Today was a rough and tough day in Pokemon GO. Our shiny Pokemon rng was not there.
We have some rare spawns available during this 6 hour Pokémon event. Phantump and Galarian Meowth spawning off the incense.

I have been noticing, and much more evident with all the Mareanie catching, that throws seem to be a lot more erratic and mons are just not catching easily. I'm struggling with landing good curveball throws and it's not helpful to catch at all. It seems worse with attempts to fast catch as well which isn't a great sign.
It's much harder too throw even a great throw
I played all six hours stationary and got zero Shinies. Incense days used to be better back in the day.
It's cause u was stationary in a game designed for u too move... under a hour I got a 2 shiny
there was that little boost for stationary incense, but defo the old days were better for this event! Feeling your lack of shiny pain
I also got 0 shinies over the 6 hours. Ferroseed did not feel shiny boosted at all. Really not keen on these incense events
Was definitely boosted bud... under a hour too play only caught around 20 n got a shiny quick also shiny shieldon in under a hour

@@robro498 that's unfortunate...not sure how u didn't get any...1st 15 minutes I got shiny shieldon n within a hour all together I got the shiny ferra...u have too remember also it's boosted shiny but not boosted like a com day
feeling that pain! Ferroseed didn't feel boosted for me either, but some others rng was good.
Hope they change the incense day structure in the future!
boosted spawn yes, boosted shiny however. Comes down to rng, as you saw I didn't get any but doesn't mean it wasn't the boosted 1/125 or so
Damn.. also 0 shinies here, caught about 120 ferroseed
Hard too believe u caught that many n no shiny caught like 20 played less then a hour n got a shiny ferra n a shiny shieldon
Boosted odds was a lie.i caught 1 shiny but still I did 200 catches

I was very lucky I got 3 shiny ferroseed and a shiny 96% galarian meowth

5 shiny ferroseed, 1 shiny stunky, 1 shiny galarian meowth - 3x 3rd place showcases for ferroseed no xls or xxls sadly - 15km walk across 4-5 hours. I also spotted Moltres with my daily incense but he ran away, fortunately already luckily caught Moltres with much higher CP but still cool to see. The event was a little lack luster compared to others i felt but it was truly a disaster for you, they need to improve incense days significantly

Played 6 hrs with 3 people, we saw 5 shinies between the 3 of us. 2 got away because of that AR glitch 😂
That AR glitch really was the icing on the cake for this event haha

Agree completely with your summary - flee rates were too high and shiny boost did not exist - don't know anyone that caught the shiny ferroseed on the day - wasted so much resource but more importantly lost my personal time just to be very frustrated
it's the time you put in to these events, I completely agree. Can be very discouraging
Watching this, I'm glad I didn't waste my time with it. I threw one Incense down (stationary), and caught like maybe 13 Pokemon passively.
Instead I spent the day doing my Dragon's Quest 11 LP, which was a much better use of my time. I have no FOMO from this event now, lol.

Played the whole six hours and was able to get two shiny Ferroseeds (out of 64 Ferroseed encounters for that period), a shiny Chansey, and a shiny Croagunk.

