Max Verstappen is 2 times F1 World Champion and is set to get his third title this season. He drives for Oracle Red Bull Racing.

@@cookie23366 I would agree, except I'm tired of the delays, and watching cars endlessly circle the track behind a safety car. Today's sprint race was a joke. They waited until it completely stopped raining before they let the cars out, and then they burned up 5 of 15 laps behind the safety car with no rain coming down at all.
What exactly are extreme wet tires even for? They all quickly pitted and put on intermediate tires. It's getting ridiculous.

Yes, it is an extravagance but when you consider the crazy agendas where the people involved in F1 have to be at a certain place at a certain time one day and then somewhere else a continent away the next, commercial travel does not always make sense but it is heartening to see how the millions of critics only use buses and trains instead of taxis or personal vehicles. They are truly making a difference.
I guarantee you the pit crews fly commercial and they have to be there before the drivers to set everything up.

So the pit crews have to be in Los Angeles one day to shoot a commercial, New York the next for a photo shoot and then scoot off to England for a session in the simulator? Wow! That is total commitment. I thought they just tore down the garage and motor homes, put it all in cargo planes by Tuesday and then, barring a double or triple header, went home to the families or the factory for a week. Shows you what I know.

Can't be done. In order to fly jets you have to get too many hours and too much training to stay proficient and legal. It would eat up ALL of his free time.

I am pretty sure that there was dr. marko from redbull and franz tost from Alphatauri on board maybe some more big names from the red bull concern. The flew first to Grau (i know that this is thr Airport where most of the red bull Bosses Depart to the races) and 20 minutes after arriving the pilots depart to Salzburg where the red bull aviation is at Home on the hangar 7. Just love it ti watch private jets near a Racetrack ans then simulate who could it be and stuff

You can even use paper straws. Billionaires like Bill gates, Elon Musk and especially politicians doesn’t give a s*it about climate. We, normal people don’t mean anything for the climate. Even people like Max Verstappen traveling with his private jet doesn’t mean anything compare to big American and Chinese companies. He can still fly private to GPs with Toto or hired jets. Probably more cost effective. A year ago I read somewhere he sold it to a jet management company so he can still use it. But maybe he does regret it, he seems pretty obsessed with Max now and then.

In order to make it financially worthwhile, he could/should have made his aircraft available for external charter, that would have reduced the direct cost to him to something not much different from first class commercial travel.
