European MEPs: Why has energy sector, which was built purely with taxpayers' money, i.e. hydropower and nuclear power, been run down and transferred to the hands of big capital, like the wood processing industry. Which do not need energy BECAUSE THEY PRODUCE THEMSELVES energy in excess of their own use. Both P.., V... and K.. sell electricity to their owners at cost price. The actual cost price is 0.5 - 1.0 cents per kWh. These companies and all counterpower and district heating companies that also produce electricity get district heating on top of the sale. Only a heat exchanger is needed instead of a condenser. In addition, it is clear when you compare the power (MW) in relation to the output (TWh) that you notice that, for example, V.. runs at 40% short load. This is a fact. It would not be worthwhile to try to deceive those who understand the field. Why would nature be of interest to MEP S when they are not interested in the most important thing, i.e. money? None of the future MEPs participating in the European elections are interested in the fact that European workers bear the majority of the tax burden, i.e. 7,000 billion euros? Why don't the players in the derivatives trade (with a volume of 452,900 billion euros) pay enough tax on the 6% average profit they receive? The tax collection (1.9%) would generate a whopping 8,000 billion euros. Why don't those who already have all of our money and capital want to participate in society's obligations? Before, at the beginning of the 20th century, when the industry was being built, the factory owners built the apartments, hospitals, schools and pensions THEMSELVES with their own money, although even that money was collected thanks to the employees. Doesn't the truth no longer apply that what is not right or reasonable cannot be law? You might want to check out ESMA's report: EU derivatives market - a first time overview! Corrupted? (*Gross corruption is the disruption of the political order by high-ranking state officials (e.g. through rigged elections), and moderate corruption is the unwarranted personal enrichment of state officials through their positions on a more mundane basis. Political corruption is the manipulation of policies, social institutions and practices in order to remain in power, to obtain financial gain or advantage, and to maintain or increase one's status, whether by action or inaction, in the public or private sphere, and whether by individuals or organizations. The word corruption comes from the Latin corruptio meaning 'corrupt state', 'decay' or 'bribery' (*source: Wikipedia).
I hope you also make many videos about the rise of far-left parties, the movement of center-left parties towards the far-left, and the dangers of far-left policies to Europe and the world. The obsession of the mainstream media with far-right parties without concerns for the bigger dangers of far-left puzzles me. We have several historical and recent examples to show the disastrous consequences of far-left, socialist, and communist policies and it is important to keep the public educated on the dangers of the far-left. We see the current impact of far-left, socialist, and communist policies in countries such as Venezuela, Cuba, and North Korea. These are existing countries with clear leftwing and socialist policies and we can see how badly they are doing. In recent history, we saw how socialism and communism led to the death of millions of people under Stalin of USSR and Mao of China, denied human rights to millions, oppressed millions and generated wide spread poverty and suffering. The iron curtain was all about far-left, socialist and communist policies on large parts of Europe and we saw their disastrous consequences. The far-left and socialists should remind us of Lenin, Stalin, Mao, former USSR, Hugo Chavez, Nicolas Maduro, Kim Jong Un, Castro, and many others in recent history. The movement of many leftwing parties in the Western world towards more socialist and far-left policies seem more concerning than this constant obsession and demonization of far-right parties. Please bring some balance to the debate to help people make better decisions. Thanks
Wow... I shouldn't have looked at the comment section, since it makes me lose more hope in humanity than the video itself... people are really buying the right wing populist ideas, not understanding the actual cause of the economic hardship this generation is facing... sad that the world, specially Europe, is repeating the same mistakes from the beginning of the 20th century, which lead to the severe times of war, and now, we are already seeing the exact trend of authoritarianism and perilous nationalism that will culminate in the demise of existing democracies. The worst part is that, just as in the past, "everything is being done legally" (paraphrasing).