Played the entire time. Had lots of being kicked out of my game and quite a lot of freezing. One of the hour I was getting no ferros at all! 0 shiny except 1 shiny tentacool 🤔 will not bother with an insense day again!
I had no shinies over the six hours, I hatched a shiny but that’s it, really wanted galarian meowth shiny, saw people in our group get three in total, one person got the family!! Dreadful event
This event was AWFUL for me. No shiy Pokemon, no hundos, and barely any 3 star pokemon. Thankfully, I live on top of a pokestop and could farm resources, but I went on 2 long walks (during a crazy heat wave) with nothing to show for it. I agree that this event gets a big thumb down. It sucks too because I've just started getting back into the game and this event is reminding me why I quit 💀
played for 3 damned hours only, 3 incense and a big '0' shiny. My partner played the whole event and only managed to catch a big 1 freaking shiny. THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCAMMED OF ALL TIME BY NIANTIC. SHAME ON YOU.
Managed to catch a shiny Nosepass before the event on a morning walk to breakfast and coffee. Then... NOTHING. All day long... Until 4pm and my luck changed.. from 4-5pl I caught a shiny Ferroseed, Grimer, and Growlithe. I was happy once I reviewed everything for the day and appraisals were finished 4 shinies all day well as some decent 3*s... I'm good!
I caught 1 Shiny Ferroseed and a random Shiny Jynx. Didn't get a Shiny Galarian Meowth, Hisuian Voltorb, Petelil, and Morelull but at least I got one Shiny Ferroseed! ✨
Actually I GAINED a lot of balls I lost from doing the quests that rewarded Greats and Ultras. I was only catching using the red balls I had and rarely ever used the stronger ones because I wanted to build up on the resources again for the next community day, which proved very successful. That and 2 Ferroseeds! I was really hoping to get the Galarian Meowth, but none of them were shiny.
And as far as the whole event goes, very meh and unfortunately overall a waste of time. 6 hours to essentially just get nothing is ludicrous to me.
Big event fail from Niantic. Got 2 shiny G Meowth and 1 H Voltorb. ZERO shiny Ferroseed on Ferroseed Incense day. What a joke.
I was bus grinding for the first 3 hours and only managed 1 off brand shiny. Caught two shiny Ferroseeds whilst in Walpole for over the next two hours. Then manage 4! Off brand shinies on the way home?! Niantic must have heard me moaning through the phone.
Sorry you had such poor RNG, Incensed Days really are a gamble and with no way to influence the outcome (through extra effort). it's disheartening.

Literally it was absolutely quite putrid , I’ve also gotten ZERO shinies and caught like 100+ Ferroseed smh totally awful
Incense days should be scraped it was a lockdown event, which back then odds seemed about 1/64, I only played from 12-1pm and tbh when galar Meowth wasn't showing up in abundance I just called it a day, I was gonna try again for the last hour but with the delay of the Monaco GP I just couldn't be bothered and looks like I made the right choice, I'm glad I already had the shiny family completed on Ferroseed, I only played it for Galar Meowth like you need 1 more but there's always another time
Fortunately I had better luck. I played 5 hours, got 2 shiny ferroseed, 1 shiny meowth and a shiny phantump.
I had a decent day tbf. 2 galar meowth, a ferroseed, gastly, tentacool, Lickitung and a spinda shiny wise. I did lose 2 shiny ferroseed and a Kanto meowth to the plus+ aswell unfortunately 😭
I got 3 shiny bomb seeds and a shiny shieldon ✨️
But it took about 3 hours give or take.. wasn't overly impressed with the day.. ended up getting bored and going home. 😴
I also have felt it a bit harder to catch things etc. Thought I was soft banned for a few! LOL
If you didn’t see my comment in your discord then I’ll simplify my time yesterday: the whole thing was a complete waste of my time & a waste of a day. I was playing since 10am & (thankfully had a rugby game later in the evening) so I called it at 3:30pm.
Played all day walked and even drove at a steady pace through the neighborhoods for over an hour. Nothing. Not one shiny. Two people I was with caught 2 shiny ferroseed each. Very crap event. All depends on how boosted they make it which apparently they don't. All day and nothing so I'm pretty bummed.
I got two shiny Ferroseed, also Mareanie, Spoink on my daily incense, Oricorio and Illumise.
I clicked the ar+ button on the second shiny and got the game breaking freeze so lost it.
Best today was winning 2 showcases ...2shinys which i had better ones already 😅

It wasn’t just you. Nerfantic gave all the Pokémon speed or something. Imo, they do it deliberately so we waste resources, simple as that.
Was very lucky got 2 shiny Ferroseed played from home loved the stationary incense boost very handy especially with the constant rain up here in Scotland! Would love to join you for raid hour on Wednesday

Didn’t even see one shiny. Felt like regular odds. And there weren’t popping up as frequently as expected. Very disappointed.
I did 7 hours of walking. Around 900 catches and one feroseed and a stunky 💀(I have 6 stunky’s) pretty trash luck
I got 5 shiny ferroseed, even with game crushing 10 times during the event. (Could be because of the hot weather, but still).
Didnt get the main goal - galar meowth, but that is fine.😅

