They do get second hand spot light. There are thousand of people, that think the same. As long as the organisation gets spotlight here, the other dogs are more likely to get adopted too.
Carbon Ghetto Queen I agree but I understand puppies put on a better show. At least when they got adopted they clear more room in the shelters for adult dogs.
Supply and demand: If no one adopts the old and disabled, while the puppies and kittens would have been adopted, what then? Also, there may be far more puppies and kittens than old and disabled animals. It seems that even after cracking down on puppy mills, and spaying/neutering animals, there is an excess of them in existence.
I've volunteered at places where the old and disabled animals die in a kennel at the shelter, whereas the puppies and kittens barely stayed more than a few weeks. Doesn't matter how many puppies and kittens there are, people will always want them over adult pets (especially old and/or disabled ones)
Cranston did such a great job, & it's adorable how he was a big ole mush to all of the puppies. Definitely a true animal lover. Gotta love how chill Columbus looks though, sweet kitty... errr, puppy. Black cats are usually the hardest for shelters to adopt out but hopefully someone scoops him right up. Remember black cats go with everything!
@@oliveoyl1802 Absolutely. Shadow, my black kitten was a stray. He has brought me more joy than I can properly express. He is so sweet and silly, black cats are overlooked and it breaks my heart.
Thank you so much for helping the rescue dogs. So many of us trying to help, and seeing celebrities showing these animals on tv is a dream come true for us.
I love how you can tell that Bryan really loves all these dogs! STEPHEN Please do this more and maybe next time add some older dogs to the mix! Please like this comment so maybe they see it and add older dogs /hopes
I work in an animal shelter. I'm glad he does this but at the same time, I wish he would feature some older dogs. Puppies have no problem getting adopted.
Thank you Stephen for doing your part and highlighting shelter animals! Hopefully in some future segments, you can feature some oldies who need adopting too!
The cat bit was hilarious! Good on them to do something like this that is so sweet and marvelous. I hope all of those beautiful animals find great homes. :)
Oh sure, it's easy to give away cute puppies. Not so much with the 14-year-old 3-legged pit bull with the lazy eye and the $1500-a-week gambling problem.
these reascue dog segments remind me of the cat rescue commercials on snl with kate mckinnon. "this cat is a gift from god, at least that's what he told the members of his cult".
I believe whole-heartedly in adopting rescue dogs... my dog, Eddie, is actually a rescue from Alabama (I live in Milwaukee!), and all the other dogs I've ever taken care of have been from my local humane society. Did I mention I love dogs? Just throwing that out there. :P
We have to announce that, in a case of mistaken identity, Stephen Colbert was adopted by an elderly couple, and now lives on a small farm in upstate New York, where he is free to frolic in the fields and chase bunnies. The Colbert Report will return later this week, with Scout as your host.
God Brody was gorgeous. I hope all those dogs (+ Orlando!) found wonderful homes. My house has already got more than enough pets - we do our very best for them, but sadly we can't take in any more. This was such a great video, I'm so glad I clicked on it :)
Easy to get puppies and kittens adopted. How about some older animals that often sit in shelters until they are euthanized? How about helping out a no-kill shelter and *actually* making a difference?
Completely agree, but I'm assuming it's way easier to transport a bunch of tiny kittens and puppies around as opposed to full-grown animals. Also at least they had a black cat, they're harder to get adopted!
I kept awing on how much adorable those puppies are! Thank you for this segment! Hope to see another one with older dogs or maybe dogs with disabilities (it would be nice to have them on the spotlight and maybe being adopted from a good family!)
Do one with old dogs!!!! They need the spotlight more!!!!
Nathan Peterson was about to comment the same thing
They do get second hand spot light. There are thousand of people, that think the same. As long as the organisation gets spotlight here, the other dogs are more likely to get adopted too.
Gotta love the Bryan Cranston puppy kisses
That's the cutest thing. I like how they put the cat in at the end.
What cat?
@@gagrin1565 the CAT at the end. Yes the dog dressed as a cat.
Columbus must be the cutest and most adorable puppy I've ever seen . . !
Love you for doing this, guys.
Bryan Cranston and I share an utter inability to hold a puppy without kissing its face repeatedly.
Sadie Kay im a puppy
..............ew.
hard to resist. Love the black "puppy" at the end who was mistaken for a cat previously.
I love the way Bryan can't resist kissing the puppies. That would be me too. You can tell a lot about a person when they love animals.
I know right!!?
That was a LOT of willing kisses!
Me thinks Bryan will be going home with a couple of those!
Cranston's delivery was flawless. Criminally underused comedic talent.
Well, he did work on a comedy for 6 years.
I love how everyone forgets that when Breaking Bad started people were like, "What's this? The dad from Malcolm in the Middle is trying to do drama?"
Those people are obviously rabid anti-dentites.
Puppies and Kittens are always the first to be adopted, Steven should "Rescue Dog Rescue" with old and disabled dogs and cats.
Carbon Ghetto Queen I agree but I understand puppies put on a better show. At least when they got adopted they clear more room in the shelters for adult dogs.
