I have a few questions here I hope someone can clarify me : First how could he travel to San Diego while he was out on bail? As I know, someone who is out on bail is not allowed to cross state. So if he is using a different identity how could police place him in the incidence spot. The car involved in an accident doesn't mean that he was the driver. Secondly, how can he be freed even with the physical finger print evidence that matches him? She couldn't identify him due to his mask and lack of lighting but that's okay since the physical evidence is more important than that. Still why couldn't they charge him?
They did charge him and the case was set to got to trial and that's why he killed her. Also, the trip from San Francisco to San Diego is not crossing state lines.
Shawn Carter. Secondly, Investigators and prosecutors couldn’t charge this perpetrator, David Frediani, because at that time, DNA didn’t exists and if they performed any kind of testing on Helena Greenwood’s nails, it would have destroyed the little evidence they had, which later on, when DNA was available, proved to convict this murderer. This is why David Frediani couldn’t get convicted in the first place…..only after the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) was available, this man was convicted. PCR is a type of testing that duplicates very tiny, almost invisible to the human eyes blood specks making it possible to test and get DNA results.

I have a few questions here I hope someone can clarify me :
First how could he travel to San Diego while he was out on bail?
First, San Diego is located INSIDE the state of California, this is how David Frediani traveled from San Francisco to San Diego.
@@zuzellogan5613 I'm so happy people like yourself actually LISTEN to the details of the story!!!
(Meanwhile, someone in the comments is always confused😖)

Can someone please help me understand how it took 10 years for investigators to notice that Frediani had been in a traffic accident in Southern California just days before this poor woman’s murder???
Common Policework
Yes Peter Thomas knew forensic files. Would be on. Forever❤❤🎉🎉🎉
This is what I listen to every night to fall asleep for the past 4 years ... !!!!
Victim's friend: 1
Local law enforcement: 0
Why did they let him out on bond if it wasn't for that the murder probably wouldn't have happened...
Poor Girl
They missed the teapot. Wow
There’s something to be said for having speedy trials ….. the time period between the arraignment and trial allowed the killer to track down his victim ….
Hot tea kettle on window sill? Weird
Hey @Travis Smith - Video did not state the tea kettle was "hot." Do you read into things much in daily life, too??
Very interesting. I love the deceaseds name.❤ Helena Greenwood. Her name is so PRETTY. PRETTY like a tiger.💛
Such beautiful lady .
Damn shame!
And intelligent. RIP
Peter Thomas is the sandman
"Peter Thomas" was the heart of "The Forensic Files".
Why did they name this episode "nailed" 🤣
Cos he got nailed with science she was working on lol
This alibi of being 500 hundred miles away should not make us believe that the suspect cannot take a small plane somewhere and land anywhere after one hour of committing the murder.
*Scorsese
@@stfuplsok DONE, thankies.
It's like Robert Kennedy's alibi that he wasn't involved in Marilyn Monroe's murder. He was in SF, and she was in LA area. But there are reports of him arriving at a small airport and people in the area saw him near her house that night. He was very distinctive so there are not many people who look like RFK!
@@mysterywriter888 yes.
He is serving a sentence of life without the possibility of parole.
I remember watching this when I was like 11
This episode need 4 more views then it hits 1 million

many crimes will never be solved in the far east portion of the globe.
21:13 not only did she testify posthumously, she also helped to develop the very DNA testing that ended up solving her own murder!
Goosebumps!!!!!
Even if I hadn't watched the video , and only just saw his picture at 18:07, I knew something was wrong with his eyes. evil!
