My favorite Scrunchie pattern. I do tons of potholders for gifts and this Scrunchie is perfect for using up the leftover yarn.

When I was a lttle girl I had a ponytail just like this. It was my favort. I dont even know where I got it. Sadly when my ponytail finly gave out after years of use I could not find any thing like it. This is great is looks very simple. I think I will go and get me some yarn the kind you recomend and make these. My girls will love them.

It is very easy to see when I go slow at the beginning that I go through the center of the tie. So, under!

I found that if u want to use another yarn that u have to put 2 of the loops in each stitch. Sometimes they come out really full and loopy, but I think they are really cute.

Connie, thanks for the info. I stopped at Walmart and bought a couple of Peaches and Cream Yarn, hope they are the same as Cream and Sugar. Has anyone tried this yarn on these? It's all they had till I can get to JoAnns. I'm not a fan of cotton but I really like the ripples you are getting with this yarn. thanks

About how much yarn does one hair scrunchie take? Want to find some scraps if I can. Why is it I have every other type of yarn but none of the Sugar and Cream? Great video, very easy to follow. thanks

Just want you to know I'm having problems with this video. It stops around 2:57 and I just can't get it to go further. The good news is I saw it first on all free crochet. it's such a cute idea, I just have to make some. Thank you.

Hi Sharon, I'm not really sure how much yardage each one takes, but I would guess if you made one in one color of the Sugar and Cream it would take about 1/2 of the skein. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

@caseyandsons So sorry you can't view after the 3 minute mark. It works fine for me and I had a few friends check and it works for them as well. You could try clearing your cache on your pc and see if that helps. Thank you for the nice comment!

It works better with the cotton yarns, the acrylic mixes like the red heart ones don't work very well like she said.

How do you keep the ends from coming out when the crunchie is pulled open. Mine does and I can't stop it.

My great niece has super long curly hair that this would be so cute on, but my niece, (her mother ) won't let her wear anything I make for her. I'll have to make some and donate somewhere. Isn't that just a bummer??