In a way they are helping in another way. These are mixed breeds that aren't as wanted as purebred. Yes they aren't young but they still need help
The fact is, five or six adoptions is less than a drop in the bucket. The real benefit here is the promotion of adoption from legitimate shelters.
I've volunteered at places where the old and disabled animals die in a kennel at the shelter, whereas the puppies and kittens barely stayed more than a few weeks. Doesn't matter how many puppies and kittens there are, people will always want them over adult pets (especially old and/or disabled ones)
Can I adopt all these puppies AND Bryan Cranston?
I want Columbus! And I just fell even more in love with Bryan Cranston.
I have had many cats over the years and can confidently confirm that black cats have the sweetest personalities and temperament.
@@oliveoyl1802 Absolutely. Shadow, my black kitten was a stray. He has brought me more joy than I can properly express. He is so sweet and silly, black cats are overlooked and it breaks my heart.
Columbus is not a cat! he is an alternative dog.
Thank you so much for helping the rescue dogs. So many of us trying to help, and seeing celebrities showing these animals on tv is a dream come true for us.
Bryan Cranston kissing puppies is the absolute purest thing in the world. My soul has been cleansed, I feel blessed.
I love how you can tell that Bryan really loves all these dogs! STEPHEN Please do this more and maybe next time add some older dogs to the mix!
Please like this comment so maybe they see it and add older dogs /hopes
Bryan Cranston such a good person and amazing actor!!!
Columbus is the cutest puppy I've ever seen!
BRYAN KISSES ALL THE DOGS
He's instantly attracted to puppies - he just starts kissing them, he doesn't even wait. And when you're a human, they let you do it.
Bryan is just spreading his herpes.
ForNoOne1 Hell, yeah! You can even grab those suckers by the p--- wait, what?
why wouldnt you, theyre puppies!!!
Barking Bad..
THAT's FUNNY!!! :D
Mr. C!! thats excellent! ^_^
Mr. C booooooom

LOL!!!
Groan...... :-D
Awww thanks for giving these babies a chance to find a forever home Stephen. This is why I love your show.
Bryan Cranston amazing as usual! (Source: Worked on a movie he was in, class act!)
And I want the kitty!
BURN THIS CAT LOVER! SKIPPING OVER ALL THE CUTE DOGS, such BLASPHEMY!
Lol. I honestly like both but you know how it is, must represent.
HEY GUYS I WORKED ON A MOVIE BRYAN CRANSTON WAS IN, LOOK AT ME
jealous much?
Thats good to read, i love this guy! i only wish they'd done some more 'too much exposition theatre'.
Shhh. . . It's a puppy.
Now I wanna see Conan rescue cats.
Same here :-)
Conan remote: A day at the shelter... with Jordan Schlansky!
and then he will bring out triumph the insult dog in a catsuit.
YES please!
Yes!!
This is SUCH a fantastic way to get animals adopted. I hope that this becomes a regular thing-there are a lot of celebrities who love animals!
thanks for helping innocent creatures in need :-)I hope they all find a good home . I love Stephen Colbert for using his power to help dogs
Bryan : *kisses puppies*
My heart : *melts*
What a brilliant segment...using his airtime to do some good while also providing good comedy with it. Stephen just seems to be a great human being.
Bryan Cranston is awesome! Look at him kissing those puppies💙
They kept giving Cranston puppies that matched his blazer which made me happy
You had this "crazy cat lady" going! Was ready to year you a new a**. Nice save! Thank you for your service to animals.
Me too LOL I'm a "crazy cat dude", and I was not only crestfallen but just about up in arms until I saw the end.
bubbasfrog I'm still mad.
You can tell Bryan is loving this xD Gets a big smile on his face when he sees the puppy and kisses them.
"He loves French cinema....but more importantly, this dog isn't a total dick about it."
I work in an animal shelter. I'm glad he does this but at the same time, I wish he would feature some older dogs. Puppies have no problem getting adopted.
Thank you guys for showcasing rescue animals!!! Please keep doing so!
OMG Bryan can't stop kissing them. Loveeee ❤❤❤
Thank you Stephen for doing your part and highlighting shelter animals! Hopefully in some future segments, you can feature some oldies who need adopting too!
Subtle Bryan, letting Stephen know his jacket coat wasn't closed right at 1:50 helping out any way possible good guy lol
awwww....I love that Bryan Cranston kisses all the puppies he held. He's a dead give away for being an animal lover!
Aww that's so sweet of Stephen and Brian to do this. Hopefully these adorable babies will find some good people to take them home soon
Bryan Cranston is a national treasure.
I LOVE HOW BRYAN KEEPS SMOOCHING THEM
OMG the Cuteness is killing me softly!!! 4 paws up for this vid!!! Thanx Stephen!!!
Bryan Cranston kissed that puppy. I'm never ever washing that puppy.
The cat bit was hilarious!
Good on them to do something like this that is so sweet and marvelous. I hope all of those beautiful animals find great homes. :)
"Maybe Conan will help you."
