I'll be honest, I lost some faith in Ten Hag with that Spurs performance. 2 games left this week, Porto and Villa away. We need to see 2 really solid team performances in 2 tough away environments or the international break is going to be very bleak. What's your prediction?

If bruno starts in the 10 means Ten hag has learnt nothing and united probably losewl without scoring. Zirkzee or mainoo in the 10 with bruno as an orchastreta we win easy.

Got to say that I was kind of looking forward to three league games without Bruno. Not that I don't rate him...I think he's amazing...it would just be interesting to see how someone like Martinez would handle the captaincy. I just don't think that Bruno has the right personality to be captain.
totally agree👍 Bruno's short temper only helps the other team. In Spurs game we saw a better captaincy in De Light to lift up the mood! We really need more of that

how i wish ETH should switch dalot and mazroui position. Dalot with thise overlaps and making the cutbacks or crosses into the box while mazroui to make a back three with martinez and de ligt. at left back dalot doesnt overlap and that is one of his strengths

Our away record under ETH is abysmal especially coming up against teams who are well coach, so I don't see a win for united which means more pressure on ten hag
To be fair we could win 9-0 in each game and most people won’t change their opinion. I think results is what the owners will want for now and then it should gel. He now has his team after 2 years and an actual squad. By Christmas we should look a lot better. If not it’s goodbye sadly

We need to develop quite a few ball progressing midfielders through our academy cause those players are extremely expensive when transferred from other clubs. Might make a hefty profit from them as well.

I've never seen any Man City fans predicting their lineups. Stop critizing Erik because he didn't select the players you predicted, sometimes players don't reach the fitness levels he wants then you start complaining when he lets them in.

OK I'll explain the United problem. You need 2 key players. A central defender who decides everything defensively(low block, high block, when to put pressure in defence, long ball or not long ball etc) and a midfielder who decides when to put pressure and how to put pressure. This can not come from Ten Hag, teams change and adept, the key players need to decide. I played as a libero and central midfielder myself. if someone didnt do their job or put pressure when I said I would literally smack that person if needed(I never needed too) or go really hard at training. But you can only be that player if you work the hardest yourself and solve any issue on the field. I see nobody getting angry when mistakes are made, I see them accepting and thats the worst thing.(Zirkzee when he plays he has to be coached in the pressure, same with Rashford) and defensively everyone has to be behind the ball when the opponent has the ball.
ALSO every player needs 3 assignment that they MUST keep.
example Rashford
1. when dalot or Martinez has the ball, be ready to sprint deep or come short next to the sideline(so these players know where to put the ball during pressure)
2. the right back can NEVER pass you, make a foul if needed or sprint back(so defence is always set up well)
3. when you go deep till the goal line, you always shoot low if possible to the first post or just of our reach of the goalkeeper(so forwards know where the ball will come and know where to be)
Example Fernandez:
1. you decide when to put pressure, no pressure before you have decided to put pressure, you tell when the midfielders need to move up, and you tell the forwards when to run for the ball(so pressure is controlled, not 1 person sprinting and feeling hopeless and letting opponents pass)
2. always move towards the defender who has the ball, and dont be in the same zone as the other 2 midfielders(to prevent opponent from putting too much pressure on the defenders, so there is always a way to pass the ball)
3. when a winger has the ball and goes deep, be at the outer box in front of goal(when a defender heads the ball from the corner)
You can do this for all the players, you just set some rules and verify where should you do when this happens? etc And all players should know the rules of the other players. This is how you can create payers, and you only change these lightly based on the opponent.
in business that call this the RACI(responsible, accountable, consulted, and informed) model right. This way every mistake or wrong attack pattern, you can define who was responsible, accountable, who was consulted(didnt know where teammate should be?) and informed(do they know the rules of themselves and others)
I think Hojlund should be starting games for us now... I like what Zirkzee gives us in the way he plays, but he doesn't seem like he can score us Goals... Maybe we have to shift into playing more direct and Start Hojlund from now on... Maybe it'll also help Bruno play better

4-5-1 is great when you have clinical finishers like CR7, RVN OR RVP at the top of the formation. Sadly, We no longer have a finisher of that caliber.

We're missing McTominay. His goals got us 12 points last year, otherwise we'd have finished 12th. It could be what has actually the straw that broke the camels back. For me he would have played in every game so far.

Casemiro made 2 mistakes and was benched every single game after that except the carabao cup. Dalot made so many mistakes since the start of the season and gets away with it . Benched Dalot is all I care and put in the young academy player in. How could you still played every single minute with that kind of performance?

