- The prominent Shia lecturer Ammar Nakshawani insulted the companion of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and second khalifa Umar ibn al-Khattab (ra) during a recent appearance on Safeer TV.
He's not speaking of his own accord. He's speaking of narrations found in Sunni books. And if Sunni books project Umar to be a troll, who can deny it really?
WHEN the enemies of Islam heard the name of Umar, their knees would tremble. When Satan saw Umar walking down the street, he would turn the other way. Even Umar’s friends would sometimes find his presence intimidating, and they too feared his anger. However, this man of strength and power, cried easily, and had a soft and compassionate heart. Umar was humble without being weak. Umar combined two opposing character traits and that made him unique amongst the men around Prophet Muhammad (mercy and blessing of Allah be upon him). Umar’s path to the truth began with a vehement hatred of Muhammad and the religion of Islam but that hatred soon turned into a fierce love. Umar ibn Al Khattab strengthened Islam.

May ALLAH's punish those who did not and still do not pay attention to these verses of surah waqa'ah(event) which says:
a. (56:75) No! I swear by the positions of the stars - remember there are billions of stars and in every moments they are in a unique position
b. (56:76) and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew -
c. (56:77) that this indeed is a noble Qur'an - lets put some emphasis on this verse: that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, that this indeed is a noble Qur'an
d. (56:78) inscribed in a well-guarded Book wow it is hidden it is hidden, it is concealed, it is not visible, it is masked, it is kept secret it is veiled. YES you may understand couple things here or there when it does talk to you but to know its whole reality is a different story....
e. (56:79) which none but the purified ones may touch (understand the secrets of its contents and can reveal its secrets) meaning of the noble Quran - in the same way that messenger of ALLAH whose teacher was ALLAH was informed about all its content by ALLAH swt, so he could guide people from darkness to the light - was shown all the stories and miracles and events, and the circumstances surrounding those event. And knowing those people and why they had such capabilities and miracles and short comings. knowing why Musa and Isa were able to performed such miracles. It does not mean just because you made a wudu you understand the whole content. Prophet (sawa) was able to ask them (previous messengers): Sahih International: And ask those We sent before you of Our messengers; have We made besides the Most Merciful deities to be worshipped? 43:45
f. (56:80) a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. YES ALL FROM ALLAH THE ALMIGHTY THE ULTIMATE TRUTH AND DESTINY
g. (56:81) Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, Meaning YOU DO NOT GIVE IT ITS PROPER IMPORTANCE AND YOU TAKE THE WORD OF ABDULLAH SON OF ABU QUHUFA (KNOWN AS ABU BAKR) UPON DAUGHTER OF MESSENGER OF ALLAH ONE WHO IS PURIFIED BY ALLAH????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

@@MediRen According to usool al-kafi, the shia apply taqiyyah when dealing with sunnis as well. They have a narration in which it says taqiyyah is 9/10 of the religion. In regular Sunni Islam, we don't have the term taqiyyah. You have the choice to conceal your religion if you feel it will be a serious risk if your religious Identity is made apparent.

On a serious note reflection (also to include researching what we are taught) is encouraged in Islam so we know what we follow in order to be the best Muslims we can be…. The history book Muruj al Dhahab of Mas'udi 2:307, a historian and geographer, says when Ali was informed of what happened, he told Abu Bakr "You ruined our affairs... and you did not give us our rights." Abu Bakr replied, "Yes, because I feared discord (fitnah)."
Umar called Ali a refrainer from pledging allegiance. When Abu Bakr sent his freedman Qunfudh to ask Ali to come to them, Ali said Abu Bakr and Umar append lies to Rasoolallah. See:

The Prophet recommended Ali fight for his rights if he could find 40 men who would pledge allegiance to him. Only four or five individuals showed. They were Zubayr, Miqdad, Abu Dharr, and Salman. See:

I actually don't know about the second hadith but the first one I have heard of something similar to it since I was young, but that Shia guy manipluated it to fit his narrative. The Hadith is about Umar(r.a) being fierce with a strong stance and no nonsense approach especially when it comes to matters petaining Islam. Here this one of the hadith that is similar.
Once `Umar asked leave to see Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) in whose company there were some Quraishi women who were talking to him and asking him for more financial support raising their voices. When `Umar asked permission to enter, the women got up (quickly) hurrying to the screen. When Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) admitted `Umar, Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) was smiling, `Umar asked, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! May Allah keep you in happiness always.” Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “I am astonished at these women who were with me. As soon as they heard your voice, they hastened to the screen.” `Umar said, “O Allah’s Apostle! You have more right to be feared by them.” Then he addressed (those women) saying, “O enemies of your own souls! Do you fear me and not Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) ?” They replied. “Yes, for you are a harsh and fierce man as compared with Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ).” On that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said (to `Umar), “By Him in Whose Hands my life is, whenever Satan sees you taking a path, he follows a path other than yours.”

The dearest person for us is your father and after his it is you; but I swear to Allah that this affection cannot prevent from ordering to burn the house down if these people get together again in your house.
He said these words and leave there. When Ali (a.s.) and Zubayr returned home, honorable daughter of Prophet (s.a.) told them: Omar came to me and swore to Allah to burn this house on you if your congregation repeats. Swear to Allah! He will do the thing that he has sworn!.

How can Prophet (saw) say anything useless when Allah in Quran says that he never speaks on his own, he says what Allah wants him to say. Holy Prophet (saw) ordered Omar to get out when he said such thing. Holy Prophet (saw) was just asking for a pen and paper to write such a thing because of which the Muslims wouldn't go astray , so what was the reason for Umar (Ra) to not to listen the Holy Prophet (saw) . Maula Ali (as) and many other companions were present their so An argument began, some companions including Imam Ali (as) said that do what Prophet (saw) has said, but some other people including Abu bakr said do what Omar had said. Please read the full incident in Sunni books and also the Full Incident in Shia books that surely sunni scholars censored in their books. Sunni scholars have censored many things which supported Ahlebait and were against their enemies and tyrants.

b. (56:76) and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew -
c. (56:77) that this indeed is a noble Qur'an - lets put some emphasis on this verse: that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, that this indeed is a noble Qur'an
d. (56:78) inscribed in a well-guarded Book wow it is hidden it is hidden, it is concealed, it is not visible, it is masked, it is kept secret it is veiled. YES you may understand couple things here or there when it does talk to you but to know its whole reality is a different story....

(56:79) which none but the purified ones may touch (understand the secrets of its contents and can reveal its secrets) meaning of the noble Quran - in the same way that messenger of ALLAH whose teacher was ALLAH was informed about all its content by ALLAH swt, so he could guide people from darkness to the light - was shown all the stories and miracles and events, and the circumstances surrounding those event. And knowing those people and why they had such capabilities and miracles and short comings. knowing why Musa and Isa were able to performed such miracles. It does not mean just because you made a wudu you understand the whole content. Prophet (sawa) was able to ask them (previous messengers): Sahih International: And ask those We sent before you of Our messengers; have We made besides the Most Merciful deities to be worshipped? 43:45