I got one 1 shiny ferroseed and 1 shiny petilil both in the first hr, and then NOTHING the rest of the event. If I knew I wouldn’t get anything else after that I woulda stopped and saved myself the exhaustion
Shiny rates was horrible I caught one shiny couldn’t pop stardust like I wanted to only got the 500 stardust Pokemon like 5 times
Today was not fun. I usually have insane luck, but no luck today and everything kept popping out over and over again!
Seemed messed up in my area. First 2 hours it was backward and no ferroseeds. Ferroseeds didn’t start really showing up till after 2pm. Got about 65 Ferroseeds no shiny
Hi Milo! After watching your live stream I did not have high hopes. And at the park I met with a friend who had been playing all day, he just got one. I felt fortunate to get just one near the end of the day, a zero star, nothing special, but my only one, so I was thrilled anyway!
i was at a festival so i got about 6 ferroseeds in general (no shinies), didnt know it was even a 6 hour event (thought it was 2-5)? if i knew it started at 11 i would have been able to play from 11-1 at least!! dammit :(
Same here. 4 incense and 4.5 hours, only about 60 ferroseed spawned, no shiney. Niantic scam to make everyone buy extra incense.
i been going hard, just evolved my zygard , done with those routes. so skipped this event, i only played 1 hour because of the free incense did like 40 catches and nothing. good luck
I had a shiny ferroseed at around 60 checks, caught 116 had a few run away but that's it. Didn't get a shiny skorupi from that incense day tho :/
It has gotten a lot more difficult to catch the pokemon, meaning that I burn through more inventory, and get fewer points and catch fewer pokemon.
It also seems that the USA gets more shinys, I base this on watching the american content providers.

This event was so frustrating. I complained the entire time. I had to stop playing because it was not fun, it was irritating, and unproductive.
Played about 4 hours got 0 shiny, 2 bad suiccunes and my Pokédex wiglett. And a slight sunburn
Lol idk i could only play an hour within 20 mins got shiny shieldon n under a hour got shiny ferra didn't even catch 20 of them...not sure how u didn't get any... also u should already know this u don't use gold raz for ferra there too easy too catch with a nanaberry
This event was so trash.. went to a busy local area with loads of spawns and stops. Played for the whole 6 hours and while running incense and had less then 40 spawn in and only 1 shiny encounter and 1 shiny clamperl. By far the most disappointing event and waste of 6 hours!
See ur live yesterday, this incense day isnt worth it for playing may be next time i will skip this event cus 5 hour only 2 shiny Ferraseed , For real Niantic?? 🙂
I'm so annoyed I swear that the "boosted odds" were hardly fucking boosted. its so boring when they almost blatantly lie.
It was an obvious event on niantic part. they are so obviously testing the community and gauging what we find worth spending time on for as little reward as possible. They see this as a win if a lot of people played the full event I’m sure there glad with just how many people opened the game during the hours
Ferroseed incense day was a joke walked for 3hrs and caught only 17 Ferroseeds with 0 shinies Niantic needs to stop spawning other pokemons from the incense
I did get 3 shiny ferroseed, 2 were back to back within the last 10 minutes of the day.
Played at home.
I caught mine at 456 pm on stream and it was the only one I got and it was so bad iv also no shiny mareanie
I started 15 minutes before the end and got a shiny on the third spawn. Something was glitching for you.
Not even in this event I've noticed in the last few weeks everything has become more erratic to catch they've definitely tweaked something in game and given some of the spawns in this event were already high attack themed it just made it all the more garbage

Got the first three during the first two hours, went home after that, and closed the game. Only to reopen the game roughly two hours later to check and find the fourth.

This event was terrible. I caught 60+ Ferroseed and of 500 other Pokemon hatched 29 eggs. Used Daily Adventurer and standard incense. Palkia REN on the whole event and i only picked up a SHINY Spearow and Bonzor. This event was a bust. POGO is dying

Lately the overall catch rate of pokemon of all types have decreased.
