Even with the AI tools, you need to be a good musician to make art and to know when you found something worthy and then create a piece that touches people feelings. Is like photography, anyone can make a decent picture but not everyone can make a good picture.

Agreed. Where do we reach some consensus on whether a piece of work possesses QUALITY , whether it is worthy of our attention. Certainly people are touched by particular arrangements of sound and composition, yet we live in an Age where an awful lot of soulless dross is venerated in the name of easily digestible and effortlessly marketed product. that exponents of evolving technology increasingly pays lip service to as an example of the sort of product their technology can provide.

Besides the brief but comprehensive history of hip hop and computer music. Which was impeccable btw.
What really impressed me about this video, was all the cut and paste style video editing. Such diverse subliminal, only one or two seconds some of them. All placed meticulously to perfectly match the narative audio.
I for one know exactly how much hard work and time went into this production. Just collecting all the video clips, and then turning them into useable samples, is time consuming enough. But then putting the whole thing together in an editor, and sequencing all the samples perfectly, is yet another arduous task, even for just 10 or 15 mins worth of content.
Nobody really seems to appreciate the workload involved. They just watch it, and say "yeah, that was cool". Or whatever. But nobody stops to think. Every single one of those 2-3 sec video samples have been crafted and perfectly placed, to bring the whole thing together.
I'm very impressed, and you just got a new sub. I'm fascinated with AI, and this work you are using it for now, music creation. Is just one aspect to AI. Its such an exciting world to be a part of. And we are only just at the beginning. The AI workd beckons.

How did it hit my eardrums? using digital signal processing and pulse code modulation, an analog direct current signal induced a voltage variation which mimics amplitude and frequency variations over linear time to push and pull a magnetic coil coupled physically to a dynamic membrane, mounted to a housing, and generated an electronic magnetic field which pushes and pulls the air very rapidly, causing forward propegating pressure waves. Air molecules collided until some of those molecules made contact with my eardrum. that's how.

    • @DigitalBard1
      @DigitalBard1 8 місяців тому +4

@@alvarotaranta I think you have a misconception as to what art really is.
Art is not the finished product. Its the creative process itself. The final result is a mere by-product of all the time, energy and creative flow, that was put into it.
And when it comes to the final "Art piece".
Then it is usually left open to the interpretation of the observer, as to its true meaning. The artist often leaves the true meaning deliberately ambiguous, for maximum effect.
I don't see any of that being destroyed by AI, in fact it is being used as very useful tool, to accelerate efficiency and ease of work flow.
If you want to talk about destruction of art. You wanna talk to the governments of the world, who deliberately stifled the arts and culture departments within the education systems, and put a massive bias onto subjects more suited to industry, such as Mathematics, science and technology.
AI is very late to the party, and is being scape goated for a problem of lack of artistic flair within society, brought on by an industrialised mindset. Which was set into motion way before AI was even a concept.
And by the way. Quick question.
      Are you an artist yourself?

Great video, awesome work! The editing style is on point too, and your voice is so calming. The vintage VHS vibe + videos distorted to look like AI (is that what it is?)

I think the videos in the end music video are AI generated and prompted to look vintage.

......very interesting concept. Me being an old fart, I can remember music that defined our youth. Dub and Acid house music was a brief but important time. Huge parties in abandoned warehouses. Wonderful memories. Good luck with AI.....🙂

This is cool, but as a consumer, I wouldn’t wanna listen to music like this - it still needs more of a human touch

You're already listening to it lmao. Most products are "hotdogs". There is a lot that goes into it that you wouldn't want to really know about but it tastes good and sells.

@@houseofvenusMD I’m not listening to solely music made by AI, maybe someone used a tool somewhere in the process (“human touch”) but I don’t think AI music has gotten far enough to make a comprehensive piece on its own

Amazing work as usual. I was missing the whole break-beat and dance scene from the 90s in your historical section. Artists like Fatboy slim, The Chemical brothers and Daft Punk undoubtedly elevated the art of sampling to new levels... LOVE your channel man, keep up the great work!!

    • @airfixx_8952

The CBs & FBS didn't do anything in terms of sampling that wasn't already being done in the 80s...... Even with DP it was just using smaller chunks and experimenting with pitch; things that their influences had already been doing. The evolution of sampling is largely down to the evolution of the technology itself....And as computers came into play; the availability of 'unlimited' sampling time and processing power.