There is no use labelling anyone as left or right wing. It is clear, some portion of the society wishes to have another viewpoint. What lesson is to be learnt is, when mainstream parties swing too much to one side, voices will build on the other. Remember Newtons law, every action has an equal and opposite reactions. When one sides pushes extreme open borders, other want nobody to come in, or too much wokeism, sentiments against them build on the other side.
It is not the far right in Italy and Hungary. They are just conservatives!! On the other hand yes, in Germany, France and the Netherlands it is more considered "far right". But in Germany, it is not (yet) the majority party. In the Netherlands and especially in France, the far right is the majority party! And in France, it is only increasing. As if nothing could stop this party. France is taking a very right-wing, authoritarian turn. And I have the impression that Germany will follow the same path as its French neighbor.
As an American it's extremely disturbing listening to the Italians argue over politics because it sounds identical to arguments here in the US. The divisiveness of our political systems are destroying our sense of unity and community.

Which in turn, drew most of the voters to the "original source" instead of those who just want to win their votes back.
Definitely
Because unlike Denmark, countries like Sweden and France where natives are becoming minorities in their own capitals.
We love the RIGHT‼️
That would be a good change to prevent the EU from imploding. Continuing with the current batch, especially at the EU Commission and the EU Council levels will destroy the economic and financial foundations of the EU.
Hopefully yes!
If the left wasn't beholden to Islamism and the totalitarian, anti-Enlightenment values it stands for, I would still be voting left.
They aren’t far right, there just people with common sense
3:19 - "I was shocked!"
Literally clutches pearls.
With showing that French/German town DW has a new goal. Showing and glorifying how good it would be if Europe resigns national governments for the European one. Wicked DW.
Far right 😂😂😂
George Washington was the most far-right politician in Human History. A Socialist in Germany in 1933 was not right-wing at all. No Socialist of any flavor can be "right-wing."
Yes, of course, the United States should worry about the pocket leaders of Europe who may leave their posts.
This is the will of the people simple.
AFD! AFD! AFD!

(Combine data from all six trade repositories)
I wonder what could have caused it….;duh
Let’s hope! Enough of the current system
really @DW ??? doomsday music when changing to describe afd ? I mean,...how seriously can one take your work with these shenanigans. (For the sake of good journalism, stop making a trailer out of these pieces, plz)
The group started with 18. Now, there are 41.
It won't be long, before there's a whole bus of them!
I was going to watch this, but you lost me when you used the "post-fascism" term. That's poor journalism, indeed.

It sounds like they are trying to justify the attempted assassination
give some power to EU by choice or give away lots of power to Russia, USA and China involuntarily. Individual European nations states are to small and insignificant on their own !
That's smooth brain thinking..Nation states can still trade, sign defense treaties, and share intelligence and military assets..

better far right than far wrong

I don’t want to understand and will never understand why Europeans vote right. That seems to conflate with their ,,values,, unless they lied the whole time. I predict the right will cause a huge impact on Europe. The only left wing remnants would be Luxembourg,Montenegro and Lithuania? Lithuania performs democratic backsliding too. Then there’s Norway. So 4 countries remain democratic and left wing (Lithuania is semi-left)
How does one ban surrogate motherhood? It would seem to me that there are many loopholes around that.
Let's hope so!

3% was the right percentage for Giorgia Meloni.
Lets be honest. Todays "right" would be the middle-of-road opinion 20 years ago
Its about freedom for all, but not if you are right leaning.

Why are all the not z's in the comments so.offended about the far-right being called out? Do you feel called out?
Says the the maoist
Vox populi, vox Dei.
Thanks
Didn’t even take 100 years for Germany to publicly re-embrace the far right ideologies. I guess it was never truly gone, was it?

The worst part is that, just as in the past, "everything is being done legally" (paraphrasing).
maybe because europeans dont want WAR
This is not just about left or right, whatever that means .
It is about Europeans voting in a European election, for parties that who to demolish European integration. Especially France, who invented the concept.
On the flip side, some of our Eastern neighbours will be happy I guess.
What about south africa, australia, america, new zealand, etc filled witb europeans?

America is native Americans.
South Africa is for South Africans.

Döbeln isn't a village. It's the second largest town in the county, having town charter since the 14th century. (You can see in the video too that it's not just a village. Do your moderators even watch the footage before announcing it?)
Demokracy needs rules to protect itself against totalitarian autocratic regimes.
Yes..don't go too fast to the RIGHT..for a glorious future for all humanity, if the cards are laid out correctly..
Right wing is right,not extremist.
From a far left perspective everything appears to the right.
The Italians basically invented polarized politics lol.
