I've heard a few rappers that can touch him on certain points. But I've never heard someone with an over game like Eminem. He seems to be great at rap battle, laying the best verses, making great hooks, making sad, angry, happy songs etc. Most other great rappers naturally aren't fantastic at every aspect like Eminem is.

Cage was underground. Eminem got signed by Dre. But damn, that beef was intense so was the beef with Everlast that shit was wild. I don't know if I'd say "ever". He definitely up there with the best though. I can say with confidence in all my 50 years, I've never seen a battle rapper as good as him though. That's for sure. He is a beat in that department. But if Dre says he's the best he's ever heard period, that says A LOT!
