I love this. I am looking into apologetics ( defending Christianity with historical facts and the Bible) and today’s apologetics is so mean, prideful and turns my stomach. I really watch for the information.
But seeing you is absolutely refreshing. 🎉Having a conversation with a Muslim does not have to be combative. Going at each other’s throat. Defending the Bible is all about truth. And the “corruption” of the Bible is not stated in a Muslims Quran at all. Matter of fact Muhammad says he came to fulfill the Torah and the Gospels to the Christians and Jews of his time.
The only thing the Quran says about the Bible is how Jews and Christians “interpret it” and that’s how we corrupt it. It never says something is wrong with the text itself. As most Muslims love to point out. He stated “translations and interpretations” which can be checked by the original language if Muslims really wanted to see the truth 🙂
Muslims HAVE TO SAY the Bible has a “distortion” because if the Bible didn’t, Muhammad and Islam as a whole is false. The claim of the Bible being false can and has been fact checked by manuscripts. Manuscripts earlier than Muhammad’s time of him saying that he comes to confirm these books.
As a Christian I do care about truth.

    Glam,
I’m a Muslim (I follow the Quran Alone), and I would like to open a discussion with you here on UA-cam. My question is this-who is “that prophet” mentioned in Deuteronomy 18:18-19 and John 1:19-21? This is the most important prophecy in the entire Bible.
    Looking forward to your reply.

It’s very simple. In Deuteronomy 18:18-19, “that prophet” was Jesus. In John 1:19-21, John was simply clarifying who He is. It has nothing to do with Muhammad.

At the time of Jesus three personalities were being awaited:
      1. The Christ/Messiah: Jesus
      2. Elijah/Elias: John the Baptist
      3. That Prophet:
John The Baptist was asked the following by the learned:
John 1:19-21 And this is the record of John (John The Baptist), when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, who art thou? And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ. And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
John the Baptist denied that he was the Christ, Elijah, or that prophet.
In the following verses Jesus identifies himself as one of the awaited personalities, The Christ. This is important, because he’s making a claim about himself:
Matthew 16:13-20 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am (means ordinary man)? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist : some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.
In the above verse, both Peter and Jesus identifies Jesus as the Christ. So, one of the three awaited personalities is present and identified, Jesus the Christ/The Messiah.
In the following verses Jesus identifies John the Baptist as Elijah/Elias.
Matthew 17:10-13 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
Matthew 11:11-14 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come.
Up to this point then, two out of the three personalities have been explicitly identified:
      1. Jesus as the Christ/the Messiah.
      2. John the Baptist as Elijah
      Do you agree or disagree?
At the time of Jesus, three distinct personalities were being awaited by learned class. This view is supported by the Gospel of John, which distinguishes between Christ, Elijah, and "that prophet," indicating that during Jesus' time, there remained distinct expectations for these roles. Peter identifies Jesus as the Christ/Messiah, being revealed to him by God, and Jesus corroborates this by self identifying as the Messiah. Additionally, Jesus identifies John The Baptist as Elias/Elijah.
Given the prophecy in Deuteronomy 18:18-19, there is no indication that “that prophet” (Jesus as you claim) would be serving two roles-“that prophet” and The Messiah. Acts, and I’m being generous here, may allude to Jesus being “that prophet”, but Peter does not explicitly state this as a fact, as he did when he identified Jesus as the Christ/Messiah. Again, and this is key, Jesus never identified himself as “that prophet”.
So your claim, scripturally, has no foundation.
      Who, then,...is “that prophet”, Glam?
      Looking forward to your reply.

600 years after Christ there all of a sudden there was a new God. Gotta have my doubts about that.

    1. There is no such thing as “your heart is your truth” people’s hearts can become so polluted their “truth” is traumatizing and detrimental to others. 2. No Muslim as guaranteed salvation 💔. Every simple Muslim lives the best they can try to, and hopefully Allah sees what they are doing and let them in…
In Christianity, Our God does a heart check. ( by the way Islam and Christianity does not serve the same God, research reasons why and it’s very clear) Jesus Christ cares about the heart. Mathew 5 Jesus outlines murder and adultery and states not only is that bad but it’s deeper than that if you have hate in your heart towards your brother you sin. If you look at a woman with lust in your heart you have sinned. It’s a heart thing not only a works thing❤️
