I loved hearing you talk about CK Escape. I was always a very signature scent sort of girl until around my mid-40's when I really started to get into fragrances. Now I have a ton but a while back I took a little trip down memory lane and wanted to see if some of my old loves were still out there. The one I had to have was Liz Clairborne. Remember the colored triangle bottles? It's a glass triangle now. But I wore that from probably ages 16-25. And I was shocked to find that I still really love it. I wear it to bed a lot and it makes me instantly smile the second I spray it. I love those kinds of scent memories. It's what makes fragrances so special. ❤
Your videos bring me the most joy. 😁Jennifer Lopez Glow brings me joy and happiness because it reminds me of my sister when we were in our early twenties just living life. :). Thank you for mentioning Queen of the Sea and Disney 100. I put them on my list. House of Sillage keeps getting me with the bottles. The old Victoria's Secret fragrances are happiness in a bottle for me. Love Spell is always going to take me back to my carefree teen years; while Dream Angels Desire and Pure Seduction were my happy days as a freshman in college. Very Sexy reminds me of turning 21. Also, Love's Baby Soft (still use it), Coty Exclamation, Armani Mania for Women, Victoria's Secret Endless Love, Bath and Body Works Moonlight Path and Cashmere Glow in the body lotion. I wasn't an Escape girl, but I was certainly a CK One girl. 😁
I don't have a specific favorite set of fragrances that bring me joy but several times a week, when the world becomes too overwhelming (I write political columns for a living), I go to my walk-in closet where I store my perfumes to smell the fragrances I have put on a tray to use that month. After smelling 5-10 I go back to my computer, shoulders back in place 🙂
Girl.Girl!! We talked about Escape before when you covered it. Hoooowwww did we pull this one off in HS? It was my signature scent...I know I oversprayed it and it's still beastmode. And we know its watered down now. Wow. I'm friends with a couple of guys I dated in HS, and one always says, I smell Calvin Klein Escape, I think of Sarah. (He was probably choked out lol, but its a sweet thought) But yeah how did we pull it off. Good memories ❤ with you on the sentiment...

YES to Escape!! It reminds me of being young and wild and free!! Probably singing along with Bryan Adams at the top of our lungs! I also busted a brand new bottle in the box in the floorboard of my brand new Celica GT!! If you didn’t think we were all that you’d believe it if you had to ride in that car with me! I keep a bottle of it just because it makes me happy!!! Living my best carefree life! It’s properly named too! I have similar feelings for the original Lauren in the red cube! I don’t think anything evokes nostalgia like our scent memories! Blvgari Petits et Mamans makes me happy because my entire house,vehicle and clothes smelled like it with my babies!! Precious memories and I know exactly how we smelled looking at the pictures!🥹🥹 Daisy makes me happy too because it was my daughter’s signature scent during her high school years! I paid about $400 a while back...but it is soooo wonderful. (however, I have to admit that I actually like the DUA version better - it lasts a bit longer - Dark Chocolate Rum & Vanilla by DUA) And the Black Opium Over Red is the ONLY Black Opium I like. Anaïs Anaïs and Cabotine to my childhood. Even Escape, that I also love (but doesn't smell good on me). Dolce Amalfi, Libre Intense, Musc Noir Rose, Wanted by Night and Lolitaland always seems to be ones to make me happy. 😁🥰

Oh yes Escape, I used to wear it back in the day🤩🤩. Kindness is everything🙏🙏. I met my fragrance twin in 2020 through a then Facebook group and little did I know that we were practically neighbours🥰🥰. We’ve been having fragrance breakfasts/lunches where we swap decants and also attend fragrance events together ever since🥰🥰. Love this video concept👌👌. Stay gorgeous 🥰🥰

I encourage you to try the original if you can. It really dances on skin. I have since sold off almost all of my Dua collection. I appreciate what they offer, but so many were different enough from their dupes that they didn't scratch the itch.
Erba Gold, yes! It is my feel-good fragrance, too! Dior Escale a Portofino takes me to my trip to Greece a couple years ago. Tauer Golestan smells like the color yellow to me, which triggers the feeling of joy, and I love to admire the artwork of the bottle. Dior Joy Intense (pretty self-explanatory) and Versace Vanitas was my wedding scent. 💛💛💛
Amazing how people smell differently. I just got Minnie 100 and to me it smells like a sweet juicy apple 🍏 Fresh tart fragrance. Very similar to Eden Apple by Kayali. I pick up a little violet and it smells like the color purple. I didn’t get the blueberry 🫐 you’re picking up 😊
White Shoulders-the only perfume my mom has ever worn and the smell of it just brings me joy when I smell it. Sung-my first perfume love-still makes me happy when I pull it out. Most recently it’s been Blond Jasmine (Carolina Herrera), which is happy in a bottle for me! Loved your reminiscences of some of your scents. And yes, it’s always a good reminder that there are wonderful people in the world, despite what we see/hear on the news. 😊

Hello! They are different to me. I much prefer the smoother strawberry and soft leather in Venom Incarnat. It leans more fruity and feminine IMO but with a solid backbone.
I loved this topic and your pics❤ I remember Escape from back in the day, but can’t remember what it smelled like. A nostalgic fragrance that always makes me smile is Estee Lauder’s White Linen. My mom used to wear it, and once I was old enough, I started wearing it❤ I currently have about a drop of Nirvana White, which reminds me of it as well.