*TV network bromance*
I think Bryan Cranston is the better man here because he kisses each puppy at least twice.
Nothing better than seeing grown men hugging and kissing puppies...
Oh sure, it's easy to give away cute puppies.
Not so much with the 14-year-old 3-legged pit bull with the lazy eye and the $1500-a-week gambling problem.
That's an excellent point. 😀
fidorover dogs have gambling problems?
Of course there aren't puppy casinos. That's illegal. You have to be at least 21 dog years old to gamble.
fidorover Seriously, it's great for them to do rescue, of course, but I wish they'd peddle adult doggies.
I believe you should get a call from Colbert's people shortly.
Columbus is a very cute puppy. He seems to have an interesting color pattern.
Stephen Colbert and Bryan Cranston should also do more "Too Much Exposition Theater". In addition John Oliver needs to be on "Rescue Dog Recuse".
Best video ever? Stephen + Cranston + puppies
Erm excuse me my love! Are you Walter's daughter?!
Awwwwwwwww, that poor cat!!! All animals need a great home :(
I'll take Columbus the "not a cat in a puppy suit" and the puppy who likes art house cinema.
Brody looks like Bryan Cranston's spirit animal.
That Brody puppy got beautiful eyes....so cute!!
Anything that raises public awareness for rescue groups is another step in the right direction.
They need to do this more
Damn these guys look like brothers.
I love how Bryan can't help but smooch all the puppies :-)
"Awwww." *Heart melts* 1:45
Cranston has awesome delivery
Are you kidding me?? So so so adorable! Such sweetness, I adore them all!
I like his tie tonight.
I want Sterling! aww... What a beautiful puppy. :)
This is the best! Can you do big dogs? It's so much harder to find them homes, we need you Stephen!
Brody is a cutie and I love the eyes.
Do this with the Rock! Him and doggies together would be perfection. 😊
GIVE ME COLUMBUS
Columbus is the cutest doggo I've ever seen!
That dog won't hunt. Tried to train mine to fetch the duck, but it always wandered off to amuse itself otherwise. I smell a rat.
already adopted
nmartin60 h
these reascue dog segments remind me of the cat rescue commercials on snl with kate mckinnon.
"this cat is a gift from god, at least that's what he told the members of his cult".
this is the cutest thing I've ever seen
awww poor Columbus kitten-cat
Gasped when he slit the puppy's throat with a box cutter, this show is crazy
other than when colbert report steven colbert is on the show, this is the best part of the show and I hope they never get rid of this segment.
'Maybe Conan will help you!' Lol Stephen is so class!!
The Columbus bit was gold. I knew there was no way Stephen would be mean to a kitten like that. There had to be a catch!
I still have yet to see a dog cuter than Gabe... fuck now I'm crying.
*takes deep breath*
AWWWWWWWW
Oh.... I want Sterling soooo bad!🐶
Valencia Moss so cuuute
I ❤️ Bryan Cranston!
- Who's a good doggie? - Meeeeeow.
The last dog was definitely a good boy.
I want nothing more then to jump into that pen with the puppies!
Bryan doesn't look like he's aged since Breaking Bad.
Bryan Cranston kissed every puppy more than once
We have to announce that, in a case of mistaken identity, Stephen Colbert was adopted by an elderly couple, and now lives on a small farm in upstate New York, where he is free to frolic in the fields and chase bunnies. The Colbert Report will return later this week, with Scout as your host.
Finally, someone who pets the dogs! Cranston obviously loves dogs :-)
I love Columbus!!
Oh come on Stephen give the cats more lovin!
Let Bryan keep all the puppies!
God Brody was gorgeous. I hope all those dogs (+ Orlando!) found wonderful homes. My house has already got more than enough pets - we do our very best for them, but sadly we can't take in any more. This was such a great video, I'm so glad I clicked on it :)
"I do whatever I can to help out all the world's creatures that I don't want to eat." I'd be content if even that was true.
the kitten was so cute.
They should have a segment called "Rescue Cat Rescue".
Easy to get puppies and kittens adopted. How about some older animals
that often sit in shelters until they are euthanized? How about helping
out a no-kill shelter and *actually* making a difference?
Completely agree, but I'm assuming it's way easier to transport a bunch of tiny kittens and puppies around as opposed to full-grown animals. Also at least they had a black cat, they're harder to get adopted!
Yes! That would be great!
Thank you for including the beautiful cat
I kept awing on how much adorable those puppies are!
Thank you for this segment! Hope to see another one with older dogs or maybe dogs with disabilities (it would be nice to have them on the spotlight and maybe being adopted from a good family!)
I was waiting for him to put the cat in the box with other dogs haha! smart guy.
xDDD "Maybe Conan will help you!!" xD God I hope he responds
they're all so adorable. I want Grace.
I want Sterling.
Puppies AND Lin-Manuel Miranda?? this show is trying to kill me
I could watch Bryan Cranston kiss puppies for weeks. :-D