I don’t think we’ll see Rashford in the middle. Probably will be him on the left, Garna on the right and Zirkzee in the middle. Would love to see Hojlund in the middle but I don’t see them playing to his strengths.

Love your content and agree we need to be 4-5-1 but I would NOT play garnacho and Rashford together. They are too similar in their strengths and Weaknesses. They were terrible defensively and decision making against spurs. It needs to be Garnacho or Rashford on the left. Hojlund or zirksee in the 9 and Amad on the right. Otherwise we will have no possession and poor defensive effort from our wings.

the style he is trying to implement is the problem, the 4-2-4 won’t work in the prem. he has tried it at the start of 3 seasons and failed miserably each time.. even worse this season when all the players are his signings and players who know his style.
Ten Hag is too stubborn, why can't he learn from last season? He adapted against city and last 3 match in premier league and did better than when he is forcing his ajax style. This season he is doing the same thing, staying with a style that ain't working.
This couldn't be further from the truth. His style of play changes every game. At Ajax, he played the Ajax way. His tactics rely on stretching the opposition and moving the ball quickly, but there are many positional roles that change from game to game, as in who goes forward and who stays back, who inverts and who overlaps, etc. United players don't give their all in games. Even one player can bring the tempo down in games and in training. We should be able to carve teams open as long as we do the basics right and stick to his plan. But we don't. Players fold under pressure. They don't want to do it week in week out or against decent teams who will push you to your limit. They won't put their bodies where it hurts. The 2028 target set by Berrada made them question themselves whether they will be here until then. And best believe many of them won't. Rashford is getting moved on in the summer along with Shaw, Casemiro and possibly Dalot. Maguire Evans Lindelof and Eriksen will be out of contract. This WILL and MUST happen regardless of who is the manager. They are the ones who are holding us back, not ten Hag. He is only working with what he's got at the moment. The reason EtH doesn't drop Bruno and won't drop de Ligt this season (in the League at least) is because we do not have enough leaders in the squad. Bunch of cry babies like the people who call themselves "supporters" of Manchester United but are only looking for instant gratification. Shameless bunch of snakes who will probably get another manager sacked. EtH has made a ton of mistakes during his tenure, but to say he's made the same mistakes over and over is factually incorrect. It's the players who keep on making the same mistakes on the pitch, not improving themselves. The fact that he has to change his principles of playing expansive football (which is what we want and should be doing) and become a counter attacking tactician just to get a tune out of these players says more about the players than it does about the manager.
ETH will definetely start with Rashford and Bruno, so there is no need to waste your own time with alternative formations 😂

You are playing Porto at home they will not sit in a deep block and would want to come at us why play Casemiro when you know he is not good in progressing the ball? This is so reactionary go for Ugarte Erickson and Fernandez. Now the key to this how close they are to each other and Dalot coming into midfield when we are on the attack. You want Dalot coming into midfield and getting the ball off the defence finding either Erickson and garnacho on the left or Fernandez or Amad on the right. Ugarte in the deeper midfield to make sure if we lose possession those two are ready to tackle. Hojlund should start because we would have crosses coming from the switch Amad coming into the middle and Bruno going out wide to create either shot scross the box or crosses into Hojlund. Which also means our middle of the field is packed
Hey Sam, would you be against a return of Ralf Rangnick to United? The style of football he had his team playing in the Euros was quite impressive... That's a style of play we should be seeing at United cause we lack an identity...
I think Ralf Rangnick would have been a good choice for the Inneos project and developing the team. It’s just unfortunate that he came in when he did, I don’t think we’d be able to get him back though.

I've not lost my faith totally as i see the pain as needed and some huge decision on players that can longer perform need to be asked yes the used to perform but they are non....not just for this manager but previous ones.. this will continue unless the players unlock themselves .. stop giving up and grow the mental capacity that clearly is lacking ...focus on getting the game win than pointing fingers

I think Erik is too stubborn. He will get sacked eventually. INEOS didn't sign him, so why should they keep him? I don't think he should be sacked straight away if we lose to porto and Villa, but I think he should be given an ultimatum. Long-term projects are fine, and in a transitional period, there will be setbacks, but this can't be the excuse every single time we lose. Simple tactical changes can save the team. What's the point in the project when all we see are losses and setbacks and very little progress. Players need to have a stronger mentality to see games out. They lose their heads when they concede, and then everything falls apart. ten Hag needs to manage this.
