I ordered 2 30mm metal jets for my rc yaht upgrade you think 2 2200kv outrunners and 2 60amp escs will work I uploaded a old vid on my channel its 27''' inches lol... and the escs are 2 to 6s capable
which out motor could be bought for present time, Aquacraft's are out of stock. and also maintain the self righting. It will be run on a 2s only. Thank you lovely video
Can you provide a link to that hardware. I have a jet Jam and I want to do the same thing. Those smaller KV motors free up so much room. Can those be used on an rc car? Also so you know where I can get an adapter to connect the esc power to the 7v battery ?
Nice! Im looking at my motors and esc now to do mine. Cant wait until the next video to see how much faster it is, and how it sounds. Not a fan of brushed motors from the '70s. Not sure why any mfg would still use them. Do you know if the FS012 mono china boat's prop can be upgraded to metal? Im using mine with pool noodles as a rescue and thinking about more torque.
Nice upgrade and only recommend a battery stop added so the battery can’t get against the outrunner👍❤️With the battery back farther may keep that jet from coming out the water and loosing propulsion .
@IRONCLAD RC I understand....I was able to find an esc/motor combo that are waterproof for mine that seems to work ok. I had to add extra weights to the rear to compensate for weight of 3s battery. It's fun on a small pond . It still cavitates some. I can't believe Proboat made them so slow from the factory. For the cost when they first came out, they really should of been a little better.

Basically, might want to measure the stock motor shaft so you can pick your motor according to shaft size so you don't have to buy a new coupler. If I remember correctly it's 2.3mm? I think could be wrong

Yea you should be okay, Twin motor so the load will be shared between the two jet pumps

How do you access the screws to remove motor ? You have to take hull apart ?
@kensmith7491 it's very tight, 1/8 turns at a time, Motor plate comes off with the motor then you remove the motor from the plate

Just got back from my test run a 3000 kv motor should be a little quicker than a 2200. Bummer there's no upgraded impellers

I’m working on the same recovery boat, I decided to use a separate transmitter because it will recover a boat that I use my DX5 with.
How are you liking the upgrade?
It's okay for what I use it for (recovery) if you wanna go faster I'd go with a higher kv motor 4500kv'isg

Yes 2200 but I recommend a higher kv if your wanting to go faster
