I love the doomsday scope. Such a weird rim but it flies so well. My favorite boutique company is definitely Loft, though, because I'm a chemist and their nomenclature is appealing to me (silicon, hydrogen, bohrium, etc)
My favorite boutique brand is Doomsday. Like the intro to this video their marketing is very creative. Their artwork is great. I like their slogan “go down throwing” because it makes me think that no matter how old, good at the game, disabled or life got you down… get out there and throw. You missed out on their overstable Plague driver and top useful drivers - Dystopia and Cataclysm. These two are tacky and bomb. Nice video!
This was so unintentionally hilarious and I love it! I'm sorry for your lost discs but I was giggling like a child because they became a sort of comedic gag throughout the video. Doomsday was not even on my radar but you have put them on it and for that, they should praise and award you appropriately for drawing in new customers. Thank you. 👍
I got the blackout as a mystery item from infinite. MAN I was blown away by how it flew. Its so well rounded for a ton of shot shapes. It can be unpredictable in higher winds, but it has improved my game significantly. Thats why Doomsday is my favorite boutique.
I’m enjoying all the different series! Keep it up. I like Pie Pan Discs. They are active in growing the sport locally and sponsor many events. Plus, their disc and plastic names are largely food themed, and I love food!
I got my first doomsday disc from a holiday disc exchange and I absolutely loved it (it was a blackout) doomsday discs and trashpanda are my favorites hands down! I love the doomsday community and how involved it is in the making of everything they make. and I support trashpanda's goal of sustainability. PS. This video sold me on getting a despair need to get that soon!
Great video! You guys have one of the best formats for doing reviews I've come across. Always fun to watch and well shot and edited. I'm going to go with trash panda for my boutique brand pick. Great story, plastic, and discs.
Love Doomsday discs. I bag two Blackouts, a Landmine, and two Distopias. The fact that Team Doomsday has so much involvement with the evolution of the brand is unique.
I have a Flat Earth in my bag. It's been great for tight wooded shots for me so far. I was looking for someone to have a review of there lineup before I bagged my Doomsday disc. Thanks for all the info
Favourite boutique brand has to be Daredevil Discs out of Canada. All their discs are named after animals or mythical creatures from above the 49th parallel and their marketing copy always includes fun info about their namesakes. Specifically love the Wolverine as a neutral fairway driver that I can throw off either arm and bag the Beaver putter too.
Omg the pestilence looks like a tilt flipped upside down. I like agls putting plastic I guess if you consider them boutique, the manzanita has one of the most unique (while not bizzare) profiles. Picture a slightly puddle top p2 with a mini thumbtrack. I thought it was weird till I tried it, now it's my favorite putter. Plus they help the environment. Which is cool.
LOL yea it is a weird shape and super flippy, definitely fits the flight numbers. Yea AGL is another one I should try soon! Love their environmental commitment as well!
First of all, your voice belongs in commercial work, sir! Fantastic quality to your voice!! My favorite boutique brand would probably be dinosaur discs; despite not actually owning any. A full brand dedicated to young and new players is a really cool idea - I love the idea of a “kids” disc in the same way that you start with t-ball or flag football or anything like that.
I have long considered getting some doomsday discs. Their marketing is my favorite concept: take something ridiculous and go full force into it. It is so up my alley! Great video!
I love the marketing, it’s very metal! I would also love the opportunity to lose some Doomsday Discs of my own! The depth charge is just asking to go in a pond.
I've fallen in love with Mint discs over the last three years. There is something for everyone in their lineup. For me the Jackalope made me such a better golfer, it's a neutral (for me) seven speed fairway that just fits almost any line I could ask of it. Great video! Thanks for the watch.
Congratulations, you are the first Giveaway winner! Please email us at sixsideddiscs@gmail.com with your UA-cam handle from your comment, if anyone else contacts you for information about this giveaway, please disregard!
What’s not to love about a company that tries new things I hope they stumble upon something great. For smaller companies I really like Viking their marketing and discs always keep me interested.
I like Fourth Circle Discs (Australia). Fourth Circle Discs are the first to design and manufacturer discs in Australia. Dingos, taipans, huntsman and fire hawk make up the range. It’s nice to “throw local”
I dont know if of theyre considerred boutique but i love RPM discs from New Zealand! I never see anyone else in my area throwing them. Love their art, and their entry plastics feel great. Ruru putter is my go to, love it!
I throw a lot of random companies. But most of my favorite discs are those that are from the small companies and maybe not as widely known. Great video!
These profiles of DG companies are great! I’ve learned a lot about companies I didn’t know at all, including Doomsday. The “ice cream lid” models and the Blackout look really cool. I might just try them out. I don’t have a favorite boutique DG company, but your recent profiles on Trash Panda, Doomsday, and Reptilian have me thinking about finding a small company to support. Thanks again for another creative and useful video.
I’ve been throwing the blackout for couple of weeks now and it’s awesome. Amazing for the woods and does exactly what you described in the video. One kind of funny thing was mine smells almost like tire rubber, which I thought maybe was another apocalypse reference from the manufacturer. Definitely the most fun boutique disc manufacturer in my opinion so far, though I also really like that small indie brand Discmania too. 👌
Thanks for the review... love the theme of the company! I fell in love with Westside discs after I found one and discovered they have a Viking theme and ordered a few.
Since I started playing, I've always been a sucker for a good theme. Started with Westside because I loved the medieval theme. This seems like a theme and brand I can completely get behind! They seem to be making quality products while taking in aaallll the community feedback they can, all while not taking themselves too seriously. I haven't even thrown a disc of theirs yet and I already love the brand lol
I bought a pestilence because I’m not good, and it was the first time I threw 300+ and I felt like a king. I have so many doomsday discs. I love them. Big fan.
