Let’s get wild in this exciting new musical about the infamous author from the mind of Joe Iconis (Be More Chill) and directed by Tony Award winner Christopher Ashley (Come from Away).
A collision of politics, counterculture and rock and roll in human form, Hunter S. Thompson is impossible to pin down. Careening from the 1940s to 2005, Thompson invents Gonzo journalism, attempts to take down a corrupt president, and quests for equality for his fellow weirdos, outsiders and freaks. However, this anti-hero’s drug-fueled tornado leaves a trail of destruction as he grapples with his legacy in a world that has left him behind.
Funny and unique, as anarchic and irreverent as the writer himself, this explosive rock musical will spark a revolution for the rebel inside us all.
Performed by Gabriel Ebert with George Abud, Giovanny Diaz de Leon, Lauren Marcus, Ryan Vona and Jason SweetTooth Williams
Music Direction and Keys - Rick Edinger

Glory unto all of us that we may have access to this transcendent work of art.
I want nothing more than to watch this show every day, forever.
I am crying out into the Hunter Thompson Musical Void, I shall never cease my shouting in praise of this show.
Hell yea! I love that Gabriel is in costume. I wanted to see this so bad when it was playing. I’m hoping Joe gets lucky again and the show gets a cast album! I’ve been waiting since Two Player Game for this!!!!!
(Edit to correct persons)
That's Gabriel Ebert.
@@SethChristenfeld oops. My bad. I know Eric originally played the role but I thought that he looked a little different. So that makes sense. Thanks for letting me know!
No amount of adjectives will convey how great this is. Gabe Ebert, George Abud, Ryan Vona, Giovanni Diaz De Leon, Lauren Marcus, and Jason Sweettooth Williams have descended from the heavens to share with us their godly voices. Not to mention the excellent music provided by Rick Edinger, Joe Iconis, Gerard Canonico, Ian Kagey, and Mike Rosengarten. Superb! Makes me want to pick up Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and read it cover to cover.
Sing, O Muse, of the wonderous Hunter Thompson Musical and the delight it brings.
"Thou shalt be destructive, and paraphrase" is one of my favorite lines from anything.
This miraculous soundtrack will be able to heal injuries it is so good. They will play the Hunter Thompson Musical in hospitals to cure the patients.
Just watch Gabriel Ebert's energy in this one number in a recording studio and imagine how glorious it will be to see the full show on the big stage. The Untitled Unauthorized Hunter S. Thompson Musical will be stunning.
This shall be the best musical ever.
And to think, this is but the opening number, can you envision how glorious, how stellar, how BREATHTAKING the full show will be.
I cannot envision a better musical, Joe Iconis created the pinnacle of what humanity can achieve.
I bow to the great signature theatre for producing such a tour de force of a musical.

Absolutely amazing, Gabriel Ebert has the headphones positioned such that he can wear both them and his hat. I love everything about this video and this show.
Wonderful!
This show will deserve all the awards.
Would that I could go and see it a thousand times.
I have a feeling that when this show closes, it might create a black hole. How can the universe continue to function if this beautiful musical is not being performed?
To me, this is Joe Iconis's Magnum Opus, unparalleled in terms of quality.
