I really need to read Lonesome Dove. I’ve not heard one person say they disliked it. Good to see you!

Highly recommended Stoner. One of the best books I’ve ever read. Best book read by me so far

I can relate to getting immersed in religious and religious-contemplative-philosophy books. A while back, I read Plotinus' Enneads for two months solid. It deserves multiple reads, or maybe a little bit every day.
I have to thank you for your review of Demon Copperhead. I nearly DNF'ed it halfway through but was glad when I finished. Not my favourite reading experience, but the author redeemed herself at the end. Lol

Have you tried John Irving, I get the feeling you would enjoy the black humour. Best known are The World according to Garp, and Cider House Rules, both of which are a good starting point.

Love Hilda. Luke Pearson is a genius. I also read Lonesome Dove this year. It is awesome and bleak.
