You might look at the dart cast heads(might also get them from Jegs or Summit with free shipping) if you don't want to spend the huge money on the raylar ones. As you said you do a ton of the work yourself so you can max out what the 203 camshaft is capable of with those heads vs the aluminum raylar ones. Only advantages the aluminum heads will have are weight and heat removal if you were going with a turbo or supercharger. Flow would come into place with the 206 or larger cams though.

Would be nice to pin the cooling fans into the the pcm connector and have the pcm set up to run the fans, like factory equipment.

Smarter thing to do with the fans/switches is to run it through ba relay setup, then you can run what you want and don't overload even a cheap switch as well as not having to run that much power everywhere.

Glad I found your channel and thanks for the list of horsepower mods! I’ve got a 2500 Yukon XL w/ the 8.1L w/ 4.10 ratio. Not a wrencher myself, so would have to pay to have mods done. I have the cold air intake and bigger exhaust pipes w/o catalytic converters. Using the truck to haul my fam and a big travel trailer all over the US. I’ve got a 97 K2500 with a 350 and 4L80E. My brother had basically your truck except a Chevrolet and always loved his 8.1. I’m going to do a 8.1 swap in my truck and keep the 4L80E and use a shift kit to save some money. Really want a six speed or Allison but don’t want to fork out the extra money. Going to get an AAM 10.5 with 4:11’s out of a 6.0 and regear the front to keep up with 35’s. I figure an 8.1 like yours with a little smaller cam should be good to haul 12-15k lbs once in a while in a gooseneck configuration. Probably haul 4-6k routinely