For me chance the original EDT takes me back to my late twenties It was an evening scent for me I wore it for dinners and formal events it was my dressed up perfume. I don''t love patchouli much but Chance was the only Chanel that I loved, I have it no but I don't ware it anymore.

I loved this video as I do the same…. Go on a little sniffing safari around my collection. Bizarrely this also includes a bar of coal tar soap that reminds me of a riding (horseback as you would say) holiday on the Welsh border with England as a child. Me and my best friend were dropped off for a week there instead of going on a French exchange (school thing). There was no hot water and we only had coal tar soap but the holiday was wonderful on a hot summer week galloping around on horses in the beautiful countryside. The soap smells like hot tarmac (asphalt) and I love it! I know I sound like something from the Victorian era but it was in fact the eighties 😅

At 17:15 OMG! I wore Calvin Klein "Escape" from 1992-1995 [all of the time] when I would go bar hopping and nightclubbing. It and CHANEL "Egoiste" (not the Platinum.. the OG) were my "go to" fragrances back then 😮 ❤🎉
I recently smelled CK Obsession at Macy's afternot having smelled it in 20+ years.. and I can see why it was so popular and groundbreaking. It came out in 1985. CK Eternity was also very popular and it came out in 1988. Thank you for mentioning Escape ❤

And the Black Opium Over Red is the ONLY Black Opium I like. It is really different.

I bought DUA version of coquin gourmand among other DUA scents for ones I couldn’t find. I didn’t like any of them. Wasted $$$.
I encourage you to try the original if you can. It really dances on skin. I have since sold off almost all of my Dua collection. I appreciate what they offer, but so many were different enough from their dupes that they didn't scratch the itch.

Erba Gold, yes! It is my feel-good fragrance, too! Dior Escale a Portofino takes me to my trip to Greece a couple years ago. Tauer Golestan smells like the color yellow to me, which triggers the feeling of joy, and I love to admire the artwork of the bottle. Dior Joy Intense (pretty self-explanatory) and Versace Vanitas was my wedding scent. 💛💛💛

Amazing how people smell differently. I just got Minnie 100 and to me it smells like a sweet juicy apple 🍏 Fresh tart fragrance. Very similar to Eden Apple by Kayali. I pick up a little violet and it smells like the color purple. I didn’t get the blueberry 🫐 you’re picking up 😊

White Shoulders-the only perfume my mom has ever worn and the smell of it just brings me joy when I smell it. Sung-my first perfume love-still makes me happy when I pull it out. Most recently it’s been Blond Jasmine (Carolina Herrera), which is happy in a bottle for me! Loved your reminiscences of some of your scents. And yes, it’s always a good reminder that there are wonderful people in the world, despite what we see/hear on the news. 😊

Hello! They are different to me. I much prefer the smoother strawberry and soft leather in Venom Incarnat. It leans more fruity and feminine IMO but with a solid backbone.

Bizarrely this also includes a bar of coal tar soap that reminds me of a riding (horseback as you would say) holiday on the Welsh border with England as a child. Me and my best friend were dropped off for a week there instead of going on a French exchange (school thing). There was no hot water and we only had coal tar soap but the holiday was wonderful on a hot summer week galloping around on horses in the beautiful countryside. The soap smells like hot tarmac (asphalt) and I love it! I know I sound like something from the Victorian era but it was in fact the eighties 😅

At 17:15 OMG! I wore Calvin Klein "Escape" from 1992-1995 [all of the time] when I would go bar hopping and nightclubbing. It and CHANEL "Egoiste" (not the Platinum.. the OG) were my "go to" fragrances back then 😮 ❤🎉
Escape was $40 for 50ml and $70 for 100ml. Same with Egoiste 😊
No kidding! 😲 Escape was a great clubbing fragrance! Those prices probably felt high back in the day, too. Now that's considered a bargain!
I recently smelled CK Obsession at Macy's afternot having smelled it in 20+ years.. and I can see why it was so popular and groundbreaking. It came out in 1985. CK Eternity was also very popular and it came out in 1988. Thank you for mentioning Escape ❤
