Hey man! nice video! I Want to upgrade my Ram, and have some questions before doing that... hopefully you can answer them and help me out... 1st Do this machine only have one ram slot? and 2nd Do I have to remove the battery or disconect it before touching the ram sticks o it does not matter?
1- Yep it only has the single slot 2- it would be recommended to have the battery disconnected (I'm happy with myself to simple have the machine full shutdown and leave the battery connected, but i run that risk)
I have a latitude 3380 and I accidentally spilled some hand sanitizer on the lower right of the keyboard around the shift and page down keys and immediately shut down and tried to mop it up as best as I could with a paper towel/napkin, then turned the laptop upside down, monitor open, and left it overnight and it seems to work fine, but my concern is, while alcohol may evaporate sometimes I find the sanitizer leaves a film behind on my hands. That could be due to a combination of sanitizer and soap, but I'm worried, might there be a film on the internals of the computer now? Watching this video seems to show that that portion of the laptop, indeed under the entire keyboard section perhaps, there seems to be a cover preventing access from the keyboard to the internals, so, should I be worried? :\ I'm not very experienced with taking apart computers so I'm not sure I trust myself to do that, and I don't have a lot of money to pay for repairs, indeed this is my only working computer right now. For reference it was Equate antibacterial hand sanitizer gel, triple moisturizing action with vitamin E, Jojoba and Glycerin used. I have compressed air. Should I use compressed air to try to dry any residue there might be?
no, it has 2 m.2 "A" key slots (PCIe 1x with usb) one for Wifi and one for optional wlan (subscriber service such as tmobile). NVMe is keyed differently such as M key (PCIe x4) or B key (PCIe x2) It would be best to just get a 3.5 inch SATA SSD to replace the classic spinning disk. Check and make sure but its possible it may already have an ssd. Mine does, depends on the service tag.
hey friend, my tochpad stopped working when I uncovered that laptop, I just uncovered I looked and covered the laptop again, I did not move any cables, then I realized that it was badly covered and it worked but I turned it off and on and it no longer works
3:40 with a single dim slot, i would replace with a 16GB 3200mhz Sodimm DDR4 Stick www.amazon.com.au/Crucial-PC4-25600-SODIMM-260-Pin-Memory/dp/B08C511GQH/ref=sr_1_5?crid=2AA0VNJSNTCFY&keywords=16GB+Sodimm&qid=1689578552&sprefix=16gb+sodim%2Caps%2C261&sr=8-5
Man, that was a beautiful video. It was simple but definitely useful. Thank you...
