I can't just say it takes one month of brushing to get waves on the top, and another three to get waves on the sides and back. Takes roughly 3 months for connected 360 waves.. Least mine did..but learnt a lot from this guy cos I was brushing my hair wrong for a very long time until I started brushing that sides diagonally for true connected 360 waves. My waves 🌊 r about 75% done but it's been 3 months since I started but it really depends on ur type of hair on how long it will take u to get em

Coarse hair needs to Wolf period. Hard brush only. Wet brush every shower. Thick palmade on short hair often to keep hair in place so you can continue to curl it, you want to stretch your hair. Sort of like making the curly strings on balloons with a knife. Brush hard and often. 2 months hard, take it down a little, small baby afro, but never all off, enough to get the brush through. 247 durag cuz this stage ain't pretty. Do it until you can run your fingers through or by brush and you can feel the waves before you cut and start high, the moment you see waves stop cutting! Then do it all again, you should still have a lot of hair somewhat, not your final form, babyish fro with ripples. Full Cut early only set you back. Brush and wolf until you can't take it anymore. Wolf only work if you brush hard and often. If u neglect it becomes almost impossible to brush back, durag has matted the new growth and u fail.
I had waves but mind where just on the top this helped a lot

I remember coming here months ago to find out, get a good brush and keep brushing you do not even need products. Medium brush, moisturizer such as olive oil or argan oil. Every two- five days add moisturizer. keep brushing especially after a cut and do not wash hair. Sleep with durag and after your first haircut unless you been brushing a lot you will get waves. After my second haircut, i was using a fufu diane 8119 (was softer than a 8169) and i had waves everyone except on sides because sides had ripples and I wasnt even up to the point where i should cut my hair. I hav curly hair shoutout to all the curly hair bros.
I wouldn't be surprised if u start seeing waves after the first 2/3 weeks...!

how to get waves. if you have hard hair damp hair and apply wave products. brush the product in the pattern that you want your waves, use durag. wolf hair for atleast two months. get cut and you will have waves

Someone help but for 4 years I had braids and I cut them off two years ago and started to get waves my waves are fine and are in point but my headline Is kinda far back. No body else can really see but I can and I HATE IT!!! It's only been like this for about two months and I don't know if the braids pulled in my hair or if my barber just took me back but any tips would be nice. Also it's only about a fourth of an inch back.

Hey Sam Taime You don't need a rag to get waves. All you need is a brush. IF you have a brush and you brush your hair every day, you will be able to get waves. All you need to get waves is a brush, all the other things just help you get waves faster.

Also I have a WAV enforcer brush that has great spacing but its a soft brush i also have a hard brush that's worn out which one should i use just got a fresh cut

Hey nbalive2012 I would go 540 but not 720. I feel like 720s are a nice pattern but for people with thicker hair textures. Also I feel I get a lot of recognition man. Do a search for "How to get 360 waves" on UA-cam or Google and I pop up like #1 on the list. Not even bragging it just shows the work I put in man. I've been following the whole brush, durag,etc process for a grand total of a walloping week! Lol I know thats not that long. But I have always struggled with getting waves anywhere but the top of my head. Recently I've been applying more time to the back and sides,but I see barely any progress(I brush the sides at an angle forward/downwards, back from crown down, top from crown forward. Is that correct?) I have very course hair and gotta fight to keep my hair not looking nappy throughout the day when my hair is grown out a bit. Do you recommend I brush at certain time while I'm at school? I've also gone about 3 weeks without a cut so I guess ill just wolf it out for some more weeks. Though for me the more my hair grows out the lesser the minor waves I have now show. Any suggestions? Nice vids.
