Welcome to Colorado!, with the snow pack we had this year I'm surprised the trail was that open. Glad you made it backing down the hill. And, there are more snowbanks from there on up over the top. You made the right decision.

@50milesfromnowhere66 Very late opening on many of the passes this year because of this past winters heavy snow. I really failed to show how much snow was behind that initial snowbank but It was a lot.

Be careful about taking directions from strangers in the middle of the hills 😂

I’ve been where you were bro, not on that trail but another pass in Colorado and I only like seeing the mountains from a distance now 😂

Not sure where “deadliest” comes from. That’s slightly above a beginner trail here in Colorado. Families in Subarus drive it for picnics.

You got all the way to where you said you were blocked and never got out or droned the area or walked it, to really show what it looked like. From what you showed, it looked like maybe 10 foot stretch of road that you could have drove across in 4 wheel drive? I am sure it was worse that it appeared.. better to be safe than sorry! :)

@amirchar I definitely failed to show the immensity of the snow pack up there. My mistake. Should have spent more time up at the top getting footage. I was pretty frazzled when I realized what I had to do next. I'd love to have a 2nd chance to get more footage of the snow drift but I would pass on having to back down off that mountain again. lol
