Brilliant. I have seen this man many times, chiefly in the mirror, when shaving and such like. Still, you've got to start somewhere haven't you? Anyone kind enough to post positively on my last, recently removed clip, I'd be very grateful to hear your views on this effort. Anyone not so impressed last time around, go on then, get it out of your system. You may be interested to know that I now have facebook and myspace pages up and running and a website should be live within the week. Cheers!
Be nice if you updated the comments section. 11 yrs seems a tad tardy. Love your work, stay safe and well. Btw, some great material to be had on "saveus.org.uk
Simon. Come to Doncaster. The "educated" accent joke.....nobody would get that at all. But seriously come to Doncaster. Our motto is "We're better than Scunthorpe!"
One of the funniest routines I've ever seen. I absolutely rate Simon Evans - he is, without doubt, one of the best stand-ups around. And as he does very little TV you must try and see him live. You won't be diasappointed.
Saw this guy at Lee Hurst's club a few years ago and always remembered the name as he was the best stand up I have seen live. Ever. Absolutely killed that night and by the looks of this clip, he was on top form again. Wonder if he has lobbied for TV exposure - if so I wonder why he hasn't had it. 100x more talented than virtually every stand up working on TV at the moment.
Saw Simon in Canterbury in December 2009 supporting Lee Mack and he was very, very good. Look forward to seeing more in 2010!! Keep up the good work oneinasquillion!!!
Seen him a couple of times now, once at Twickenham comedy club a couple of years ago and once this year supporting Lee Mack. Absolutely brilliant both times and am hoping he gets a proper TV shot soon. Just seen him on the Telly at Edinburgh festival and he's still as good. Someone set up a Facebook page NOW and get him his own show!
I have seen this guy a few times and he is ludicrously funny. On one occasion I saw him I laughed so much my food came out of my nose. His observsational humour is pure genius. I like him so much I am considering stalking him.
Not sure half the audience actually got all the little asides fully....but brilliant delivery and content. He also writes for Not Going Out.....which is also superb.
@oneinasquillion I laughed until I ached. Think you are fantastic and a fresh approach and angle on life indeed. Hope to find you nearby live very soon. Jon
"mother could be very cruel" pmsl! I loved your stuff from way back. Please post more clips. Please come and do a show in Essex. Proper Essex, not that London overspill region that gives Essex a bad name.
As an Ex-pat from the North East I moved to Canada and they were worried I might not be used to the climate....pah. The language barrier was a bit of a bugger at first but over time the locals did finally get the hang of my Colloquialisms
If this is you, Simon. I saw you supporting Lee Mack in Edinburgh last year and I nearly pissed myself. Very enjoyable performance. My Mum came out saying how much she enjoyed Tim Vine, I kept trying to tell her I didn't think it was Tim Vine. You cracked a gag about it I think. Thanks, mate.
Just watched this guy on some comedy show on the iplayer. Show was decent but this guy came on and I was in tears laughing. So offensive to the audience, my kind of humour :) The "educated" joke is just killer.
Brilliant as always, Simon! First heard you on a show on radio 4 some years ago, and was lucky enough to see you at Hecklers in Aldershot and then again at South Street in Reading, got a copy of your DVD after, too. Do you still do the bit about people chucking stuff in your hedge, and the tramp routine, I love those!
If I were a Geordie I would find this hilarious because it was delivered as a joke and would take no offence at all. If you want to see a bitter attack on a regional people, you tube the spectacularly unfunny Aussie Brendan Burns on Liverpool, then you will see the difference between a truly funny man, Evans, and a bitter untalented man, Burns.
It would be nice for him to realise in this age of You Tube that doing the same material over and over and over and over and over and over again, wears fucking thin after a while.
It seems ludicrous he's not on Radio 4 preaching to the converted, slightly posh middle class. If David Mitchell can tap into that audience, and people are willing to pay Michael McIntyre to skip up and down a stage, chirping, mirthlessly; there surely should be more work for Simon Evans.
As a Geordie I'm outraged...that this guy hasn't had more exposure - Why isn't he touring?

Ah MySpace. Whatever happened to that?

You sir are a very funny chap...Keep it up.
That includes the humour.
Simon. Come to Doncaster. The "educated" accent joke.....nobody would get that at all.
But seriously come to Doncaster. Our motto is "We're better than Scunthorpe!"
I keep coming back to listen to this routine. He is absolutely brilliant. Had the crowd howling with laughter every few seconds.
So great to have a really clever articulate comedian, need more of Simon
SIMON EVANS IS A COMEDY GENIUS
One of the funniest routines I've ever seen. I absolutely rate Simon Evans - he is, without doubt, one of the best stand-ups around. And as he does very little TV you must try and see him live. You won't be diasappointed.
I saw Simon Evans when he supported Lee Mack on tour in Blackburn. He was great! I almost died when he pointed out his eyes!
This guy is hilarious! Truly world class!
No matter how many times I hear this routine, it never fails to entertain……

Just saw him on BBC Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live. Easily the best one of the lot. Can't believe he's not on tv and YT more!

Just watched this guy on some comedy show on the iplayer. Show was decent but this guy came on and I was in tears laughing. So offensive to the audience, my kind of humour :) The "educated" joke is just killer.
@oneinasquillion 'wind stiffened nipples' lovely imagery !
Do people not understand that comics will stick with a similar set because they know it works. He would only have gone in tele with his best stuff.
The wonderful use of the richest language in the world,,🦊😂
Just the there lol
@StephenCymraeg Just watched that. Certainly my favourite of that line up. Not to say the others were bad. But he stood out.
Very wry.