Sweet video, thanks Greg (and Caleb)! And some course-type shots too, shaping them through trees - just as I requested on a previous video! Excellent work, you are seen and appreciated! I'm not quite sure why, but I quite enjoy watching you throw discs Greg. Caleb's throw is nice of course, repeatable and consistent, but I do enjoy seeing Greg throw as well. Favourite boutique company? Well, see, that's tricky. RPM is my local brand, being from New Zealand . . . but I don't think they qualify as boutique exactly. XCom? I bought a starter set from them a while ago for a laugh, and still bag all three. The U-Helios has become my go-to hyzer-flip to turn, with my beginner arm, and is often my best for distance (topping out about 240 feet so far).
Doomsday is my favorite boutique brand! I love the blackout! Got my neighbor a flat earth and now it's one of his main discs. I've tried a few distance driver prototypes but didn't love them. Would love to try a few of the others. Great video! Nice to see someone giving them an honest review and little love!
As a member of doomsday discs thank you for making this video. And I would recommend maybe making another video a part 2 because you missed out of some of the best discs we have in the line. Again thank for giving us a shout out with this video❤❤
My favorite boutique brand is Elevation for sure! What I love about them is the kind owners and the beautiful colors of their discs. I am on Team Elevation actually, but was a fan first and team member second. They are actually how I found your channel, though we got to meet at Caesar Ford last year😊. Another great video on a cool small brand.
Not sure if Clash counts, but I am a huge fan of the mint. I also love the names, there is just something so funny about people coming to stores and asking for a Mango😅
Congratulations, you are our third and final giveaway winner! Please contact us for more information at sixsideddiscs@gmail.com and provide your youtube handle that posted the comment, if anyone else contacts you about this giveaway, please disregard.
My favorite boutique brand has to be Daredevil Discs. Their plastic has a great grip to it and their rubber/plastic blend makes some of their discs amazing for hilly courses. I have 4 Blackouts now from doomsday and they are super fun to throw.
If Clash discs counts as a boutique brand, I would say they're my favorite. Their discs seem like solid quality and the mold names hit a special place in my heart as a sweets lover haha
I have been really impressed by Wing It discs. I bag a Stratosphere and love it. It's an understable fairway driver I have thrown some very sick forehand lines and left friends speechless with. The Dream (distance driver) is my preferred roller. The plastic is superb and the stamps are top tier.
Personal favorite is my local brand Viking discs. Not so small I know, but still overtly underrated. They have a pretty small and simple lineup of discs and disc golf products that is very affordable but doesn't lack in quality and consistency. My favorite product is their rucksack pro that I picked up on sale for under 50€. a full sized bag that holds 20+ discs comfortably and has space to spare for the essentials.
i have unfortubately yet to throw any discs from smaller brands, but ever since your video about rubber discs ive been really interested in elevation discs! as a fellow ohioan, keep up the amazing disc golf content
Heck yea! My son has an entire bag of Dino Discs, he loves them, although he almost never throws with me (ugh!) but he likes to get them out to show his friends!
I have 6 doomsday discs and like all of them. The Blackout and the Dystopia are very good! The Scope and Area 51 I like for approaches. The Bleak and Desolation I just got and am still testing but nice so far. Edit: Just made my furthest putt today at 120 feet with my 176g Scope! Beautiful anhyzer to center basket!
I threw a Landmine a while back. I was surprised at how it flew. Nothing at all like my other 2/2/0/2 discs. I was very impressed with it, despite thinking it was a practical joke come to life. I have really been enjoying watching the content here, so keep it coming. My favourite boutique brand? I am not sure what constitutes boutique, but I think I am going to go with Westside Discs. They have the power of Latitude 64 behind them, but I feel as if they are the ‘poor cousin’ in terms of branding compared to the other Trilogy (Quadrilogy? Quintilogy?) discs. And nothing says boutique more than not being able to buy their discs from their website.
LOL I love the description of Westside discs, every time Dynamic puts out the list of stuff they plan to make for the year, there's just so much less Westside than anything else, but what do people ask me for at tournaments? Westside. Westside. Westside. It's hilarious, I'm not really sure what the whole dynamic is with all of them now with "House of Discs" but some of the new plastic effects like Orbit Glow and Ice Orbit look sick, I'm bagging a VIP Ice Orbit Bear right now as a stable tee bird type slot, loving it so far!
The VIP Tursas is in my bag, its great and effortless to flip or turn, as well as the VIP Fortress, best feeling OS 10-speed I have thrown (compared to H1v2, Invictus, C-Line PD, Orc) ^_^ Got a Sword, Harp, Crown as well, great discs, but not for me right now.
@@SixSidedDiscs That is funny to read as I almost sent a ‘loved the content, but where the f* was the Bear’ in response to the recent Tee-Bird comparison video. House of Discs? Not crazy about that title, but something has to replace Trilogy.
My favorite boutique brand is RPM. I love their stamps, their naming conventions, and the PEKAPEKA (Very fun to say) is also very fun to throw (in the shot-shaping fairway diver class), and has found a place in my bag.
Good video. My favorite boutique brand would Sacred discs. Nikko is an underappreciated gift to the disc golf world, and so far all the discs are really good.
Doomsday does have a great marketing model and have had my interest since it’s early days on Twitter. Probs my fav boutique style manufacturer, would def be nice if they were more widely available but i guess that’s why they are boutique
This is a really tough choice between Kastaplast and Clash. If Clash had a Berg clone (maybe the Burger 🍔), then they'd win hands down. As it is, I still think Clash edges out Kastaplast for best small manufacturer.
I picked up a WMD just for a giggles and it's fun. But my favorite brand is Elevation. I'm currently bagging two geckos, one in each rubber, a koi for putting and an arrowana as a driving putter. I love the feel of the rubber and being able to avoid some nasty skips.
Doomsday's marketing and naming scheme is unique but very enjoyable. I'm excited to see what new molds they release in the future. Still haven't tried any for myself yet.
I'm always a fan of small companies that don't take themselves too serious like Doomsday. I have a few of theirs and like them so far.
I love the doomsday scope. Such a weird rim but it flies so well. My favorite boutique company is definitely Loft, though, because I'm a chemist and their nomenclature is appealing to me (silicon, hydrogen, bohrium, etc)

