What model do you recommend for tog fishing off the jetties and occasionally boat fishing I usually use a 1oz jig? I was thinking between the weapon jr mag taper or the weapon mag taper 7ft 10in models. I will appreciate anyone’s opinion.

Will a Penn fathom 2 15 CS fit the Century Slingshot SS1506C?
Penn reels nowadays have small clamps and some users reported it not fitting certain larger rods.

I am looking at either the Surf Machine or The Weapon. I will be using it primarily at inlets (high current) in Florida and off the beach for Snooks and Reds. Which rod would work better for this application? Thanks
Surf machine is going to have a bit more stiffness and backbone to handle high currents, thanks!

Century build there rods like cheap crap. Wonky guides not in one line, blanks that are not straight. Lenght difference of the blank between each rod. They only care about making money and not to deliver a good product to the customer!
Sorry to hear that you've had that experience. Most of our century rods are finished here locally by a fantastic builder so we don't have that issue.
I've never seen a Century rod that isn't perfect. They're highest quality and most beautifully finished rods in the world.
