited slip and factory dual piston disc brakes. The front axle is a high pinion 44 from a 1978 Ford F-250. It is driver’s side drop, and almost a direct bolt in. Only the shock mounts were modified. Both axles were rebuilt by WFO Concepts in Auburn Ca. The suspension is a simple 4” lift with all springs. The rear driveline is a 1350 CV, and the front driveline 1310 CV. The interior has electric seats from a newer Chevy Tahoe, and the interior was done at Roman’s upholstery in Auburn Ca. WFO Concepts built a custom family cage with built in Speaker cans, a dome light, and a custom bikini top. The 35” tires fit this build perfect! This is one of the cleanest fully thought out Blazers we have ever worked on.
Beautiful Blazer, great color combination. L86/87 is a good engine choice 😎
When I first seen the title I thought why a6.2 diesel but I forget about the 6.2 vortec. Badass rig
That Blazer is totally off the hook. GREAT job.
Can you imagine the look on Mike's face when you told him you're going to put a Ford front axle on it? 😳
Beautiful truck!
Just found this channel... loving it!!!
Yea dude, same here, found it tonight and I’m 5 videos deep 🤘🏻
Love the color! Very cool build.
Thank you! I have been saying for years that the mix of Chevy drive and Ford rears was the answer to rhe true unstoppable custom truck... You got it! I actually drag raced a chevy 383 stroker tci turbo 400 and a Ford 9 inch for alot of years with much success.
What a beauty. Great job!
That’s the most beautiful rig ... omg what a price tag
This year is the absolute most beautiful Blazers they ever made
@@danstrausbaugh6430 Agree! I need to get to work on mine!

Super clean
Love that colour
Too much pink in it....
Nice job!
WFO…. Let’s see some parts for in the future for 05+ super duty axles swap parts for a square body 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
We have a bunch of universal parts, such as radius arm mounts, link mounts, track bar brackets etc just nothing squarebody specific. Give us a call 530 268 9494
Well done! I used the same rear axle in my 87 k5. Don't understand why people are ok with losing their parking brake when there is a bolt-in solution available.
what year of 14 bolt axel and did it come with disc breaks stock? or did you have to aftermarket them?
@@dibs92365 Look for an axle from 2001 to 2003 I think. My axle was a 2001. All the internal are the same as an older 14 bolt, but give you factory disc brakes with a e-brake. I found a company that makes the parking brake cable for you. Basically, the front of the cable is made for your truck and the rear for the axle. Send me a DM and I can send you pics.
Great job! One question. Any reason you didn't go with a hydroboost for the braking system? Not a criticism just a question. Love what you did here
Jesus what is tht paint code for the red looks sweet
Ain’t nobody gonna be breaking anything off road riding in that I’d guarantee it lol Nice rig though for sure .
with the 6L90 Trans, the steering column shift indicator showes O D L2 L1 , is there not a shift ind. for a 6 speed? I ask because thats what I have too. I will be replacing the OEM steering column but cant find a 6 speed indicator. Beautiful Truck!
Sweet sweet rig. I am building a truck and want to run 42 inch tires also drive it on the freeway I have 14 bolt for the rear a 205 transfer case and a Dana 44 for the front 3/4 ton can I build that up not to break or do I have to go with a Dana 60 I want a automatic not sure what trans I should go with also what gears thanka
How come the park lights don't work on the front fenders?
Sweet all except the exhaust note....
Sounded soggy
6.2 fawk yeah!! Oh..
Them wheels and tires sure look out of place on there.
Anyone get the paint colors that maroon/burgundy red color is sharp
Did all that awesome work and you put a dana 44 up front why not a dana 60??? You set it up with a Ford front end and going with a Ford high pinion would have been easy to find and cheap. Money did not seem to be an issue; I am a little confused.
Been better with a 6.2 Diesel in my opinion
No. Just no.
Unless it was factory it would be futile, just so many other options
6.2D...boat anchor, bad even for that use.
Can i get the color code?
Raspberry...lol
All that work and you kept push pull steering....
and used ford axles...
Chevy literally could of did this with the new blazer and they failed..
I saw 6.2 and was so excited until you started it. Gas. Meh.
