Yeah their body temp is too low for rabies to survive and they can eat their weight in ticks. Great little guys to have around and I wish I had more on my property.
I had one jump in and try hanging out between my ignition coils & Plugs, and on top of my clutch slave actuator. He got the snot zapped out of him very fast (rotaries have 2 plugs per rotor and 0-9000rpm), and he had multiple oppertunities to work my hand over as I tried to help him or her out of their daze. Not even a aggressive growl from them. Totalled the clutch and smashed the pressure plate though. (assisted by brake pressure and they kinked the line, in a non-sexual way)

Being myself Italian i can tell you that the guy pronounced Fiat very well. I agree with you, those are very nice little cars but you must keep the cooling system in tip top shape; they are prone to overheating because of that unfortunate radiator position. The best thing is to replace the radiator all together with a brand new one ;)

His was red, other than that it looks the same, less the poop and opossum. I don't remember the year his was, but it looks the same as yours... He drove it for many years, and may still have it. Timing marks aren't always obvious... Even if you could locate them, you'd have to know which pointer to look at and which Italian abbreviation means what, not to mention the idle advance spec. You can always hand crank the engine with a screwdriver down the spark plug hole and watch when it sparks, but at a certain point it's easier to just play it by ear.
He did what he did and its ok. But its funny cuz i was on a job once and a family kept a dog....cat and possum. He was a friendly guy but they are nocturnal. So they are not active in the day. Thats why it did the possum flop
I've had that happen on a Studebaker that sat for a long time. The easy fix was to jack up the rear end, start the engine, give it some gas, then step on the clutch and pull the handbrake. That broke the clutch loose. It's also advisable to block the front wheels!
