Today its time to fly out the Ta 152 in a Realistic Battle. Flew out with the Ta 152 H-1 yesterday for the first time since release of 1.69, Regia Aeronautica. And found out exactly what this plane is about, lets see how it went. Hope you enjoy :)

Hey guys, today i have the German Ta 152 H-1 for you, curtesy of Kurt Tank, the german brain behind the 190's and the ta's :) A fantastic plane on the super high alts, but lets see how it performs on lower alts as well, as thats where the plane will usually have to fight. The most broken plane in WT. Historically documented speed at 9km alt (top alt was 14km I think) for this plane was 700 km/h. While in game you really struggle to get this alt in this plane and even afterwards it fails to get even 300 km/h speed.
So, basically in WT this is a plane is the worst one in every possible way compared to anything it faces
The reason that you couldn't cool down properly is because the more time you spend overheated, the lower the overheating threshold gets. I think it is supposed to simulate losing coolant or damaging the coolant system when you are overheating.
ah well, i guess it is what it is, i push the plane to the limit too often i guess ;)
So that's why my plane goes from overheating 115⁰C to overheating at 93⁰C

A lot of people swear the H1 is far better then the C-3. However, German You Tubers say the whole line of German air planes are sub par and, how Gaijin has completely screwed them over. I know for a couple of years now, many You Tubers (German or otherwise), have been complaining how Gaijin has totally ignored the real life stats concerning the Ta series. In other words, both the H1 and C3 perform in no way near the real life counterpart.
this is true for lots of planes German and others, so what? I can only review whats in front of me. It's useless to compare it to reality, and pointless for a WT related review.
Jengar well it could fill the german highest prop tier gap. Buff the ta 152s to their historical accuracy and put them at 6.0/6.3
yeah true, but gaijin would have to fix it. and when they dont ppl who go balls deep into this stuff burn out and leave the game, look at bismarck and ramjb. I take a more light approach, and enjoy whats in front of me and now and then will talk about what they could improve, but i do not let it occupy my mind too much. i've not had brakes from this game for more then a week for 4 years. this works for me.
They went on to games such games as IL 2 Battle of Stalingrad, and other games. They just got fed up with Gaijin. There are many You Tubers who were very popular and have deserted Gaijin because of Gaijin's never ending line of crap they pull on their clients. Any other business who ran it with such disregard for their customers would have went out of business years ago.
you're probably right, i still enjoy the game though, like i have never before in any other game. The amount of time i spend in this game is second to none ;) War Thunder still is by far the best there is in its genre. And gaijin is slowly improving. Lets hope they continue that.

The bullets literally disassembled the B-29 lol, it's like every individual part just kinda separated from each other
The engine die very fast if you do not use the manual engine control. The engine is different from the 190d series and overheat very quickly for some reason... but if you put your radiators at 30% when you are not in combat (wep on when you climb) you will not have any problems with your engine.... activate the automatic engine control when you are in vertical manouvres, dive acceleration (it is very bad on this plane) and when you get out of a boom and zoom attack for the next 30 secs
maybe i'll pick mec up one day when i have more time on my hands.

I do have these in my hanger, but I haven't dared to fly them yet. I can feel the stock grind getting quite rough with this high BR airplane... Love the design of the plane, looks extremely stylish.

Been waiting for this review. one of the technological marvels of the war. I suspect its climb rate should be higher with those high aspect ratio wings.

That has an interceptor spawn, the one over the airfield lol, not an attacker spawn. And the plane looks like Fokke Wulf took a Dora and stuck some wings the length of Russia on the plane. And we both seem to have a problem of aiming German low velocity cannons xD

I relle want to love this plane, but after ive caught one in lf mk9 at 7km, i gave up

Killed a TA yesterday who tried to maneuver with me in a spitfire and got killed by another who I tried to helicopter up to (fool :-/). I enjoy realistic. I am playing it quite a bit but can't seem to improve much. I am either too patient to get to a good position and end up missing much of the action, or go too soon and go down in flames. I still have fun though. Great video!
Practice makes perfect, the decision making is something that evolves with experience.

Is it just me.... When ever he makes a half/full turn with the Ta-152 H1 , I yell OMG THAT FREAKING TURN RADIUS IS FREAKING WIDE...
Try searching up custom missions for high alt bomber hunting with this beauty.

