Just ordered a 6X Pro Solar for Christmas and I will be returning here for advice. Can't wait to see your video of the unboxing of the solar version. Subscribed. I too live in Colorado.
Great stuff! Hoping to snag my 6 Pro on Friday, and put it through some paces over the weekend. Glad I stumbled onto your Channel...looking forward to watching some of your other gear reviews...much appreciated!
Best review I’ve seen yet! You speak well, your organized and detailed! I’m pissed though because I recently bought the Fenix 5X and while I like it it a lot, I would have definitely bought the 6Pro or the one with the solar recharge feature. I wonder if there’s a venue to sell my watch?
It took some years for Garmin to implement the heart rate colured gauge into the split screen data fields xD. Better late than never! It was a great video, thank you.
Great review! But my F5+ has already so many features I don't need or use, why pay more for more things I don't use? E.g. popularity routing leads me along main roads although I live in the woods, or the navigation, which I used only to try it out. What I need is navigation along a pre-defined track, the maps, accurate GPS and flawless connection to the sensors, the rest is nice or even useless!
The Solar is the way to go if you are going to spend the money anyway, if you like big watches or are coming from a Gshock. However, the 6 series isnt easy to sleep with if you like the sleep tracking. 245, Venu, Vivoactive4, and even the 945 feel better at night. Still, I prefer the Solar
...glad they went nuts with the bands lol. Huge selling point... e.g. Apple? Cycling, don't really need music and apps. Like all the options... good stuff.
Great DesFit! Pacepro is the feature that most interest me.You nailed it. Now if only the watch could take into account the incline% for training plans and VO²Max... Thx

OH MAN....... when you said "SOLAR" I almost peed a little with excitement..... but alas, it's only dabbling in solar. I'll upgrade my 5 when they come out with a fully solar Fenix.
That´s lame, why didn't they use the same solar as Seiko uses, it charges from all light-sources. And that for a $1000,00 watch its a dealbreaker for me to be honest
Great vid. I have a fenix 6 pro solar and was never aware of an "X" pro solar. Guess they snuck that in since I bought mine. Wondering where, on your garmin, you access the pace pro feature once you've set it up in connect.

The price they charge for the solar version is extortion. I would get it if it had an oled screen and a touch screen. Garmin needs to wake up. I got the Sapphire 6s gold watch though and it's insanely good.
Most probably their production expenses are high and profit margin is thin so they are passing expense on limited number of customers. If it would sell better they could have lower price.
Hey Des! Is it good price for 6 pro 47mm, 570$ new? Many people complain about poor gps cause of the metal bezel on 6, and even HR isn't that good.. is garmin doing something about that thru updates..?
Although not perfect, GPS is pretty respectable for me on 2 different fenix 6's. The HR will suffer on larger watches - for instance, the fenix 6S will be generally more accurate than the 6X and that's due to the size. The larger and heavier the watch, the less accurate the HR will be since it has more potential to move on the wrist. That said, YES - that's a great price!

im upgrading from the 3 hr to the 6x pro and it’s amazing
Poor evolution
Just got the 6x pro solar, I love it, I'm a big watch guy and the battery life is a plus for me. I almost settled with a Galaxy 4 Classic but I prefer the size and durability of a Garmin. It's my first Garmin product and couldn't be happier. It's worth every dollar :)
It is amazing how you can keep track of all of those different model numbers and features! I always appreciate your videos and reviews! I personally prefer having the music capability.
This release was a doozy!
Excellent review. You by far have the best Garmin reviews hands down. Love how you organize the screen size, models, features and other user-related metrics.
Thanks a bunch!
it would be awesome if garmin had a trade-in program. i have the fenix 5x plus and absolutely love it. i dont feel like i need to upgrade but if they had a trade in program i would feel more inclined to upgrade lol
@@Sidowse yea i handed it down to my pops. i have the 6x sapphire now. he had an older forerunner 235 so it was a great upgrade for him lol
Your explanation of the Pace Pro feature for the 6X Pro was great! Either I wasn't sure how to use it or how best to use it at all... either way, I have a much better understanding of it and will be making use of it for my upcoming race! Thanks much, keep up the good work!
I'm so glad it helped! Thanks!!
Your Galaxy watch active 2
review will be my deciding factor. Please update the device to latest firmware before reviewing :)
That lamp is freaking genius.
Thanks!
Coffe ready, new desfit video about fenix... let's start the day :)
Yes! Maybe another one today? 🤔😁
