    Love all the different camera angles in this video. I'm sure that must have taken a lot of extra time, but it's very much appreciated! 📷

    Stay safe around there on that hillside and using the winch cable to drag those logs like that. It was nice of the Foreman to bring your lunch to you. They take pretty good care of you around there. Fred.

    Great video, wow, thick vines and steep slope. Try to keep vegetation on the slopes when you can. Vegetation will protect the hill side from erosion. Enjoy your videos. 😊

      Yeah those dumb vines are a pain lol.. I'm leaving the trees up top but I wanted to clear out the lower ones so they don't land on the pigs. Thanks for watching us Al!

      I bought this winch from my aunt when my uncle passed away. It sure comes in handy on the hills. Next time I shoot a deer I'm going to try and use it then 👍

    Pretty cool, what is the main advantage of having the winch rather than just a cable connected to your tractor to pull them out?

    • @Mallard5plus1Farmhouse
      @Mallard5plus1Farmhouse  Рік тому +2

      The advantage is that I can pull out 50, 100, 200 foot of cable and pull it all back in closer to the tractor.. that way I'm not a mile away from the log I'm dragging lol

    • @SteadfastRC
      @SteadfastRC Рік тому +2

      @@Mallard5plus1Farmhouse okay that's kind of what I figured, I've always just had various lengths of cable with shackles to make them longer or shorter as I needed them. The winch would be sweet though.

    In regards to the Pig fencing, have you ever used premiere electric fencing? We use it for pigs it's great, the only thing about it is piglets are small enough to squeeze through but it keeps the adults in and it's easy to move.

    • @Mallard5plus1Farmhouse
      @Mallard5plus1Farmhouse  Рік тому +1

      That's what I was leaning towards.. I was more concerned with the older pigs but if you're saying they stay in then I really like that idea 👍

      @@Mallard5plus1Farmhouse yeah we really like it, been using it for quite a while. I have a 12-volt fence charger running off of a deep cycle battery with a 30 watt solar panel oh, it's pretty much self contained. You will want to spring for a good fence charger, especially for the dryer months.

    Pigs would have that place cleaned out in about 1yr depending on how many you put in there..with no work from you.