Glad you enjoyed it, I respect the commitment to their marketing, it is by far the most all around marketing approach I've seen.

Doomsday was not even on my radar but you have put them on it and for that, they should praise and award you appropriately for drawing in new customers. Thank you. 👍

Thanks! We will!
Elevation Disc has some interesting disc. I enjoy both the KOI and the BINX.
Member of Team Doomsday here. Just an FYI, the Bunker Buster was just recently approved :).
Not the prototype though
Love the flight of the depth charge!
I got the blackout as a mystery item from infinite. MAN I was blown away by how it flew. Its so well rounded for a ton of shot shapes. It can be unpredictable in higher winds, but it has improved my game significantly. Thats why Doomsday is my favorite boutique.
Nice! I'm glad it wasn't a one-off for us, I figured since all 3 plastics flew well that it wasn't a fluke!

Never thought I'd see a random clip from The Darjeeling Limited.
Great video, Greg. This is my favorite DG channel
I love my Doomsday discs. And the bunker buster was PDGA approved on 31 July 2023. Depth charge is my go to dangerous approach disc.
Great video! You guys have one of the best formats for doing reviews I've come across. Always fun to watch and well shot and edited. I'm going to go with trash panda for my boutique brand pick. Great story, plastic, and discs.

Love the Landmine!!! Crazy, but love the grip and flight.
I like their kinda "punk rock" approach. Cool name, they do their own thing, release unapproved discs. I like it
I bought a Landmine not even knowing it was a putter. It just connected with me. It took some close inspection to even see who made it. Now I'm a fan
Trash panda is awesome, I love that they use recycled plastic!
i like the names of their plastics and names of discs.
The Bunker Buster is approved since July 31 ^_^
That blooper throw stright on the skinniest line between all of the trees + the face was priceless :P
I like the business model of Trash Panda and how Jesse presents his videos. Six Sided Discs also
Love the blackout. The rot putter is butter for throwing and putting.
Great video. My favorite boutique brand are all the smaller brands owned by the big ones lol
Blackout will always stay in my bag, but you gotta try out the frag
I have a Flat Earth in my bag. It's been great for tight wooded shots for me so far. I was looking for someone to have a review of there lineup before I bagged my Doomsday disc. Thanks for all the info
Loft discs. The unique feel is what I'm loving from them.
I love Doomsday's marketing!
I like the way the discs look and the name are unique too
🥏 can’t wait for more, your laugh off the tee was the best part lol.
Some of these discs are very interesting. Thanks for showing the flights.
Clash is my favorite boutique brand. I don't see myself ever not throwing a Clash Ginger. Such a nice flat top, overstable 9 speed.

I got a Blackout about 6 months ago and absolutely love it. Best turnover, hyzer flip disc I've got. The plastics really good too.
Doomsday
I love the originality
Thanks, been curious about these guys, but income has beat curiosity for now 😂