You didn't take any hits to damage your oil. When you let temperatures go into amber, the temperature at which you go into amber becomes lower and lower. When you go into red, it drops even faster. After you've been in red long enough, you take engine damage. It's a clunky simulation of stress on cooling mechanisms, as the little radiator fins can warp or hoses & pipes begin storing heat (a very bad thing). At a certain point, things (in real life) will will break and you can get oil/water leaks or -- in extreme cases -- cracked blocks and piston heads.

Raf von Thorn if they connect like they should they are devastating. But 8 from 10 shells spark off. I mean, it might be op with the ease of mouse aim if they had historical accurate dmg (oneshot on every fighter, on most fighters regardless of were it hit), but it is not good enough atm.
Magz has a great video on the ta, especially talking about how the flight model does not match historical flight performance for the ta-152 at all. It's an imaginary flight model not based on facts. Pretty sad that such a good plane got screwed over. Please check out magz's video, it's great. Once again, fantastic video jengar, I'm always excited when I see you've added content

I get the engine performance issue you had every time I fly planes that can WEP for a long time like the P-47 and the 109 G-14AS. I think the extended WEP use damages the engine even though you cool it off every once in a while.
maybe, i almost never get this effect though. But its definitely true that i push the planes to their limit.
Yes, I do the same. It's not a big issue if the match last lest then 20 minutes, but after that I find my self having to throttle less and less if I don't want to overheat. I'm not sure if it's an anti-passive-game-play measure Gaijin implemented to reduce the amounts of games get extended by run-aways, but it's definitely an issue. Some times I've been forced to throttle less then 80% in order not overheat.
yeah, maybe it is some kind of measure, i'll keep pushing the planes though ;)

Jengar mate boomerang mk2 or d520 next?????
d520 is a french yak with a sht ton of ammo for mediocre french guns, boomerang mk2 is a waste of money get the mk 1 it has everything the same but higher reward, boomerangs are amazing ground strikers with 4000 ammo, they turn insane stable platform can easily get 4k points from soft targets each game.
D520 is on the channel, so is one of the boomerangs. The boomerangs are great :)

I wish there was a map that started at a high altitude to allow high altituse planes like this a chance to shine. The way things are now theres no reason not to fly low altitude turn fighters because the game alwaye devolves to a furball on the deck
Never really fell for H1, as said it is the Hight altitude fighter, and there are not that many high alt. engagements in WT. And usually if you have one, you are usually forced to dive back to the deck, so it's mostly waste of time to climb for 10 minutes, to be forced to dive back down. But C3, thats a different beast, all together. With 5 cannon armament, there is nothing to compare with this thing. Usually with air spawn, you can head on couple of bombers and then just dive down and take out anybody on the deck with BnZ. Only if it wasnt overheating so much...
might look at the c-3 soonish as well :)
KapitanPisoar1 the overheating is strange the Fw190 D-9 I remember can WEP for 30 minutes and both share the same engine but with different superchargers

I ask a lot of rb players why they don't like AB. They say it's too intense. No breathing space.
AB is a shitshow.
AB is good to start with and learn, but once you get to understand RB, you won't go back. AB is crazy and the plane flight model is just too crazy when compared to RB.

Yeah, you nailed it. It LOOKS like a high alt machine because it IS a high alt machine and we all know that there are very few calls for ANYTHING high alt in the game as we speak!!

Why dont you save the 30mm till you're really close to the enemy?
Because firing the two calibers at the same time creates a bigger killing zone, a bigger bullet spread. i always find this more important then stretching the ammoload.

Historical fact - most WW2 fighters overheated at 100%. You usually had continuous setting that you could use more or less indefinitely, combat setting that could be used for substantial amount of time, but overheated the engine after a while, and WEP, that could be used only for few minutes.
The SpyCrap fam the fm is fine. If you're complaining about it's elevator all you have to do is load 45 minutes of fuel
Wait a second i dont complain about elevator but at high altitude it doesnt have the speed to do anything tbh
many FM's arnt hystorically correct, and hopefully they get around to fixing it one day. In the meantime i try to enjoy whats in front of me.
Jengar most spits were about 50-100 kp/h faster irl then ingame, but that would make them completly broken^^
I never liked this plane. To me, it looks like a I don't even know what, but those wings are terrible in my opinion.
